[Interview with a member who's leaving]

It was so much fun.

I felt so lucky to have
such amazing housemates, at the start.

And even after we opened up,
they were all truly good people.

So, leaving was the best idea,
because we had heart-to-heart talks.

[DID YOUR VIEW ON LOVE CHANGE?]
My view on love...

I started falling in love quickly.

Up until now,
I hadn't fallen for someone so quickly.

But if I was interested in someone,

I'd think that I might like them,
and maybe become lovesick.

[AMI KOMURO]
At first, she called me a handyman,

and that annoyed me.

But as we started talking,
I saw that was her way of interacting.

So I started to think she was really cute.

We'd be in the playroom,

and she'd invite me to watch a movie

or eat somen together.

I thought it was really sweet.

When I gave her flowers,

it made her so happy.

In that moment,
I noticed how pretty her smile was.

I really did like her.

I saw so many great qualities in her

and I thought she was lovely.

I still think Ami is a great person

I'd like to get drinks together sometime.

Maybe I'll contact her.

[SEINA SHIMABUKURO]
Ever since she arrived,

I thought she was marriage material.

I thought I'd be lucky
to have a woman like her as my wife.

Gradually, I started to really like Seina,

and saw that we got along really well.

And as we went on more dates,

I thought, "Huh? Have I fallen for her?"

[THE KISS WITH SEINA]
Well, we went out to eat...

The restaurant was great.

And at that nice restaurant,

Seina looked radiant.

We were both getting a little drunk,

and I kept thinking I wanted to kiss her.

I mean, if we're going out to dinner,

there must be feelings there,
even if just a little.

So I decided to go for it that night.

As we were waiting for the taxi outside,

we had some time alone,

and the timing seemed right, so...

"Now!", I thought.

Although the timing wasn't right,

in my head it felt like it had to be now,

so I decided to go for it.

And I just did it really quickly.

After that, we kissed in the taxi,

And I thought, "I did it!"

She smelled like strawberries.

Since the new album, I had some gigs...

and Seina had been busy at work,

so I was nervous,
wondering when I should tell her.

At the same time,
since Noah said he also liked her,

I thought I should tell her
as soon as possible.

To be honest,
I felt that she would turn me down.

I wasn't confident that
she would accept me.

I realized I can't win someone
who's out of my league like her yet.

So that made me change my mind
and realize I needed to improve myself.

It turned out that
being rejected was for the best.

[YUI TANAKA]
Yui was with me until just before I left,

so we spent a lot of time in the house.

I talked a lot with her.

She was like a little sister to me,

the closest friend I had there.

So, since she was so amiable,

by the end, I began hoping
to marry her someday.

I began thinking that
if she was my wife, I might be happy.

And I'd also want to
make her happy, of course.

By the end, maybe I had
romantic feelings for her.

10 years from now...

Perhaps.
In 10 years, Yui would be...

Actually, 5 years?
Yui'll be 25 and I'll be 35 years old.

Right?

Then, if we meet again,
I might end up proposing to her.

She may be my ideal as a wife.

[THE GOING-AWAY CONCERT]
Well, obviously...

as a musician,

since it was the last time,
I wanted to convey what I felt in song.

The name Rambling Rose
means the ivy of a rose.

It means being tangled up.

For me, it means a place
you don't want to leave.

So, I wish I could keep
living in Terrace House,

but it was time to leave the nest.

Having said that,
I wish to hold onto these memories,

and spend more time with everyone.

So, I composed the song
with those feelings.

[GOALS ACHIEVED?]
From the very beginning,

I hoped to compose songs
using my own emotions, without fiction.

At first, I met Ami and came to like her.

So when suddenly she decided to leave,

I was really shaken up.

And I thought, "So this is Terrace House!"

That allowed me to write "Umbrella",
a song inspired by Ami.

After that,

I was a bit interested in Mayu,

and I came to like Seina.

That made me able to
make songs and release our album.

So I believe I was able to...

achieved my original goal.

My biggest aim right now is
to perform at the NHK Kohaku contest,

so that I can show it to my grandma,
while she's still alive.

She is about 88 years old,

so I hope to sing at Kohaku
within the next 2 years.
