us of some verses from The Book of

Matthew chapter 1 that are very relevant

at this time of year for millions of

people of Christians around the world

I'm going to read from Matthew 21 uh

after Miriam Mary is found to be

pregnant by the Holy Spirit and Joseph

doesn't know what to

do and

uh actually from verse 20 the angel

appears to him and says Joseph son of

David do not be afraid to take Mary as

your wife for the child who has been

conceived in her is of the Holy

Spirit she will bear a son and you shall

yahushua for he will save his Yos he

will save his people from their sins now

all of this took place to fulfill what

was

spoken by the Lord through the prophet

in Isaiah chter 7 behold the Virgin

shall be with child and shall bear a

son and they shall call his

name which translated means god with us

Lord I want to pray during this season

when all over the

world many places

it's because of Faith many places it's

just become culture but there's the

scene of the Holy Family and Joseph and

Mary and baby Jesus Yeshua and Emmanuel

and all of the songs and Christmas

Jerusalem we pray Lord for a revelation

Lord that the same Holy Spirit and the

same Angelic presence which spoke to

Joseph and to and to

Miriam will speak to many people

revealing this son this one who is God

With Us

and Lord at the same time we see and we

know and we've watched especially over

the last year that there's war over this

sun just as it says in Revelation

there's the dragon Waiting by by AC in

front of the woman to take and to steal

and to destroy the Son and the

revelation of who he is and the

Revelation that this is a Jewish story

that this took place in Bethlehem

use this especially among our people

uh

for not started continued praying for

things here in the Middle East and on

the Isaiah 19 Highway but especially for

what's happening in Syria and I want us

to do pray into that a little bit more

today um you know when things are

shifting when there's huge breakthroughs

and changes that's the time to pray

that's the time when New Foundations can

be laid new realities can be

established uh in the Middle East in

Syria especially and we we need to pray

there's potential here for both good or

evil okay just reading in the paper this

morning that there are on the just

across the the border from the Kurdish

territories in Turkey there is a massing

of Turkish troops uh getting ready to do

what they did in 2019 which is to uh

attack the Kurdish areas and uh you know

this is an opportunity because things

are are open so it's very and they the

leader of the Kurds is written to to

Donald Trump and said honor your word

you said you would stand with us and you

know big things so let's pray into it we

know of we've heard from some of our

Christian friends about what the

Christians are going through and we want

to pray for them to be strong and bold

it's an opportunity to shine the light

during this time of year so I'm going to

pray and I just open up the microphone

let's continue to pray into it and ask

everybody out there who's going to watch

this to continue to pray Lord we thank

you Lord that every Christ

is an opportunity Lord for shifting for

good or for evil and you call your

people to stand in the Gap Lord to stand

in the Gap and to pray and to intercede

and to speak your word Lord we know what

you your word says in Isaiah 19 Lord

the way from Egypt through Israel and

and to Assyria which is really Iraq but

it goes right through uh Northern Syria

and it's the same route that our Pat

we pray for this strategic area of the

world Lord we ask you to intervene we

ask you to arise oh Lord God and let

your enemies be scattered Lord you've

done this after 50 years of the of the

iron fisted rule of the Assad family

lord it's broken in 10 days and Lord we

pray we pray for the new leadership

there Lord you put this man Abu Muhammad

jolani in in charge there or something

like that Lord we pray for him to be

touched during this season by the spirit

of the Lord Lord that he would be a man

of Peace oh God that he would desire and

speak what he has said Lord that that

there would be a new Syria for all the

peoples with rights and institutions and

stability and that he would look not to

the not to the east not to Iran Lord and

not to the north not to Moscow God but

he would look here that he would look to

the good places places of Peace places

of prosperity erity for his people Lord

that you would establish a a a a country

that is just that is part of the Abraham

Accords Lord that will come into peace

and and prosperity together with Israel

for the Drews On the Border we pray for

the Christians we pray for the Kurds and

all of the other minorities Lord there

is a big Sunni majority Lord and we we

we that's okay it can be their country

Lord but there can be peace and

prosperity for all people we pray for

would hold back any War any evil and

violence that might happen on that

Kurdish border that you would intervene

Syria in Isaiah 19 that you call Assyria

the work of your hands and we say have

your way that Assyria would be the work

pray that every other hand that wants to

medal in this would be taken off no

other fingerprints than yours on Syria

on her Destiny on her calling as a

nation on every people group represented

in Syria that it would be the work of

your hands Beauty Rising Up From the

Ashes glory for your name Yeshua for no

other name but you God that you would be

exalted inyria and Lord we strengthen

they would be like Shadrach mesach and

Abednego that were not far from there in

Babylon and and they chose to say no

God and I pray that for those in the

fire they would see you with them that

you would be the fourth man with them

strengthening them filling them with

