Critical Bits Episode 1 trailer (full episode premieres Tuesday 7 PM EST)

- [Joel] And so you guys, y'know,

busted a few jaywalkers,

maybe a few muggings here and there,

and you started to hear about

that there was a string of missing teens in the city

but for some reason

it's not getting a lot of traction.

There's definitely some social media buzz about it,

a bunch of change.org campaigns

that aren't going to do anything are floating around.

- [Shelby] My character's name is Alex Finch,

or Ace.

And I am enthusiastic.

Enthusiasm is my superpower

and that's pretty much it.

- [Joel] And Alex looks over,

she's like "okay, I got this, I got this"

and she steps out of the car

and as soon as you do that

you hear "hey!

"Fuckin' nerd!

"What'd I tell you about coming to the Sonic?"

(laughing)
- I jump back in the car immediately.

- [Shannon] My character is named Kim Bennet,

I used to be a villain

and I'm not anymore.

I saw the error of my ways

really recently! (laughs)

And my ability is ferrokinesis,

the ability to control metal telepathically.

- [Joel] You don't remember

not being a crime orphan.

- [Paul] Gerald is nicknamed "Sad Sack".

A paper bag with a frowny face over his head,

he carries around a sack full of doorknobs

or some other blunt instrument,

as his main powers are emotional control--

Darkness starts to waft over the room,
(laughing)

and everyone starts to feel

a little less happy about what's going on.

And power neutralization.

(distortion)

And shuts you

almost entirely down.
- You're shutting me down?

- [Shelby] Yeah, Brantley kind of sucks,

but he's pretty good at computers.

(laughing)
- I'm sorry, hold on.

"Brantley"?

- [Shelby] Yeah, that's Brantley Finch.

You have to help us with this.

- "Okay."
- Otherwise I'm totally telling mom

that you've been pounding corndogs

for the past six hours

and saying that people on the internet are cucks.

- [Joel] You do know of D.A.Y.C.A.R.E.

It is a organization that is, y'know,

there to deal with at-risk

and dangerous youth.

"That's the thing about ol' Luke Williams,

pulls out a picture,

is like "have you seen this boy?"

- [Paul] Why doesn't that kid's shirt

have any sleeves on it?

(laughing)
- "I dunno,

"looks like his shoulders run hot."

And he goes "alright,

"normally I wouldn't believe you but honestly,

"my best friend growing up was a drug dealer.

"You got a real honest face,

"and just the sound of dimebags

"and pills jingling in your pocket

"just makes me feel real safe.

(laughing)
"Anyways, I'm real scared of spiders,

"if I ever see one I'll, uh,

"I don't why I'm telling you this."
- What's this guy's name?

- [Joel] This is Officer Jenkins.

I mean, nobody really knows

how powers work

or where they come from.

There wasn't like a Powers Ed class--

- [Shannon] Like no birds and the bees talk

but about powers?

- [Joel] Yeah, like "as you get older
