“Prayer is not a performance. You will not be marked by how loud you shout or how fervently you engage this flesh. Don't reduce prayer to a religious ritual where impressive words matter more than sincere motives. Who are we to think that our Maker does not see our motives? You cannot hide from your Healer. You can't disguise yourself before your Deliverer. Our pretence cannot deceive our Provider. He knows you. He knows your heart. He sees you clearly. The answer is to humble yourself before His mighty hand. Humility acknowledges wrong; pride justifies it. Humility opens up; pride covers up.”