faith with courage with hope with the

power and anointing of the Holy Spirit

Syria to build up the

I saw a picture where someone was trying

to pick up a stone to put it on to build

a way but there was there was some

strings there was things that were

preventing from stones to be lift off

the ground to be placed in the right way

path Lord I'm asking Lord that you

remove any

obstacle Lord remove any challenge

remove any sting of death that the enemy

thinks he has over the remnant of Syria

Lord Lord we ask that you will raise

Faith a supernatural Faith Lord we ask

that you will put in them Father Faith

like never before before boldness like

never before hope hope hope like never

before Hope in Yeshua father hope and

fulfillment of the prophecies hope and

fulfillment of the promises hope Lord we

thank you that we have a covenant with a

God that never changes but a God who

proves himself to be right over and over

asking there will be a great harvest

that the P of Syria would cry out even

Lebanon

you know if Lebanon has over its 50 60

years of History was the first part was

basically a puppet of Syria and then

over the last 20 last generation it

became a puppet of hisbah and Iran and

Lord we pray and all the supply and all

of the route all of the the land bridge

from Iran all the way through Syria to

Lebanon Lord we pray for Syria to stand

strong so that Lebanon can be free Lord

that we can see also the same everything

meaning and the power of names over

identity and so the term H Assyria the

name of the country stems from the

Acadian word assur assur which is the

name of the god that they worship and

um this God his characteristics are that

he is um a symbol of or identity

that merges from the Divine and

political Authority he is a God who

watches over Kings and princes and um

helps them in W in war and in battle and

reinforces the legitimacy of the Empire

rulers and their conquest and it also

directly connected to mesop to the

history of Mesopotamia and the leav so

um

Lord um you have a new identity for

Syria Lord um you have the identity that

stems out of the purpose and the call

that you have for Syrian people Lord we

thank you that um you will bring

repentance Lord for calling themselves

under uh the name of this God lord and

uh that you will move the hearts of the

Kings and the princes to to receive your

name Lord instead to receive you as God

instead Lord Lord I ask you today that

you will give a new name to syrians Lord

that you will restore the original

identity and name that you have for them

Lord and that they will no longer be

under the god of assur but that they

will be under the god of Yeshua the

Messiah Lord under Jehovah nii and

Jehovah Rafa and Jehovah um all of all

of you the all of your character and

identity Lord we thank you for a

restoration of identity over Syria and

the Syrian people Lord and we give you

praise that your name will be the only

one that will be praised that they will

understand uh the damage the destruction

the death the the the stolen things

because of of who they have been

worshiping Lord and that they their eyes

will be open and their ears will be open

to hear your voice only and to worship

and to see you only and to focus on and

to make you Lord above everything else

all right hello beloved well

um I want to speak today a little bit

about uh titling my heart is humility

Holiness and

brokenheartedness in the light of sexual

sin among spiritual leaders little tough

subject but it's also I'm thinking about

this uh season if we kind of end up that

way I'll give you a it's going to end up

in a a good way that in speaking of this

week when we think about the conception

of Yeshua in in Miriam that she was the

in some ways the ultimate victory of

sexual pury over sexual sin you usually

don't think about that but that's where

we're going so hold on to that for a

minute so we'll start in um how could we

not Psalm

51 Psalm 51 it's a prayer that we really

ought to be saying every day I try to

sing it to myself

every

day but we'll pick it up Psalm

51:12 a um a pure heart God created me

for those who read Hebrew nist it

doesn't say it says it's in the

imperative form say

create and um a right Spirit Renew on

the inside of me

well you hear the fear of God here do

not cast me away from

you and and do not take your holy spirit

away from me the the fear of

God restore to me the joy of of your

salvation and in a generous Spirit uh uh

support me lift me up we see him

repenting at such a deep

level and David who had killed Goliath

the great hero and then Fallen before

beeva I mean incredible contrast there

and he's so he's so broken and he's

crying out that he recognizes the

Holiness of God that he could lose it he

could lose it all I mean cast me away

from you take your holy Spirit Away From

Me was it's it he's going he's he's

taking us to a depth of of uh of

repentance here that I I don't know that

we find it it's I almost feel that God

allowed him to go through that sin so he

could write this Psalm it's to show us

how to how to get over sin and and

repentance and guilt but then he goes on

toward the end sort of finishing it off

in verse 19 it says

it says and sacrifices of God and from

here I got the title of this message are

a broken spirit and a broken heart and

cast down the Lord will not despise it

and so he's he's looking at this sin

that he did and he's he's just crushed

by it he's crushed by it and um he's

doing that obviously in the light of

he's it's not just kind of a normal

person sinning you know he's doing this

in the light of he recognizes God's

kingdom he recognizes the Holiness on

himself his calling the the kingdom of

God and it's not like he sinned I think

he's say I sinned okay God can like I've

