Description:: Nixiwaka Yawanawa is from Brazil. His village is in the state of Acre, in the western Brazilian Amazon. The name Yawanawá translates as "The People of the Wild Boar." Nixiwaka share with us his fight to preserve his indigenous culture through Survival International for whom he worked for two years. "This world is a beautiful place to live in, (and) each one of us on earth has a responsibility to take care of it." Nixiwaka calls us to protect the rainforest and its people and invite us to discover more about them and their powerful medicinal plants by visiting them in the rainforest.
