August 9 - Dr. Moskala’s Lifelong Calling

  • 0:04 - 0:09
Every year, one man boards a plane
with a suitcase full of supplies
  • 0:09 - 0:11
and a heart full of purpose.
  • 0:12 - 0:13
    His destination?
  • 0:13 - 0:16
A city that changed his life
  • 0:16 - 0:18
and where his mission still lives on.
  • 0:19 - 0:22
    Dr. Milan Moskala
    first came to Bangladesh
  • 0:22 - 0:25
    as a missionary dentist
    more than 25 years ago.
  • 0:26 - 0:31
But God had planted a seed in his heart
long before he ever stepped foot here.
  • 0:31 - 0:35
    I discovered God called me
    to be medical missionary.
  • 0:36 - 0:38
    I am thankful very much.
  • 0:38 - 0:41
    Always I thank the Lord,
    I am so grateful
  • 0:41 - 0:44
    that you chose me
    to be a medical missionary.
  • 0:44 - 0:45
    Over the years,
  • 0:45 - 0:47
    Dr. Moskala built a ministry
  • 0:47 - 0:51
    that reached far beyond
the walls of his dental clinic.
  • 0:51 - 0:53
    He treated patients
    with compassion,
  • 0:53 - 0:56
    started schools
    in under served communities,
  • 0:57 - 1:01
    and launched nutrition programs
to help children grow strong and healthy.
  • 1:02 - 1:04
He also organized a sponsorship network
  • 1:04 - 1:06
that gave thousands of young people
  • 1:06 - 1:11
    access to Adventist education
and a new vision for their future.
  • 1:11 - 1:16
What started with caring for physical
needs quickly grew into something more,
  • 1:17 - 1:20
a life of service, compassion, and faith.
  • 1:21 - 1:23
Though now retired for 10 years,
  • 1:23 - 1:27
    Dr. Moskala returns to Bangladesh
    every year to reconnect,
  • 1:28 - 1:32
to support, and to keep building on
the mission he started years ago.
  • 1:32 - 1:35
He continues to mentor local leaders,
  • 1:35 - 1:39
    visit students, and walk through
    the neighborhoods praying with families,
  • 1:40 - 1:41
    encouraging the sick,
  • 1:41 - 1:44
and sharing hope one home at a time.
  • 1:45 - 1:49
    For him, retirement simply
means having more time to serve.
  • 1:50 - 1:55
I am so thankful that until today,
    I can serve Him
  • 1:55 - 1:57
even though I am now retired.
  • 1:57 - 2:01
He is guiding me forward, day by day.
  • 2:01 - 2:06
I do not want to do nothing more,
    nothing less than medical mission.
  • 2:07 - 2:09
    Because of your giving
    to the Mission Offering,
  • 2:10 - 2:15
missionaries like Dr. Moskala can serve
in places where they are needed most.
  • 2:16 - 2:17
    Thank you for giving.
  • 2:18 - 2:21
Your support makes stories like this
    possible
  • 2:22 - 2:24
in Bangladesh and around the world.
  • 2:25 - 2:31
I am so thankful that God chose me
and called me to be a missionary.