blown it for the kingdom of God he's

he's terrified and he's broken and um

and he realizes here in the middle of

that somehow that this is a good thing

you know we always you know Western

people we always like to have something

up it's got to have a happy ending you

know you got to talk about Joy you don't

want to talk about Holiness or humility

so sorry if you don't like this message

but it's from the Bible and uh so but

he's saying well this is a good thing

Lord I you've you've taken me to a place

that I'm so aware of my own

inability to overcome my own flesh and

my own sin and he comes he just goes to

a zero place and somehow in the midst of

it he says wow this is I can feel as

broken as I am you're you're pleased

with the sacrifice it's almost like

you've been waiting hey was was some

human being realize how sinful you are

come on repent show me where you're at

and and somehow in the midst of his own

fear of God I could be Cast Away From

God I could be destroying the kingdom of

God he says well God's pleased with this

place of loneliness and Brokenness that

I've come to and I'm giving it to you

God in in the in uh as a as a way of

worship there's a purity a sweetness

coming out of his

Brokenness notice of course the first

the first verse up on it and it says

this is a Psalm of David

says he says and this is when Nathan

came to him the the prophet after he had

gone into bcha in other words this is

his repenting in the light of being

rebuked for having sinned with bcha now

B the bcha sin was a a pretty difficult

sin because it was it he he committed

adultery and then he lied about it and

then he committed murder to try to get

the evidence away from him I mean pretty

bad stuff you know this was not like

just missed the Holiness of God he he he

sinned on the the some of the big ones

you know and uh and he's shocked and

he's aware of the fact that it's not

just he did that but he did it he was

the king of Israel God made an eternal

Covenant with him he said you are the

Messiah the Messiah the Savior the whole

world salvation is going to come through

your seed and he just realized that I

may have just blown the whole Promises

of God by committing adultery I've

ruined the promises of the coming of the

Messiah I mean he's he's

stunned well I'm saying that in the

light

of this year has been a difficult year

for us there's been cases of allegations

of sexual sin against leaders across the

world not one not two not three not four

not five and

unfortunately a lot of the situations

seem to get to me somehow but but I uh

um and they're

complicated because what happens in a

situation like this you have you have an

event that happens usually happens when

nobody's there so who's who evidence you

you have the the emotional response is

the exactly opposite usually between men

and the women and then if you are

talking about spiritual leaders you have

an imbalance of emotional

psychological positioning with it that

becomes abusive whether the person meant

for it to be abusive and then you have

allegations and then what can get proved

and then what cannot get proved and then

it's whoa it is so

complicated I mean I've had to spend

hundreds of hours this year dealing with

these

situations and none of them are very

nice and everybody's hurt everybody's

hurt on all the sides it's it's it's

kind of like I mean this in a spiritual

way it's disgusting I mean it's like we

all just want to vomit it up in in in I

mean in a right way God's God's dealing

with this and you

realize God is not embarrassed about

these kind of things we're embarrassed

but God is like hey you want to sin and

remember what happened to David that he

God said will you sin in in

private I'm going to display it in

public so his son Rebels against him and

he commits adultery for all of David's

wives and concubines on the roof in

front of everybody puts it on the front

page of the newspaper I mean it's just

like it's it's horrible and God somehow

in God's holiness

he he desires to have these things

displayed it's totally humiliating for

us human beings to be involved in this

but it's but it's God is so interested

in in displaying the wrongness of sin

that he wants to get this things all

these things out and it's very hard to

work with you know now we um with with

tiun our ministration we put a lot of

emphasis on you know my book Covenant

relationships Dan's book due process

we're really into wanting to hand these

all these situations correctly and

that's what takes the hundreds of hours

because you got to you got to listen to

everybody's side and you got to try to

weigh it objectively it's almost

impossible because the the situation is

so emotionally Laden they try to get to

it but I want to

say with all of our good intentions of

due process and covenantal

relationships and all these right forms

of dealing something I'm saying this as

the president of tun

Global no process is going to

work it doesn't matter how good your

processes are you have to deal with sin

you know and there's something about

this and I've heard I'm part of like I

said so many conversations on this

person's right this person's wrong and

you know what we all just have to be

brokenhearted about this situation we

just have to cry we have to it it's we

have to Humble ourselves we have to

realize that we're we're not holy and

we're standing before a holy

God and and okay we have to listen this

person listen this person who's right

how much punishment how much do what how

do we comfort those how do we heal

everybody's everybody's hurt everybody's

broken but I'm saying in addition to all

our right processing which I believe in

I believe in Covenant relationship and

and judicial process and the right hand

but in all of that that's not going to

