“The identification of your weakness is a reason to flee from sin and avoid temptation, not an excuse to flirt with sin and invite temptation. That’s what we see in that Scripture, that promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13. When you set your heart on the things above and flee from sin, temptation will come but you will overcome with the help of the Holy Spirit. But if your heart is set on the fleeting treasures and pleasures of this world, and because of that weakness of your flesh, you flirt with sin, temptation will come, and that temptation will overcome you, and your weakness will wound you.”
