Relationship Advice: Do NOT remind each other of the PAST!

There is no relationship that is free from misunderstanding.

There is no relationship that is free from the opportunity of conflict

or the temptation of confrontation.

It's part of every normal relationship.

But please, people of God,

when such disagreements come,

especially when emotions are heightened,

do not remind each other of the past. It's a trap!

When there is that conflict, disagreement or misunderstanding,

don't remind each other of the past - past hurt, past pain, past wrong.

No. It's a trap of the devil.

Each time you remind each other of that past pain, hurt or mistake,

you are reopening the wounds God has already provided healing for.

You are polluting the cleansing process

of Christ's Word in your heart.

You are championing the devil's conclusions

about your life, marriage, family.