work if you don't have a

brokenheartedness you hear what I'm

saying you can get through the right

process and you'll never get to the end

and on a different issue everybody's

talking here about in Israel we want to

have a um

uh uh a governmental uh investigation of

what went wrong a year and a half ago at

the beginning of the war the problem is

that everybody in a country is already

prejudged as to what side they're on you

can't you could never possibly get to an

objective Council here who's going to do

the investigation everybody's screaming

and yelling at everybody and I'm saying

we have to get to the point whether

you're talking about the war here in

Israel or judicial process of sin in the

church is just you have to get to the

point you know what we're all wrong

we're all wrong stop in in these

situations there's no there's no reason

to come well I'm more righteous than you

are would okay and it it's heartbreaking

and so in the C this is not just a regul

you're talking about a sin with David

who is the head of the Community of

Faith in his

generation it's

terrifying it's

terrifying and look at what he's say I

said to myself go Asha what is there

something you missed here you know did I

miss have I missed anything about myself

it's interesting it says in Ephesians 4

that lust of this world um are they are

deceptive it's like you're involved in L

you don't even realizing you're

deceiving yourself while you're involved

in the lust it's it's aaz you don't even

see that it's wrong you you're

justifying yourself while it's

happening you I ask myself God got have

I done it what you know David said you

know don't let any of my sins be you

know hidden show them up I was pray I

was thinking of a situation 40 years ago

I was serving kind of in a youth pastor

situation I gave this girl a hug

everybody was hugging gave this girl a

hug you know and it got a sensual hug

you know and I'm thinking the Lord

brought that back to my mind I said you

know well I can excuse it dismiss it no

no it was disgusting there's no there's

no way you can justify anything you know

you just have to realize that we're

living in a sinful world and we have to

get away from it let's look at another

example look with me in uh Ezra chapter

9 remember Ezra and Nehemiah are kind of

the last two historical books of the

Bible Nehemiah is actually after isra

the Book of Esther actually comes first

the the situation with Esther happened

before Ezra and that happened before

Nehemiah but this is one of the last

last books of the Bible it's an

incredible situation God has returned

the people of Israel from Exile they're

coming back to Jerusalem they're

rebuilding the altar they're giving

worship there I mean it's an incredible

Victorious moment of the restoration of

God it's just wonderful I mean you can

almost learn everything about Apostolic

Ministry from the book of Ezra and

Nehemiah it's it's so wonderful and the

last two chapters did you notice that

the last two chapters of the book of

isra are all dedicated to repenting of

sexual sin on behalf of the leadership

well I miss that what was that in the

Bible let's look at Ezra chapter n what

happens in now in their day the the sin

was they the they they married the the

Canaanite women now this was before the

time of Yeshua had they had they had

seed with the Canaanite women they would

have ruined the promise of the coming of

the Holy seed of Yeshua and would have

basically damned all of the human race

for eternity without they would have

ruined the ability for Yeshua to come

God would have had to wipe us all out

again like he didn't know but but in

this case but so I'm not going to deal

with the fact that they married that

that situation doesn't apply really to

anybody here today but it still was a a

type of sexual sin so we're looking at

and um so let's look at we're in Ezra

9

in chap chapter 9 verse two and said

second half of the verse so that the

holy seed is mixed with the people of

the lands and then he says indeed the

hand of the leaders and the rulers have

been uppermost in this

sin

yo wasn't just the sin of the people

every was him but he said you know he

said the leaders have been even

worse yo and then and then how does

react or I'm saying somebody who's

leaving a judicial process to help solve

and deal with all these situations and

we're into that you know said so I heard

this thing I tore my garment in my robed

and plucked out some of my hair from my

head and my beard I sat down astonished

and everyone who was trembled at the

words of the god of Israel assembled to

me because of the transgression of those

who have been carried away captive and I

stand astonished and he goes on and on

just repenting and he says he says he

goes on to say I'm uh we

are this is humiliating it's humiliating

for the whole people of God he said I'm

ashamed God we're in a generation where

you're miraculously storing the

restoring the people of God you're

rebuilding the altar you I mean we're

living in that generation we're living

in the generation of the restoration of

Israel Jerusalem Israel becoming a the

lead nation in the Middle East the the

the Messianic Remnant I mean we have

over a 100 congregations in Israel today

maybe 200 of them if you count the house

congregations and we have it's this is a

time of incredible Victory and right in

the middle of that we have sin in the

camp it's it's it's humili I mean you

don't that's you said what can I say I'm

just going to rip out my beer rip out my

hair I'd rip out my hair if I had any

left but but we have um but it's it's

just you see him reacting now after he

does that then he goes into this long

the all basically all of chapter 10 the

last chapter is him making a judicial

