Gacharic Spin originally had dancers in the band, and they were active for quite a long time.

After dancers graduated, I wanted to put in new blood who could fill a similar role.

I wanted for them to be able to sing and rap.

I thought it would be nice to name it mic performer.

When I found Angie, I named her mic performer.

I didn't think there were many other bands with that kind of role.

Did you find her during the audition?

I joined after three months of auditioning.

Originally, I saw you singing at a school festival.

She was a high school girl.

You were in the second year of high school, right?

I was singing and playing the guitar of Aimyon-san songs.

When she saw me, she was curious about something, so she asked me.

I used to listen to Super Beaver when I was a kid.

When you play on the stage, did you peform your own songs?

I wanted to do it, but I didn't have a sense for it.

If I'm going to do something crazy, I'd rather play a song that I remember.

I thought I couldn't do it without it.

That's why I played Aimyon.

Why did you start playing the bass?

I started with what was left over.

When we were forming a band we didn't have a bassist.

That's when I started playing the bass.

I didn't know the difference between bass and guitar.

I started with a sober mind.

I didn't think I'd be doing this for so long.

I really didn't think I'd start a band myself.

I don't know what's going to happen in my life.

The kids I used to play with at the time wanted to do music.

I was one of those kids.

Now that I think about it, everyone who wanted to do music quit and I'm the only one left.

I'm the only one left.

But that's how much I like the band and the bass playing.

We make one thing together.

I see. You don't care which one you're in charge of.

Looking back on it now, I could have played any part.

I don't know, I guess, but bass suited me.

What made you start a band called Gacharic Spin?

That F Chopper girl you mentioned was in a band.

I was the only one who's going to leave that band.

The band was about to make a major debut.

We had a lot of talk about it.

I thought I was a little different, so I quit.

I tried to go back to my parent's house after I quit music.

I thought if I were to do it again, I'd do it more seriously and for the last time.

Hana is a guitar vocalist now.

But at that time, I asked Hana to join a band together as a drummer.

She said she'd do it.

If Hana hadn't said she'd do it, Gacharic Spin wouldn't have been possible.

And probably I wouldn't be doing music anymore.

Speaking of Gacharic Spin, I feel like there's a variety of music in it.

It's a genre-less band.

When did you decide on that kind of sound?

From the beginning, I wanted to combine digital and rock sound.

There weren't a lot of girls doing rock music, so I wanted to do that.

We also wanted to do ballads as well.

Rather than wanting to do only specific genre, I wanted to make something like this.

As it went on, it became a non-genre.

There are a lot of very playful members.

Koga-san made an instructional DVD.

It's made by a group of people with such skills.

I have an image that it came out naturally.

Did it come naturally? Or you needed to brush up?

We had to brush up.

It has decreased considerably now, but at the time, just by being a woman you'd get made fun of.

I didn't want people to say that I wasn't good at it.

I thought, let's put something flashy and technical as our weapons first.

I wanted to do something that catch people's eyes.

But I also wanted to do a song with a lot of ballads.

First of all, I wanted to stand out.

But, well, that's the summary.

I wanted to do something technical like that.

But there are a lot of women musicians now.

There are a lot of technical people.

At that time, there weren't that many.

In that sense, I think we stood out.

Is there anything difficult as a leader?

Of course there is.

If I say there's nothing difficult, I would be lying.

There are a lot of things, but it's not because I'm a leader.

Everyone has their own position.

Everyone has their own difficulties, but that part is the leader.

I was wondering what I should do to make each member shine.

When I get a lot of opinions, I make a lot of decisions.

In that sense, I often worry about it.

What do you focus on when performing?

For example, to liven up the audience's agitation.

What I'm trying to do is to be honest all the time.

So I can understand the feelings of the audience.

How do you approach the radio show?

I'm doing two songs, so if the same person talks for 30 minutes.

I have to make sure that both of them have a positive effect.

I'm very careful about how to divide the story.

But I can't talk about things I haven't experienced.

I'm going to deliver a more personal part on TBS radio.

I'm going to talk about what I'm feeling right now in the midst of the recent situation.

Do you have any concerns?

I don't have any concerns.

What motivates you?

I'm just hoping that the name of the band will spread a little.

I'm Angelina 1/3 of Gacharic Spin, so when I'm on the media.

Yuri, the drummer, was announced on March 9, 2019.

Hana, the drum vocalist, was converted to a guitar vocalist.

What kind of decision did you make?

The a decision was not easy.

She has been playing drums for about 10 years.

The fact that a person comes forward and becomes a guitar vocalist.

I was wondering what was going on.

Hana can play all instruments.

She's the kind of person who thinks that music can be played in any part.

She said "I wanted to be a guitar vocalist".

