and is applying them to develop assist robots.

Using the robot's motors, it assists with
human body mechanics.

We will continue to develop robots that are
safe and secure

minimizing the risk of human error when
comung in contact with these machines.

Assist Robot For Industrial Use

Our mission is to help create a Power Barrier-less
Society within areas of manual labor

and other workplaces that need to be improved.

We provide robots in these areas when the
workers need assistans.

Devices that reduce the physical strain during
one's work. That is the Power Assist Suit.

Among the variety of power assist devices

we thought it was necessary to create a suit that
assists the specialized movements within lower back.

We saw the need and started the development of an
assist suit that specialized in back support.

This became the AWN-03.

This assistsuit detects the user's
motion in the lowe back

when lifting and holding heavy objects, reducing
stress the user may be experiencing.

The AWN-03 has 3 main features.

The first auto assist mechanism.

The suit automatically senses the user's motion
when lifting and holding objects.

and then sends a signal to the motors to
rotate the machine's gears.

It raises the user's upper body while
pushing on their things

and as result reduces stress on the
user's lower back

doing this without creating any
discomfort when walking.

The AWN-03 is easy to put on, and doesn't require help
or additional accessories when suiting up.

The 3rd feature is the rechargeable battery
which currently lasts up to 8 hours.

When using this devices during loading tasks
the strain on your back will be decreased by 15kg.

This device increases the quality of work life
naturally by decreasing the burden of the weight

This assist suit reduces the strain on my back

especially when I'm lifting heavy objects
from a crouched position.

Because it pulls me back, it is easy to
keep this posture.

The PLN-01, we call this the "Ninja".

This device assists the user's motion of walking and
running, for instance hiking up steep mountain paths.

With power sensors at the soles of your feet and
two motors placed at your lower back

the robot mimics human movement and allows
workers to walk naturally.

We are developing a "Ninja" upper body unit to
lift up and carry Heavy items.

The Power Loader is a suit that has a lot of strenght

It's a device that controls 20 motors using 4 sensors
in your hands and feet.

While this device is large, there are plans to
reduce its size and weight.

We are currently planning for this device to be used
for disaster relif, construction, and public works

Panasonic has been in the nursing business
for over 18 years.

In nursing, they are always looking for ways to
improve the quality of life

both mental and physical for the residents and staff.
We would like to provide the solution.

Panasonic is making its contribution by
supporting the elderly and their families

with their life of leisure and happiness.

There are many issues for both parties
the staff and the residents.

For the staff, moving the residents from a bed
to a wheelchair can be a very difficult task.

It can also cause the residents great discomfort

The Resyone, a combination of a electric nursing
care bed and wheelchair

is a new concept within nursing equpment.

By using this device, it will reduce the strain on
both the caregiver and resident.

We would like to provide this new idea.

With the Resyone, the bed split in half
eliminating unnecessary movement

when moving the resident from the bed to the
wheelchair. Maintaining the residents dignity.

One of the biggest advantages of the Resyone is
allowing residents to move however they would like.

Resyone became the worlds first product to be
certified ISO1382 compliant

the new global safety standart for service robots.

We will begin promoting the Resyone in
hopes of it being used overseas.

Until now, there have been many cases where the
residents relied completely on the robots itself

This was a problem because it lessened opportunities
for the residents to use their own muscles.

leading to faster muscle atrophy.

It sences the delicate movements of the elderly
and predicts the state of the eldery

on the basis of its sensing information.

Therefore, the motors in this robot contribute
the needed amount of power

allowing the residents to make use of their own
remaining muscle strength to stand up.

This robot will assist you to and from the
restroom, chairs etcetera.

Enabling you to do everyday tasks, such as
using the restroom and watching television.

We have the design a soft look.
A friendly design that is stress-free.

We made it compact with great manoeuvrability.

We also made the operating interface
user-friendly for the staff.

A team of experts in robot software technology,
sensor technology, mechanical technology.

Srnsing the physical strength of the resident

it assists by compensating for the
remaining physical strength needed

preventing unnecessary muscle atrophy and strain.

The caretaker will not have to use their own
physical strenght, reducing their strain as well
