I'm shooting for my zine today.

My previous zine consisted of collages that I made myself at home.

This time I reached out to people I wanted to create something with,

and we're all creating one work together.

The art direction, like taking photos and shooting videos,

is being done by Mana Hiraki.

Makeup is being done by hitomi,

my hair stylist at the salon MINX that I always go to.

She's doing my hair and makeup.

It's so much fun!

It's looking like we'll be creating something that has a different vibe from the band.

I put a lot of thought into the concept.

We put out an album called "MIRROR,"

and there's a song on there called "Kanojo wa Wave" (She Is a Wave)

that I wrote and sing lead vocals on.

I'm making this zine with a worldview inspired by that song.

I thought it'd be interesting if I was able to make a work like that.

The world of the song...

Getting to see that with your own eyes...

I thought it'd be great if I could make something like that.

I told that to everyone,

and it all came together as we discussed ideas.

At any rate, making a zine...

How should I put it?

It's not something that you need to do, like a job--

It's about wanting to make something that you feel excited about making.

That's the only rule.

Things that you get you excited,

things that you enjoy,

things that you love--

you include all that.

It's a fun crafting time.

I'll have fun making it today too.

Today's video will feature behind the scenes of making this zine.

I think a lot of people have listened to this song,

but I'd be happy if you could re-listen to it and connect it in that way.

First,

we're doing a flower scene.

It'll look like this.

It's like I'm now a bouquet of flowers.

That's what we'll be making.

For my makeup,

we put blush up to the top of my eyes,

and my eyebrows were filled in with a reddish tint.

A matte orange-pink lip tint.

For my eye makeup,

we added eyeliner that covers my eyelashes.

And for my hair...

It's very wavy.

That's what it all looks like.

It's going to be fun!

They don't sell tights during this time of year.

I dyed them.

-I washed them once with detergent to fade the color.

Your outfit and the flowers will be tangled up.

It's finally materializing,

what I wanted to do together.

You did really well to prep during this time of year...

I was like, "Is there anything missing?"

About a month?

I decided what I wanted to do a while back,

and since I had always wanted to work with hitomi and Hiraki,

I've always had an image in my head of what that was...

There are things you can't do

unless you're the you you are at that time.

I wanted to do something with people who don't know me when I'm working.

Stuff like wanting to work with someone who likes to cook.

Let's go!

We're arranging flowers on my clothes.

It feels odd.

It turned out to be retro-looking.

The look we're going for is that I've become the girl of "Kanojo wa Wave."

I'm becoming the girl that "Kanojo wa Wave" is about.

I'm the girl of the wave--

I wrote the song imagining a girl that can't be grabbed hold of,

and lives freely like a wave.

So, at any rate,

The image I'm going for

is of someone that's living their life as if they're swimming while their heart's fluttering.

That's really cool! It's really good.

The colors of the cloth are insane.

-It is.
-It's really cute.

It has a nuanced feel throughout it.

-The uneveniness of it is also cute.
-It is.

I think it's really amazing when your own tastes show despite someone else shooting it.

It really oozes out.

The soup coming out of it is awesome.

A nice soup is coming out of it.

Next, I'm changing up my hair and makeup.

It's going really well.

I'm having fun!

Day two of shooting for the zine.

Today we're making a seabed scene.

I pictured it as a seabed dinner party.

What should we do?
(*Asking whether or not I should wear a headset)

I think it'd be better to not go with it.

Let's try this out once.

How about earrings?

-Do you have pierced ears?
-I do.

-Clear earrings seem like they'd go well.
-They do.

These are nice.

Clear earrings are adorable.

-It's giving "ocean" vibes.
-Right?

Filled with dreams.

It's fun, isn't it?

These clothes are ones that you could only wear as a kind of costume.

I really look like a sea anemone.

We decided on clothing that looked like an anemone,

but to think that you found clothing that looks this anemone-ish?

When I was first told about the "sea" theme,

I was wondering what to do,

but I found such a perfect outift.

I mean, this outfit...

It's like it was made for this day.

It's better not to look too human,

so she should look more pale.

Maybe make her lips look like a hologram.

I'm turning completely into something on the bottom of the sea.

This fine white sand really makes it look like the seabed.

This is aquarium sand.

It's coral sand.

So pretty.