She can say that "I wanted to be a guitar vocalist" even though she was a drummer.

She has been playing drums for 10 years.

Even if the person is prepared to make this change, maybe others cannot make this change.

I thought it would be interesting.

But it couldn't be done without Yuri, the drummer.

Hana became a guitar vocalist.

How have you been doing as a new band for the past five years?

I've always had a dream of wanting to be in a band.

I thought about how romantic and dreamy it was to be in the sound of a band that I loved.

I'm also doing my own activities.

So I wish I could pay back the band a little.

I'm always thinking about what I can do to keep being a member of Gacharic Spin.

Of course, the six of us are the members who joined later.

Your new album, W, will be released on July 5th.

It's the first album since you changed the label.

What was the theme of this album?

To be honest, we didn't have a direction.

All the members write songs and lyrics.

We each want to put in what we want to do.

In that sense, we've been making songs since before the album.

We've been doing it for a long time during the pandemic.

There are a lot of songs that aren't in this album yet.

We've been making songs for a long time, and when we put them together, we put in what we wanted.

Each member has a lot of songs with their own colors.

Where did the album title W come from?

When we lined up 10 songs, the concept of the album wasn't decided.

When we lined up, there were 10 songs with this kind of duality in them.

There was a new part that made me realize that each member had that kind of face and that kind of approach.

I think this is something that everyone can relate to in their daily lives.

Two-sidedness is something everyone has.

I think people can live a better life by loving both sides.

So we decided to put this title on it because it's a two-sided face.

From Koga's point of view, where do you think Angie's two-sidedness is?

She looks very bright, but she can be a bit dark.

There are some dark areas.

And she's surprisingly shy, right?

She doesn't seem to be shy.

When I went to see her on the radio the other day, when I entered the booth,

the person on the other side was a little cooler than I had imagined,

I thought she was going to greet me with a gusto.

From Angie's point of view, Koga's two-sidedness.

How do you guys make songs?

This time, we've been able to work on it for a long time.

It's a good song, so let's make lyrics and put them in.

As for these two, Hana, the guitar vocalist, will make the composition.

I will be thinking about the melody and the lyrics.

It's not like Hana and Tomo-zo are playing the guitar with the tempo of 180.

How do you decide the vocals?

Usually we have a general image of the song.

"Let's make it something that Oreo, Hana, and Angie can sing together".

Sometimes it's adjusted after the lyrics are written.

First of all, the first song, Replica.

It's a song with a sense of fast and a sharp cathartic tone.

I think it's a great lead song that fits the duality.

When it comes to the word Replica, I think there are a lot of people who have a negative image.

I think a lot of people feel like it's fake.

But it's precisely because there's that fake part, you can protect yourself and others.

Replica can be used to protect people and to protect yourself.

It's a song that I was able to express that a lot.

I think it's the best lead song in the album to express this duality called W.

On SNS (social media), you can have a different personality.

There's something a little scary about that, too.

And when you're dealing with people, don't you wonder what they're like?

What kind of face is this person using to talk to you?

I think it's a song that you can see yourself in it.

And in terms of interpersonal relationships,

in order to live as a person, there are things that you have to keep asking yourself.

There are parts that you have to digest in yourself.

I felt a lot through this song.

When I entered the recording booth, I was wondering which lyrics I can relate to myself.

I was reading them one by one and overlapping them with my sense of life.

I took a little bit of a beating from it.

What was the hardest part of recording?

Recording is really about the way you talk.

As I said earlier, I'm the kind of person

When I'm with myself, I have to think about how to match my sense of life one by one.

When each word comes into my body, I feel like I'm being dragged into the dark side.

But that's not a negative image.

I wrote and released the lyrics that everyone imagined.

I released the chorus as a keyword.

Then Oreo read everyone's lyrics and wrote the same nuance.

When guitarist Tomo-zo brought this song, there was a word called Replica in the melody.

Replica really sticks in your ears, so we used it as a theme for this song.

I wanted to mix in a little bit of everyone's lyrics,

so Oreo was the one to do it.

There was also a consultation about what to do about this song.

We wrote it to the last minute.

The lyrics were finished the day before the recording.

That's how we wrote it.

And the second song, The Come Up Chapter.

The two guitarists stand out in this song.

Tomo-zo wanted to make a song where the twin guitars come forward.

So we brought it and listened to it as a demo.

We had the lyrics to the point where I wanted to use it as a lead.

After that, Tomo-zo brought a lot of songs.

The lead of this album became Replica.

It's a song with a punch.

It's a very technical song, like many other Gacharic Spin songs.

It's a hot message sung by Angie.

I hope you'll pay attention to the lyrics that make Angie's singing voice stronger.

