2:45 - 2:48learns Esperanto in school.

2:50 - 2:52either Italian or French
-
2:52 - 2:54or maybe both languages,

2:54 - 2:57but everyone certainly can speak Esperanto

2:57 - 2:59So in the city, everyone speaks

2:59 - 3:01their own languages at home,

3:01 - 3:03and when they go out,
-
3:03 - 3:05they speak French

3:05 - 3:07with French shopkeepers,

3:07 - 3:09but sometimes they meet

3:09 - 3:11Italian shopkeepers,

3:11 - 3:13who don't know French,

3:13 - 3:15and then they simply use Esperanto.

3:15 - 3:17The goal of the language, isn't it?

3:21 - 3:23want to advertise their wares

3:23 - 3:25to the French and the Italians.

5:10 - 5:13"Well, we both speak Esperanto.

5:14 - 5:15I speak Italian.

5:15 - 5:17We always speak Esperanto together.

5:17 - 5:20The local second language is Esperanto.

5:20 - 5:22We'll just teach Esperanto

5:22 - 5:23to the child."

5:23 - 5:25Not intentionally!

5:25 - 5:26Maybe we just speak it,

5:26 - 5:29because it is the most fitting language.

6:06 - 6:07now is Esperanto,

6:07 - 6:10and everyone uses Esperanto together.

6:13 - 6:15they no longer see a reason to teach

6:15 - 6:17French in school

6:17 - 6:19or Italian in school.
