After making a case that there are essentially only three cuts with a skew (peeling,planing,and point), I take an in-depth view at the third cut: the "point" cut. Although cutting on the long point of a skew is a bit of an odd-ball cut, as long as one takes into consideration its unusual bevel support, it is an easy and useful means of cutting across end grain in spindle work.