The Come Up Chapter also means the beginning of the show.

What kind of song is this?

The guitarist Tomo-zo wants to start with an interesting riff and a rap.

We wanted to make a song like that.

We made about 10 patterns of rap and riff.

We made it while thinking about which one would remain one's ears.

After that, the chorus was a very bright.

Gachapin seems to have a lot of bright songs, but this time there are no bright songs.

I wanted a bright song, and I thought it would be nice for Angie to sing a bright song.

At first, I put on summer-like lyrics.

But it became normal.

I thought it was different, so I decided to put in words that left a punch.

I was addicted to the words "Kachi-kachi Yama", and that's why I put them on.

I think there are a lot of things that are related to your daily life, such as the pressure you have with your boss and the things you always think about.

I think there are lyrics like that.

I thought it would be interesting for pop music to have the characters from the old stories, and I thought it would remain in my ears.

Momotaro is a hero, isn't he?

And people think that demons are bad guys.

What do you think when you think from the perspective of a demon?

If it's a story according to the demon, Momotaro might be a bad guy.

Momotaro became a hero because he had a demon.

If you don't have any encounters, you can't meet that kind of thing or feel that way.

I wanted to say that.

Sometimes you feel like crap because of a boss.

What do you think because you have a boss?

What do you think when you are in the position of a boss?

I wanted to write lyrics that asked such questions.

The words of the lyrics come out like Kintaro and Tanuki, so it's easy to think of it as an interesting song.

What I wanted to say is...

If you read it well, it's deep, isn't it?

That's right.

And the fourth song, Rabbit Hole.

It's a song where Angie and Hana-san swap twin vocals which are also a bit captivating.

That's true. The 5th lineup with these 6 members also have twin vocals.

I think it's a song that has a good balance and a new approach.

Rabbit Hole was originally a live song before it was included in the album.

A dream has become the meaning of this song.

But until then, it was about love?

That's right. It's a little bit more about love.

I like hyenas.

This time, I compared hyenas to dreams.

Dreams are sparkly.

But having a dream can crush you or hurt you.

So dreams and love are the same.

Because if you have someone you love or you have a dream, you feel like you can't get hurt anymore.

You're lost in a hole you don't know where to go.

I wanted to express that frustration.

And when I listened to the song, it had a mature atmosphere.

I wanted to write lyrics that couldn't be answered.

There are a lot of serious themes.

The only bright song is Kachikachi-Yama.

Did you have any thoughts about singing this song?

I've never sung a melodious song like this before.

It was my first time to put my voice on a song like this.

I think there was a song like that in the past, sung by Hana and Oreo, with a similar approach.

I was wondering how to sing this song.

I was wondering what to say to this mature melody.

When the theme was love, I didn't understand it even more.

I was wondering what love was.

When it came to the theme of dreams,

I thought about how I would sing while embracing my dreams.

It's strange to say this while calculating,

but I made it like a puzzle while assembling it.

Also, that's the song that Hana-san and I really sing together with twin vocals.

I wanted to clearly show the difference with Hana.

The meaning of singing with a twin vocals was very strong in this song.

I tried various approaches that Hana couldn't do.

Speaking of singing, the next song is Lonely Mart.

This is also a rock ballad song.

It was my first time to sing a song like this as a main.

Originally, there were two arrangements.

We were thinking about which one to use to make it sound like a ballad,

and which one to use to make it sound like a rock song.

There were two ideas.

The older sisters team decided to go in the direction of a ballad.

Yuri and I wanted to change it from the second half to a rock song.

Then, Oreo, who wrote and composed the song,

had a lot of thoughts about what to do.

But I wanted to include both elements,

so we made it sound like a ballad at first.

After that, we changed the tempo and made it a rock song.

That's how we made this song.

We call it the kindest cheering song on this album.

There is a frustrating feeling of a person who wants to be alone but doesn't want to be alone.

When I felt that kind of feeling,

I felt that it would be nice if this song could be a song that gently pat someone's back.

I took the vocals with that in mind.

It's a bit of a catharsis to make it a rock song from a ballad.

That the feeling of opening the bar makes it more emotionally explosive.

I felt like I could explode my emotions more.

I thought it was normal, but I wanted to express it in the form of music.

I was very happy to be able to do that.

And the sixth song, Kira Kirai.

This is the impressive "I hate sparkles" song.

I was jogging a lot during the pandemic.

At that time, I had a dream of a sparkling love.

The more sparkling it is, the more I hate it.

I thought it would be interesting if I could write a song that I hated.

I wrote the lyrics and threw them to Hana-san.

I just wanted to say that I hate the chorus.

What happened?

What happened while you were jogging?

I was reading a lot of books at that time.