process so I'm not against judicial

we're doing you have to do that that's

the right thing to do he said now we're

going to set up we're going to interview

each person we're going to come through

this and we're going to we're going to

check it we got to hear the evidence

because remember um Nicodemus said he

said how can you have righteousness if

you don't hear both sides of the story

whenever you hear one side of the story

it doesn't matter what the allegations

are on this side or this side if you've

only heard one side of the story you're

wrong you be before you start you've got

the process you got to hear both sides

you got to compare them you got to work

it out and he says no we're going to do

all that the people said yeah I don't

we're praying first of all we tear our

heart we tear our garments and then we

go through this process we've got to go

through this process to work in these

said they said it's going to take some

time for us to hear everybody work

person by person name by name this every

situation make a decision make a

judgment you have to do that and all I'm

saying and we for who so dedicate

ourselves to do that all I'm saying if

we go right to that and skip over the

part of tearing our heart and tearing

our garments and saying oh my God what's

happened this is humiliating

and people are hurt people are hurt on

all

sides it's interesting I noticed that

that when he did this they said in ver

in chapter 10 he said it was the 20th

day of the 9th

month and he did he said and three days

from now it'll be the 20th so he did

this three days before the 20th day of

the 9th month which is in the Hebrew

calendar

today amazing huh this 3 days before the

20th would be the shabat this is the

three days it's the ninth month of it

been so I was read that I just felt like

the the anointing of this the revelation

of this chapter we're living it you know

not just the date but you know what I'm

saying I'm just realizing we he there's

both the part of the broken heartedness

tearing our hearts and then there's the

part of the judicial process you have to

do both and you know but um but what

happens is because everybody's

scrambling because of the allegations

and people are hurt on all different

sides people are trying to you know what

I'm saying kind of justify themselves we

haven't even gotten to the point we all

need to just stop and start crying and

just humble ourselves and say got a

little humility Holiness and and a

brokenheartedness to be in the right

process is wherever it goes people say

to me what do you think about this

situation this situation I'm talking

about whole bunch of famous situations

and and I say I I purposely don't have

an opinion because I'm trying to serve

the process of trying to be trying to be

humble and objective and we we we're

hurting for everybody and and people

have been wounded you know I just want

to say um one more thing about the story

of of

um uh David and but sha I used to say

that uh was the only passage in the

Bible my wife and I don't agree about

you know

as a man I read I said can you believe

that girl taking off her clothes in the

front of the king's window how could she

do that my wife said are what are you

talking about I should have got the king

came up and you know abducted her what

are you talking about so and I realized

that um maybe there's a little truth on

both sides but Betty was more right than

me because when you look at after it

God's judgment comes more on him than it

was on her you know so it's it's so he

was more responsible you know she well

she flirted well okay but you're the

king you know you have to you have to

deal with it so it's a it's a

heartbreaking situation and in the

history of

Israel the the the sin repeated itself

over and over and over and over and over

again and it caused the murder and

adultery and it just it seemed to

destroy the kingdom of God every time

the kingdom of God would come to a high

point it would get destroyed by these

things it's a heartbreaking chain of

events for that to happen now um let's

skip over all that for a moment I want

and let's let's come up to the um the

story of the conception of our beloved

Messiah who is the son of

David the great great great great

grandson of David look what it says here

this was the angle I mean there's so

many good things to speak about the

conception of the Messiah but uh here is

one that just jumped out at me was Luke

chap

1:35 of course I read this all the time

I just kind of went over it but notice

the word holy is in this verse

twice it says Luke 1:35 and it says and

the angel answered this is Gabriel comes

to me said it's said you know Miriam is

there and she says to him well how how

am I going to be with child I mean I'm

I'm a virgin you know and you know when

if she's coming from an ultra Orthodox

Jewish background she probably was she

may have never even talked to a man

before she never touched a man she never

been in the same room with a man before

I mean what what are you talking about

you know and the angel answered and said

to her the holy spirit will come upon

you and the power of the most high will

overshadow you and therefore the holy

thing which will be born in you shall be

called The Son of God here's a different

angle that I want us to look at this is

they she is the great great great great

granddaughter and Joseph is also the

great grand grandson basically of of

David

biva and we're talking about what how

many generations it is 14 by 14

Generations coming up till you get to

them of

generations of of sexual sin that has

been doing huge damage to the kingdom of

God and she

wins she wins she breaks the curse and

she says look I've kept myself holy and

you can see it and you can try to get

the purpose of she says look I'm the I'm

