Smaktest Predator

  • 0:02 - 0:06
the 3 most common species in
    Swedish lakes are
  • 0:06 - 0:07
    Pike
  • 0:07 - 0:08
    Perch
  • 0:08 - 0:09
    Zander
  • 0:09 - 0:14
You've always heard that zander is
the best fish to eat amongst these 3
  • 0:14 - 0:17
Perch is so tasty on sandwich
  • 0:17 - 0:23
and pike is so much bone in it
but you can eat it with horseradish
  • 0:24 - 0:28
Sara and I will fish in a regular
    Swedish lake
  • 0:28 - 0:32
and catch those 3 species and then we'll
    do a tasting test
  • 0:32 - 0:36
Is it possible, by cook them the same way,
    feel a difference in taste
  • 0:36 - 0:40
Not only a challenge to see if they
    taste different
  • 0:41 - 0:44
The big challenge will be to catch
    these 3 speicies
  • 0:44 - 0:47
It's early spring, cold in the water
  • 0:47 - 0:51
You can't count on the fish to be active
  • 0:51 - 0:55
But the things we do to see if it's
    actually any difference in taste
  • 0:56 - 1:00
In lakes this early in the spring,
the perch can often be found in deep holes
  • 1:00 - 1:03
    or on the edges,
    pressed against the bottom
  • 1:04 - 1:06
The pike is where the bait fish is
  • 1:06 - 1:11
The zander can be tricky but you often
    find them on a shallow
  • 1:13 - 1:17
There is one lure that can catch
    all 3 species
  • 1:17 - 1:19
    And that is flatnose mini
  • 1:20 - 1:25
Flatnose mini is a well known lure
which we fished with a lot
  • 1:25 - 1:28
And most often it has been the
    key to success
  • 1:28 - 1:30
Let's hope it's the same this time
  • 1:30 - 1:34
But first we'll read some of your comments
  • 1:34 - 1:37
    First comment is from Grisfeber
    and he wonder why
  • 1:37 - 1:42
I turn to a Skåning when I say toad
as I did in the latest video
  • 1:42 - 1:43
    A toooaad
  • 1:43 - 1:45
    A real toooaaad
  • 1:45 - 1:47
    A toooaaad perch
  • 1:47 - 1:51
And the reason is that I fished bream with
Alexander Björk a few years back
  • 1:51 - 1:55
He's from Skåne and say tooaaad
    to al the big breams
  • 1:56 - 1:58
This was a toooaaad, it was
  • 1:58 - 2:02
It sounded so funny so I started
    to say that aswell
  • 2:02 - 2:06
toooaaad to all big perch or fish
    or whatever
  • 2:07 - 2:12
    We've got a comment from Frejsan14
who wants us to say hello to her mother
  • 2:12 - 2:16
So hello mother and Frejsan 14
So fun you watch our videos together
  • 2:17 - 2:22
HolyN-Evil wonders if we will fish
at the west coast this summer
  • 2:23 - 2:27
We've actually planned that out, Me and
Edvin will go there and try som sea fishing
  • 2:27 - 2:31
after a vary of species, and you don't
want to miss out on that
  • 2:31 - 2:37
Dick Löfrgren says that we gilding his
    sundays, so thank you
  • 2:37 - 2:41
I hope you keep on watching now
cause me and Tobbe is about to catch some
  • 2:49 - 2:54
A good start to the day
    It's stormy weather
  • 2:54 - 2:59
Not that easy to ramp the boat
when the water is pushed straight in
  • 2:59 - 3:06
task number 1 today is to get the boat
in the water, there are a lot of stones
  • 3:06 - 3:10
I don't want to scrape it all up
  • 3:10 - 3:17
The idea is for us to start fishing for perch
but it's hard to even feel the strikes
  • 3:17 - 3:22
it wont be easy, but on the bright side
    we have no rain
  • 3:23 - 3:28
If i push the boat that way, it will just
    blow straight back
  • 3:28 - 3:31
we need to push it alongside the shore
  • 3:31 - 3:34
and then jump in the boat out there
  • 3:35 - 3:38
come on Sara, let's start pushing
  • 3:38 - 3:41
    - No stones please
    - easy to say Tobbe
  • 3:43 - 3:44
    push Sara!
  • 3:47 - 3:50
No need to worry, this was easy
  • 3:55 - 4:00
You don't want to rig the rods in the
    storm on this lake
  • 4:00 - 4:03
    with really clear water
  • 4:03 - 4:06
Therefore we'll go in there where we
can have som shelter from the wind
  • 4:06 - 4:09
behind this point it looks perfect