I was reading a manga about a naive girl falling in love.

It was a jogging from there.

That's the lyrics.

I wrote down the lyrics on my phone and threw them to Hana-san.

Then, at a relatively early stage, I thought, how about this arrangement?

I thought it wouldn't go with this melody.

We decided to play it live even before it was included in the album.

It's a popular song for girls, so I thought I'd put it in this time.

And the seventh song, Voice.

That's why I named it Voice.

When I think about it, I really hated the sound of my voice.

There were times when I was bullied for my voice and built a complex.

But now I'm standing in the front with this voice as a weapon.

I'm so happy to be in a band.

I wrote the lyrics with my father's feelings in mind.

This song was the last one to slip in.

Originally, I thought it wouldn't be able to get in.

She had the song for a long time, but this song is amazing.

This song is really good, so I want to put it in.

When we were talking about writing lyrics and submitting them again.

Other members were arranging and doing other lyrics.

When Angie said she'd write it, I was hooked.

I'm sure this will be in the album.

I'm so happy that it made it in.

The song that have been kept warm for a long time are now being played by the new members.

The fact that the new members put the lyrics on and expressed it in the current form.

What were your thoughts when you heard it?

When I first heard the song,

I was really worried about how to write the lyrics.

It's a song that conveys very straightforwardly.

It's just the sound that conveys it.

The feelings of the members who have cherished this so much.

I don't have to listen to the story, but I can tell.

I thought I'd write the lyrics about what I cherish the most.

What I want to cherish the most right now is this band.

The activities in this band are the most important things in my life.

If you write about the feelings of the people who were really important to you,

I think you can find emotions that can be made to explode.

That's when I wrote the lyrics.

Of course, I'm writing based on my own experience.

I think there are many people who are separated from their loved ones when they are alive.

And not just people.

Family, dogs, cats,

I think there are many forms of family and important people.

I hope you can remember and listen to it while staying close to them.

The reason I fell in love with music is because

just by listening to it, you can feel the life of that person and it's important.

We've been doing Omura-san's birthday live together for more than 5 years.

We want to spend time with Omura-san.

We always ask Omura-san to write a song.

We asked Ohmura-san to write a song last time.

After that, Ohmura-san told me that he would write a song again.

But before this album was even made,

Ohmura-san suddenly came up with a song.

Ohmura-san said, "I made a song with the image of Gachapin".

I didn't officially order it, so I was wondering what to do.

I'm grateful, but I was wondering what to do.

I thought it was cool, so I wanted to make it.

I told Ohmura-san, I don't know what the album will be like yet.

I don't have a release date yet.

Of course we can play it live without a release,

but I don't know how it will turn out.

I asked Ohmura-san if it's okay.

And he said, "Okay, let's do it".

Since then, Hana has been interacting with Ohmura-san.

If we want to change the arrangement.

We added rap.

We've been working on it.

And the ninth song, Nanmaida.

It's a complicated composition.

Nanmaida is not about Buddha.

Gacharic Spin has a lot of timing that doesn't make sense, no matter how many times you die.

It's a band that has a lot of ups and downs, such as member changes.

It doesn't make sense even if it's disbanded 100 times.

There was a time when it was disbanded hundreds of times.

The members who are there at each time and the staff who are around to tell me what to do, they haven't changed much anymore.

It starts with Koga's slaps.

This song is included in the album, and it feels really cool.

But originally it was a joke song that was all about jumping.

When Hana arranged it, it was really cool.

It's a waste of a joke song.

So we decided to make something cool with the full version and put it in the album.

That's the story behind it.

It was a song that only had you jumping for about a minute and a half.

There was only the chorus.

It's been jumping all the time, but the chorus is really cool.

Wouldn't it be better to make this a song?

When we talked about what to do with A melody and B melody.

Initially it was a bit more of an instrumental without including a melody.

There's a chorus, but the flow of the A and B is instrumental only.

It's not cool that the flow feels like this.

In that sense, it's a bit of a unique position on this album.

But this is the last song on this Gacharic Spin album.

I like the performance part, or the rap part by Angie as a player, but the chorus also has a solid melody.

The Gachapin verse is still there, and we wanted to wrap it up with something that had a solid melody,

so we put in the Reverse Psychology at the end.

The lyrics are interesting, too.

It's a bit of reverse psychology, like you shouldn't do something or you don't have to do it, but it doesn't matter.

If you say no to that, I want to do it.

I feel like I want to move a little on the contrary.

I think there are many ways to look at it.

Even though you think you shouldn't fall in love with someone like that, you end up falling in love with them.

Or you feel like your dreams are no longer here, but you keep chasing them.

Something like that.

Feelings and actions.

If you're conscious, you'll be pulled towards it.
