Minecraft Pokémon :: Part 1 :: The Evolution of Charmander!

OK, well, I guess we're not gonna catch Gastly

How's it going everyone, Welcome to a very, very special video

Today I'm showcasing something you're going to love

This is someting I think is going to be huge

Especially if you're a fan of Pokémon

Or even just a fan of Pokémon GO

A buddy of mine, Samasarus Six, has introduced me

to something that I think you guys are going to love

I, first of all, love it.

Like, I'm not a huge Pokémon fan.

But it's something that I do connect to in some sort of way

So let's go ahead and zoom out here

and just show you what in the world is surrounding me.

And, Im holding a Pokéball first of all

lemme just start by slowing down, so this is a server

that is essentially a...

Pokemon game

it's just like Pixelmon

but in vanilla, and in my opinion, a little bit better

so with the work of custom models

custom texturing, and just custom everything

a couple people have been able to put together

the coolest project I've seen to date

so let's go ahead and kinda get started here

I mean, this server has everything

when you start, you actually

you know, meet a professor

and get to choose a Pokemon

in this case, I chose Charmander

so if I just walk over here

and you can kinda see down here, my inventory

I've got Charmander at level five

I can actually place him down

and then I've got a charmander

system z charmander

and, there's actually custom models

like, look at this guy, he's adorable

hey look there's a Pokemon over there

which is perfect

come on and get back in the ball, friend

we can go ahead and do that

if we run over here

we can actually battle this Du-do, or Doduo?

that's it, Doduo

which is a level six

now I don't really care too much

about this Pokemon

but we can at least battle it

so you can see now I can choose

like, a specific thing to battle with

so, I'm gonna use scratch first of all

and you can see a health bar over on this Pokemon

so, once it uses my attack

uh, you can see a little bit of health went down!

now I can choose another

it's just like, you know, the standard Pokemon

how it always has worked

and what I'm gonna do is

try and get its health down just a little bit more

so let's kinda continue here

now, just like with every Pokemon game

I'm gonna spam one attack

and my Charmander's actually almost dead

which is a good thing

because it's gonna allow me to show you guys something

but now let's escape from that

and I'm gonna throw a Pokeball

and now, just like any Pokemon game

you'll see it kinda hopping around

and that third one is the best - (poof noise)

boom! and that means we just caught

that Pokemon

I now have the Doduo

the Charmander's kinda put out because

his health is pretty much gone, but

I now have a new Pokemon

and I can actually run around and

place that Pokemon down

it's just like Pokemon

now, I was a bit skeptic at first

or, well, skeptical, at first

just because it seems like it's such a stretch

y'know, it seems like something

that's going to be really hard to replicate

in Minecraft

I mean, Minecraft only has

it can only really go so far

there's certain limitations that you can't get around

but, to be honest, they've done

a really really good job

at avoiding any complications

let me go ahead and just kinda...deal with this

so I'm at the Pokemon Center now

we can, uh, we can restore our Pokemon

so you can see, we have two Pokemon there

they're being healed up

of course, I have two Pokemon, as you guys know

and now, Charmander's all the way back to normal

and there's Pokedexes

there's all kinds of cool stuff

I'm gonna put these running shoes on

which allow me to run really fast

but on top of that, just aside from the

ability to play Pokemon

and I'm not gonna get this Lickitongue yet

but aside from the ability to play, y'know, Pokemon

the builds, like you know, the actual server

the scenery is on point, in my opinion

they've done a really, really nice job

at making a world that's playable

and then, of course, there's huge maps

like, look at this, ahah

this is insane, if you ask me

oh, and this is one of the coolest parts

so, you might recognize this right here

this is a Pokestop, if I run up to it

I actually get more items

in this case, I didn't get much

but I might get a little more Pokeballs

if I run over here to this one

and they actually do reset

after a certain amount of time

so there we go, we've got a Great Ball

which is awesome.

So, now we can literally run around

and just go catch Pokemon and battle

and you can battle other players, too

and there's levels, it's crazy

now, there are some pretty big names

who have helped fund this project

I'm pretty sure Ally-A is one of them

for example, this is a very big server

this isn't something that's just been sloshed

to the side to be created

it's definitely something that's had a lot of

time and, you know, effort thrown into

oh, Cubone!

this is one of my favorite Pokemon

come on, let's uh, let's battle this guy
