[COSTCO SUBS PRESENTS]
-
[Interview with a new member]
-
Nice to meet you. I'm Violetta.
-
In Japan, I go by "Vivi."
-
I'm 24, and I'm a model and actress.
-
I'm from Russia.
I was raised there in Russia,
-
but my dad's German, so that
makes me half-German, half-Russian.
-
I graduated high school,
then came to Japan.
-
I went to a language school
to learn Japanese,
-
and after nine months, I started
going to a Japanese college.
-
So it's been a total of six years
for me in Japan now.
-
[THE REASON YOU CAME TO JAPAN]
I came because of Bunka Fashion School.
-
[THE REASON YOU CAME TO JAPAN]
I wanted to study fashion.
-
At the time, I knew
nothing at all about Japan.
-
Japan was the most... special choice?
-
I figured I'd learn the most there,
so I chose Japan.
-
My dream changed
at some point, though.
-
It changed from fashion designer
to being an actress.
-
But even back when
I wanted to be the former,
-
I really wanted to go to Hollywood and make
beautiful fashion designs for the famous.
-
But somewhere along the way,
-
instead of wanting
to make fashion for such people,
-
I wanted to be such a person.
-
Up until this point, I was probably
too scared to tell myself that.
-
While I was studying a bunch of things,
I was working on my confidence.
-
Before I turn 30,
I hope to land a good role.
-
Not just a good role, but many.
-
[REASON FOR MOVING TO TERRACE HOUSE]
Recently... my life has been super routine.
-
Work, then home.
Work, then home.
-
All by myself, I was--
Well, I live with my cat,
-
but there were times
where I got lonely.
-
And I didn't have a boyfriend
this whole time.
-
At Terrace House, everyone's... living together.
There's six of them, guys and girls...
-
It may be hard for me, since
I've been living by myself all this time,
-
I've had my own habits.
-
I've gotten by, not having
to worry about anything or anyone.
-
So because of that,
it'd be kind of rough for me at first,
-
but I thought it'd be so much fun.
-
And I could possibly end up
with a boyfriend, too.
-
I've never seen Terrace House before.
-
So I have no idea who I'll be living with.
-
All I can do is to look forward to it.
-
So I really hope there's a hot guy there.
-
I'm so simple-minded, aren't I?
-
[YOUR FAVORITE TYPE]
My type... I don't really have one.
-
Looks-wise or otherwise.
-
But maybe, charismatic? I like someone
who's got self-confidence.
-
Not like narcissistic, or a playboy,
-
but just someone who simply
knows what they want to do,
-
or is really clear about
what they like and don't like,
-
those who are sure of themselves...
I guess that's what I'm most into.
-
So I really like trying new things,
-
like, for example, pottery?
I really want to try that these days.
-
So I really would love someone
to go with me.
-
[RELATIONSHIP HISTORY]
All of my exes have been older than me.
-
5 years older, 8 years older,
and 4 years older.
-
So that makes three.
I just spilled all the beans.
-
"Not casual" would be how
I'd simply describe them.
-
The most recent guy I was interested in
was twenty years older than me.
-
We weren't going out, though.
-
So, this really weird thing happened.
-
So I thought we were going out.
Things were really good between us.
-
So I figured we were already
basically going out!
-
He told me he loved me,
and we were all like...
-
like that.
-
But then, all of a sudden, one day,
-
he told me there was another one like me
in the picture. Another girl.
-
Apparently, he was already in
a relationship with her for the past year.
-
I was like, "You're so rotten!!"
-
I had believed that this was a love
like from Titanic or The Notebook.
-
So I was like, "This can't be happening!"
-
"You're such scum!" That's what I thought
about him and the whole situation.
-
But now I've come back down to reality.
-
[WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU MOVE IN?]
I'm expecting a lot.
-
[WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU MOVE IN?]
I'm really expecting a lot of things.
-
Well, actually, I'm more
just looking forward to things.
-
First of all, I'd like
to get along with everybody.
-
And have a lot of fun days
with everyone.
-
Like, eat out together,
cook meals at the house together,
-
see some movies,
and get really close to everyone.
