  • 0:01 - 0:02
Here's a quick tip for moving objects
  • 0:02 - 0:04
    around by defined increments.
  • 0:05 - 0:07
So you can snap objects by holding
  • 0:07 - 0:09
command on Mac or control on PC,
  • 0:09 - 0:11
and they'll move in defined increments.
  • 0:11 - 0:14
For example if I drag this now holding the command key
  • 0:14 - 0:16
    I can move it around.
  • 0:17 - 0:20
You can set these increments by going to Edit
  • 0:21 - 0:25
Snap Settings and define how many units you want things to move by
  • 0:25 - 0:27
And you can see from this panel that the same goes
  • 0:27 - 0:29
    for scaling and rotation.
  • 0:29 - 0:31
    Holding command will move
  • 0:31 - 0:34
those defined amount of degrees at a time.
  • 0:37 - 0:39
If you want to snap by vertex
  • 0:39 - 0:41
you can hold down the V key
  • 0:42 - 0:45
and then drag a particular vertex of your model
  • 0:45 - 0:47
to a vertex on the environment.
  • 0:48 - 0:50
This is more useful when snapping together
  • 0:50 - 0:52
    modular parts of an environment.