the great great and if we understand it

correctly on her mom's side she was from

the the tribe of the Cohen family and

and the father's side from David and

probably from Joseph was on David

David's family so she says she said I'm

like the I'm the great great great

granddaughter of of the of the Kings and

the priests of our people and I have

determined that I am going to keep

myself holy in this perverted generation

and she's looking back at that angel and

she's like saying I mean you know I'm

not taking any of this promise from you

you know I'm I'm watching out for my

Holiness I don't need your promise I'm

watching out for my Holiness you could

almost feel him smiling yeah you

know yeah you w you w

girl now I don't believe Mary was born

of an Immaculate Conception that's not

what I'm talking about I'm talking about

a plain old Jewish Israeli girl here

that fought against all the forces of

sexual immorality and stood before

angels and the force of Heaven and Hell

and said I'm going to maintain my Purity

he says yes and the holy spirit's going

to come upon you and the child that will

born will be born of you will be holy

because you have maintained yourself

holy and this this holy child is going

to come and save the universe and it's

probably because of you dear

Miriam this is the great great great

great granddaughter of

Betha he said I won you

won and and Joseph being the great great

great grandson of David also saying well

what am I supposed to do here and he

says well just you know get married get

betro while you're betro we'll have the

child born and then you can get married

and then it'll be it'll all work out

well but

what a victory the the victory of the

conception of the Messiah is the victory

of a people walking in Holiness

overcoming the carnality and the

sinfulness of the world around him wow

what an encouraging thing what a way to

look at this story look at this in the

light of Holiness and victory fol this

is good news good news but despite us

messiness up all over the place

Hallelujah Yeshua is a holy child

conceived in Holiness by the way you

know there was as I can tell there's

nothing miraculous about his birth he

had a regular birth the miracle was the

conception that was when the miracle

that's why we believe this holiday was

not his birth but actually the

conception but that's when the light

came into the world and she received it

as a holy vessel the Holy Light came

into her cuz she maintained herself

maintained herself holy what a victory

and she and you got is she she went the

rest of her life being mocked at by

everybody in her

City yeah Virgin

Mary you know they looked at her her

reputation was a girl that had said got

pregnant outside of marriage you know

and she kept her Holiness in the light

of all that an amazing thing all right

one last thing I want to share and that

has a relationship our relationship to

the world and both John and James speak

of not loving or not being a friend of

the world it's in 1 John 2 and then

James 4 let's look at one of them let's

look in the uh in James

4

um I think it may be a little more

relevant for although it's the same part

Point James

4 verse

4 he says um you adulterers and

adulteresses do you not know that

friendship with the world is is enmity

with God whoever therefore would be a

friend of the world is an enemy of

God that's a pretty tough verse the

verse in 1 John 2 which says something

similar is but it says a little

different in verse in 1 John 2 it says

don't love the world we know a little

bit everybody knows a Greek to know that

love is agape so it says don't Agape the

world the world out there but in but in

in James he says don't a friend to it

which is the filo so he's saying in and

and so I was thinking for most of us I'm

I'm I'm using the James one because I'm

saying most of us we don't love the

world I don't love the things of the

world you love the things of the world I

don't I don't desire them love them but

there's a part of us you know what I'd

like to be friends a little bit you know

I mean I want to be have friends I want

to be part of what's going on you kind

of want to be friends with human society

you want to be you know I'd like to hang

out with the with the synagogue in my my

neighborhood but I've been kicked out

more synagogues than you've ever ever

been to you know I'd like to be friends

with the the Israelis around us but but

you know we what are you going to do you

know I'd like to watch a TV show every

now and then you get about two minutes

and then you got to turn off the TV you

can't watch it it's all it's I don't

love it but I'm confessing you know what

I'm saying I don't love it but I'd like

to at least be friends a little bit he

says no no no no no no you want to be

friends with this world you're an enemy

of God oh no I'm sorry Lord you know and

what so it comes to the place where we

have to realize if all this is true that

that we just we can't be friends with

this world we're you have to live as

kind of a reject you know it's not going

to work out you can be nice you can

smile at everybody and you can have

grace and favor that doesn't mean you

want to have grace and favor people will

appreciate us because they see us

walking with the Lord but it we can't be

buddies with him you know and uh I'm I'm

working on that one I really I have no

love for the world I have no TI for but

I kind of would like to you know just be

friends with I'm want to be friendly

people you know but it doesn't that

doesn't work out you know you can show

them love you can show people you can be

friends to them but you can't be

friendly with them you know and it's

it's a different thing you know I'm not

saying don't be friendly don't be loving

