-
Welcome everyone!
-
Today is the last day of DebConf 15.
-
I hope you enjoyed it so far.
-
If you haven't, make sure
you enjoy it today.
-
(laughter)
-
So, we've already mentioned this
a couple of times,
-
but just in case you were not there,
-
you need to checkout at 10.
-
If you are leaving day is today,
-
you basically need to check out now.
-
The hostel has some space where you
can put your luggage.
-
So you can leave your luggage and enjoy
the rest of your day,
-
but you need to leave your room by then.
-
Also we've already mentioned
-
we have several ways of giving feedback.
-
We really want your feedback, good or bad.
-
You can edit the wiki and put it there
-
so that everyone can see.
-
You can send it by mail.
-
Only a few people read that mail
-
and then the results will be anonymized.
-
So if you don't want everyone
to see what you think,
-
you can send it by mail.
-
And if you feel like it
was a great conference
-
and you really enjoyed it,
-
there are some post cards for
the Orga team at the front desk
-
where you can leave a
short message saying,
-
"Oh, I really liked it", or whatever.
-
But for the postcards
-
we prefer good feedback.
-
(laughter)
-
There will be a tip jar.
-
Did you bring it?
-
Well it's actually a tip box,
-
but it says tip jar.
-
That's for the hostel,
-
so if you feel like the hostel staff
treated you well
-
and you want to appreciate that,
you can do that.
-
So you can also, if you have money left
-
in your card.
-
This card.
-
If you have money left in your
-
colorful card, you can leave the card
-
and that can also be a tip jar
-
or you can get your money back,
depending on what you want.
-
The tip jar will be outside.
-
There are some attendee T-shirts left
-
that are on sale for 15 Euros.
-
There will also be other swag,
-
like lanyards, water bottles, Bierkrugs,
and USB fans that we gave to some people
-
that you can buy at the front desk.
-
Prices will be there.
-
And if you didn't get an attendee bag
when you checked in
-
because we didn't know exactly how many
people would turn up
-
and for some odd reason, we didn't
give an attendee bag
-
you can get one now
because we have enough.
-
And finally for the cleanup,
-
we will need volunteers for the cleanup.
-
Which will start after dinner.
-
So will do the closing ceremony,
-
then we will have dinner.
-
And after dinner we will do the cleanup.
-
If you feel like you can give a hand,
-
please help out.
-
Okay, for the raffle today,
-
we don't have the actual items here
-
so we will need to write down your
name and address so we can ship it.
-
The first one, we do have something,
-
which is this laptop sleeve.
-
Oh, we actually got the laptop?
Great.
-
(laughter and applause)
-
Okay, so the first item for
today's raffle is
-
sponsored by one of our silver sponsors,
Meinberg, maker of NTP devices.
-
They have agreed to give a Libreboot X200
-
to the winner.
-
And once you- that's it, that's right,
-
bring it up here.
-
(laughter)
-
The winner will get it shipped directly
from the UK.
-
Alright, so let's start this.
-
There are less people today
because some people left.
-
Ina Faye-Lund, are you here?
-
No.
-
(nervous laugh from speaker)
-
Harsh Daftary?
-
Also not here.
-
Ying-Chun Liu?
-
(applause)
-
Okay, so Martin will write down the
people's details so that they can
-
get the things.
-
Now I have to explain the other things.
-
So the other things that we have
-
are some NAS servers, which
are prototypes, so they-
-
(laughter)
-
They may or may not work!
-
But you know you're getting them for free.
-
NAS servers is correct,
-
you can use them as a NAS server,
-
but they are actually products from
a small startup in Hamburg.
-
Their idea was to create these little
boxes that can be your personal cloud.
-
So the experimental platform which we're
giving out three of them today
-
is actually a device that is
designed to be
-
your cloud server that you can have
on your desk.
-
I think it's a very cool project, and
-
they are running Ubuntu, and when
-
they were chatting whether the surprise
is exceptable to people because it might
-
not work properly, it's all free software
and stuff, then I said that,
-
"probably there is no better place than to
give these away right here."
-
(laughter)
-
Alright, so we have three of them,
-
and they will get shipped to you.
-
We don't have them. They will get shipped
to you by the company.
-
So we will need three winners.
-
[inaudible audience member]
-
Yeah yeah. (laughter)
-
(laughter and applause)
-
(Thomas) That's me!
-
(more laughter)
-
The name of the company is Protonet.
-
Protonet.
-
I will show the website again
after the raffle.
-
Nigel.
-
(applause)
-
Eder Marques?
-
He's here!
-
(applause)
-
So I will show the webpage again.
-
So the website is protonet.info.
-
This is actually the device that these
three people are getting.
-
Yeah, it's beta.
-
It's supposed to be little cubes like
this hexagons.
-
That's right, well they still call
them cubes.
-
But actually, there's no casing for the
ones that you get.
-
(laughter)
-
That's great isn't it,
-
so you can choose your own.
-
(laughter)
-
Alright so, that's it for the
morning briefings.
-
In six minutes we have Jacob's talk.
-
If you need to checkout, go run and
checkout now.
