Wei wei is courageous and able
  • Not Synced
to make both his art and his being revolve around these questions
  • Not Synced
of freedom of speech, freedom of expression.
  • Not Synced
I mean it's interesting how here in London,
  • Not Synced
and across the world, I must say
  • Not Synced
how many people have wanted to take part in this event.
  • Not Synced
Through this silly act of dancing of dancing,
  • Not Synced
you know, we can actually make a difference.
  • Not Synced
It's very very interesting, isn't it?
  • Not Synced
That pop music, which is in a way the most opened of cultural forums,
  • Not Synced
of lands itself to such a wide wide public
  • Not Synced
and allows us to perhaps insert into it other meanings.
  • Not Synced
I come along because at least I initiate trying to do something
  • Not Synced
and I feel little bit guilty about not having done something myself.
  • Not Synced
But here I am, I can participate in some activity
  • Not Synced
that supports a cause very near to my heart.
  • Not Synced
It's unimaginable to me who've lived freely all my life,
  • Not Synced
able to say what I want, do what I want
  • Not Synced
and just to imagine today guys who get punished
  • Not Synced
and you know, excluded from society
  • Not Synced
because they're doing the same thing.
  • Not Synced
  • Not Synced
    It's really, it's really upsetting.
  • Not Synced
    I'm not here to dance
  • Not Synced
because my knees gave up their dancing days long ago.
  • Not Synced
But I'm here to trying wave my arms
  • Not Synced
I think I can manage that.

Louisiana Channel joined, along with hundreds of friends, to attend British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor's studio recording of the 'Gangnam for Freedom'-video in support of Ai Weiwei.

In this video Kapoor comments on the possibilities of using pop music as a means of expressing political messages.