we we pour the love and friendship of

Yeshua to the people around us but we

can't go down to try to be accepted on

in what they're doing and we can't be

with them on that level as Yeshua you

got to be in the world but not of the

same spirit and and you know that I'm

just confessing that that's a little

it's a little because there's something

about it we're people of love we want to

have friend we want to be friends with

the people around you it doesn't work so

um looking this and and I'm I'm also

thinking of the the the the sexual sins

that have been part of the the body not

just in the leaders but in in

everyone it you know the people that I

know they there wasn't people that were

looking for sin it wasn't that kind of

things it was just that we live

particularly the western church it's

kind of like we're Believers but we're

also just friendly with the world you

know it's kind of like we're cool we're

hip we're gone all it doesn't work the

people weren't looking to sin you know

they were but we were trying to be

friendly with the world and when you're

doing that you don't realize it you're

slowly getting stuck in in the honey and

the mud and you're getting and you don't

realize it and you're get and then all

of a sudden then you say what happened

and I realized that we we have to have

another step of just really coming to a

deep understanding that we can't be

friends with the values that are in the

world and we in Israel for instance if

we go toward the 90% of the Orthodox

Jewish World

they hate Jesus even though they don't

know who he is but I'm saying and we

can't be Messianic Jews in it and the

world the rest of Israeli Society is

saturated in sexual sin and Rebellion

because we we got to walk in a holy Lane

in between that and and love everybody

around us and be a witness you know what

I'm saying but we have to wake up that

that we we can't relax in that

environment and um so that's it I just

want to

um pray and let me just go over those

points again we have to have a deep

brokenheartedness Holiness and the fear

of God and humility when we look at the

sexual sins around us on whatever the

sides are particularly realizing how

damaging that could be when those of us

and all of you were all being trained

for leadership there's nobody that's a

Believer that's not being trained for

leadership you got to realize the more

you're trained in leadership the more

prices it's going to have the more bad

effects it's going to have and it's come

to ruin the kingdom of God all this time

but thank

God Joseph and Mary and the people in

their generation overcome that she beat

the World by saying pure and then when

she gave Yeshua to the world then Yeshua

is the light he is the he is the Holy

One she's not the Holy One she just

maintained her her sexual period but

he's the Holy One and he's coming we

have Holiness that comes from him and

the and the the story of of Christmas of

the conception of Yeshua is also part of

the victory of the Holiness of God over

the sinfulness of this world hallelujah

hallelujah but we have to watch out not

to just try to be friendly on the same

level as the world around us and I was

just uh want to pray I just want to also

pray for this generation the younger

generation Believers or not Believers as

I've been tell we've been talking about

this with our family members with their

the the age of our children and

grandchildren already that that that

they've been come become totally um I'm

not trying to overstate something but

dysfunctional in the ability of any kind

of interpersonal relationship they they

nobody can figure out to get married

because the young boys and girls today

can't even talk to one another they

don't even know what to do so well let's

just get a dog you know I mean just it's

just it's a it's a difficult world

because the the generations of this

sinfulness and worldliness has caused a

dysfunction not only in not only in

gender confusion but just in the men and

women don't know how to talk to one

they're afraid to get married they're

afraid to have children they're afraid

to it's nothing the the whole thing is

falling apart but not with us when need

to pray for the Holiness of God that can

result in healthy normal relationships

what are you trying to be super holy go

I'm trying to see if we can have some

normal relationships Hallelujah and

um okay these were some heavy things so

let's just pray Lord God just pray with

me

and Heavenly Father we ask

you for humility for Holiness and for

brokenheartedness in the light of the

worldliness around us Lord

God and I realize Lord that none of us

has walked through this pure there's

none of us that haven't been affected

one way or another no way we're not

pointing fingers at everybody Lord we're

just saying I we all of us L we just

need to as Ezra did

just tear his shirt tear his heart pull

out his beard pull out his ha just hey

God lord we are humiliated and humbled

before you we're more than humbled Lord

we're

humiliated but God we thank you that

somehow in your sight that's a good

sacrifice you like that you say hey you

got the point Lord we just thank you

that we would not be afraid as the

Community of Faith to Humble

ourselves to admit we've all blown it

and we all just have to have a a broken

heart and give it to you in this season

when we talk about this holy child being

conceived Lord I ask you for right now

in this week 10 days during hanuka

lighting the light of hanuka and talking

about the conception of the of the holy

Child Lord that we would just let that

Holiness touch

us and that we could just have the Heart

of Mary and Joseph that we can just walk

in Holiness in this world because that

holy child is in our hearts we don't

have to be pregnant we just have to have

