May 10 - The Only School for Me

  • 0:04 - 0:05
    A few years ago,
  • 0:05 - 0:08
    the Seventh-day Adventist school
    in Korat, Thailand,
  • 0:08 - 0:09
    faced a challenge.
  • 0:10 - 0:12
With an increasing number of students,
  • 0:12 - 0:15
    their small, outdated facility
    was bursting at the seams.
  • 0:16 - 0:18
    Classrooms were overcrowded,
  • 0:18 - 0:20
and the need for a new building
    was undeniable.
  • 0:21 - 0:25
    Despite needing an update,
the school still had a positive impact.
  • 0:25 - 0:29
    I like the whole school,
    everything, everything we do here.
  • 0:30 - 0:34
    This school teaches the Bible,
    and I like the Bible.
  • 0:35 - 0:37
    But in their hearts,
    the staff and students
  • 0:37 - 0:39
held on to hope for an improved facility.
  • 0:40 - 0:42
It was through the 13th Sabbath Offering
  • 0:42 - 0:45
    that the school received
    the support it desperately needed.
  • 0:46 - 0:48
    With the funds,
    they built a brand-new facility.
  • 0:48 - 0:50
    Spacious classrooms,
  • 0:50 - 0:51
    modern equipment,
  • 0:51 - 0:52
    and outdoor space
  • 0:52 - 0:55
    now provide a safe
    and nurturing environment for students.
  • 0:56 - 0:58
It's more than just a building.
  • 0:58 - 0:59
    They are growing,
  • 0:59 - 1:02
    not only academically
    but also spiritually.
  • 1:02 - 1:04
I was introduced to the Bible
when I came to this school.
  • 1:04 - 1:10
I think that it's an amazing text
that people should know about more.
  • 1:10 - 1:14
    I think the Bible
is really nice to learn about
  • 1:14 - 1:16
because I love all the Bible stories
  • 1:16 - 1:20
    and the parables Jesus taught
all the disciples and everyone around him.
  • 1:20 - 1:23
    Many of the students
can't imagine attending any other school.
  • 1:23 - 1:26
    I like this school;
    I will never move away.
  • 1:26 - 1:29
I will never go to another school.
  • 1:29 - 1:33
    I think the feeling
that everyone here is your family.
  • 1:34 - 1:36
Because I feel like in this school,
  • 1:36 - 1:39
    even the teachers,
  • 1:40 - 1:42
the people working in the office,
  • 1:42 - 1:44
everyone seems like it's your family,
  • 1:44 - 1:47
and you can really talk to them
  • 1:47 - 1:48
    about your worries and stuff,
  • 1:48 - 1:51
like they are really close with you.
  • 1:51 - 1:53
    I do like the community
    that this place has.
  • 1:53 - 1:55
    It's very nice and friendly.
  • 1:55 - 1:58
This school has impacted entire families.
  • 1:58 - 2:01
    Parents trust their children
    with the teachers and staff.
  • 2:04 - 2:07
    I chose this school
    because Penny is my heart.
  • 2:07 - 2:09
I want the best for my heart.
  • 2:10 - 2:12
    This school provides education,
    provides safety,
  • 2:12 - 2:14
    and provides a wholistic approach.
  • 2:15 - 2:18
    Today, the Seventh-day
    Adventist School in Korat
  • 2:18 - 2:20
is more than just a place of learning.
  • 2:20 - 2:22
    It's a community.
  • 2:22 - 2:24
    Through love, guidance, and faith,
  • 2:25 - 2:28
    this school is reaching hearts
    both young and old.
  • 2:28 - 2:31
The blessing of the 13th Sabbath Offering
  • 2:31 - 2:32
    didn't just build walls.
  • 2:32 - 2:35
It built bridges of faith and connection,
  • 2:35 - 2:37
    bringing students closer to God
  • 2:37 - 2:40
and creating opportunities for the future.
  • 2:40 - 2:46
    Thank you so much, everyone,
for your contribution to our school.
  • 2:46 - 2:49
It makes the difference when we share.
  • 2:50 - 2:52
    To those who gave
    to the 13th Sabbath Offering,
  • 2:52 - 2:54
    we want you to know
  • 2:54 - 2:57
    your generosity has made
    an eternal impact.
  • 2:57 - 2:59
You haven't only helped build a school,
  • 2:59 - 3:01
    you have transformed lives,
  • 3:01 - 3:03
    opened doors of opportunity,
  • 3:03 - 3:07
    and planted seeds of faith
    that will grow for generations.
  • 3:07 - 3:11
    Because of you,
    students in Korat are thriving,
  • 3:11 - 3:14
    and families are being touched
    by God's love.
  • 3:14 - 3:16
From the bottom of our hearts,
  • 3:16 - 3:18
thank you for being part of this mission.