him in our hearts and we thank you for

Lord that we are walking and above all

Lord I'm so sorry God that we have

embarrassed your name in front of the

world oh

God B enough

Lord that we would embarrass ourselves

but Lord we've caused embarrassment to

your name thank you God in all your

Holiness and your power we tremble in

fear at your word but Lord we also know

that your grace is there to forgive us

to heal us to heal all the people that

have been hurt on all the different

sides Lord all the people that have been

victims all the people that have been

defiled all the people that have been

Lord we just pray for your Holiness to

come and cleanse us and heal

us and humble us restore us that we can

Worship You from this heart of Holiness

and humility brokenheartedness

that you can restore unto us the joy of

our Salvation Lord don't take your holy

spirit away from us don't cast us away

Lord but restore us Lift us up with A

Generous Heart Lord restore unto us the

joy of our salvation and the Holiness of

this season in yeshua's

name

um I just happened to be hearing the um

testimony of Carl Lance you know the

founder of Hill songs in the past three

days and the title was the Scandal the

restoration to Holiness and um and the

the resilience that came out of it and

actually uh I I just want to quickly

like what really spoke to me and touched

me was he said that uh he thought that

he sinned because of the insecurities of

his wife but then he realized through

the counseling and discipleship that it

was his own insecurities and that they

came because of the wounds of the child

where mother and father didn't take

their positions and I was thinking of

Mary as you were talking and I think

mothers and fathers back then were so

much more firm and um and bold into what

they were giving as an example to their

children while we have a broken

generation of mothers and fathers today

that um don't know you know like how to

give that image and likeness of God into

our lives they're so broken

themselves I think that's a good point

it's not just individual sin we're

dealing with a two generations that have

become dysfunctional in this whole area

wow I really thank you

Asher really for putting yourself making

yourself vulnerable

um I'm just thinking of

Joseph you know he

fled he

fled Joseph in the Old Testament yeah he

fled you know and it it it says that in

First Corinthians it says

flee sexual

immorality and it also says you know do

you not know that your bodies are

members

of the Messiah if we could only

just be awakened to that how close it is

when when we cross over those lines how

how it's that

close uh I can't help but think that

it's some of this has to do with our

consciences that we somehow need a a

conscience

Awakening um because I think some people

could listen to this message and it not

even phas them you know sometimes I go

into the the kilot and I'm just being

honest here um I'm wondering why I don't

feel that I feel something of the Holy

Spirit but that fear that you're talking

about that Holiness that thick um holy

presence of God where you you know your

heart is deeply touched and broken and

I'm aware that there are people in the

body there that I know

personally that have not dealt with some

issues and I don't I don't know but I

love the conviction of God I feel like

he loves me when he convicts me I feel

like he's paying attention to

me and when I don't have that I get

scared say where are

you where are you I need you I need you

I can't do it myself you know how can we

do it ourselves we've got to have that

from him so I I don't know I I think we

need a conscience

Awakening so that somehow that

conviction will come back it's not

condemnation that leads to death it's

conviction that leads to life and it's

beautiful and it's clean and the word of

God says that the fear of God is clean

it's something clean and beautiful so

you it's interesting it says in uh 2

Timothy 2:22 it says flee youthful lust

and I just realized that he was in his

mind he was referencing Joseph in Egypt

you know and he was saying as Joseph ran

away from P for's wife you just have to

get away from the lust of this world you

know and flee and flee the lust of this

world and it's kind of a an application

for us as Believers all right more yeah

and the holy spirit is called the Holy

Spirit not not for

if no if there's someone else is there

we got to really we're really overtime

here and I wanted to just say Asher also

that um just for some folks out there

who

may possibly misunderstand something uh

were you're saying as you talked about

Psalm 51 that to get to that beautiful

place of intimacy and Brokenness that

David came to did you have to sin

big no you have to read Psalm 51 so you

okay learn it the easy way or learn it

the hard way you right yeah as part you

know this is what in Romans they accuse

the Apostle Paul in his Gospel of being

of that he was saying something people

perverting it to saying that if you

really want to experience the fullness

of God's grace then the then it's good

to sin because then you oh he forgives

me and he all this kind of stuff he said

in Romans 6 he says that is should we

continue in sin so that Grace might

abound no way don't if that's what

you're thinking or even that that

beginning of that thought no no no

that's not the right you're you're

getting way of yeah no I um it's crazy

to think that's how some people actually

thought and even think today sometimes

it you get in your head that you know

you've got to do something radical and

crazy to experience God that's another

version of it no you just have to submit

and cry out okay we are going to yeah

thank you everybody and uh pray uh for

uh my family and some other people so
