    Mizaan- Javed Ahmad Ghamidi
  • Not Synced
    The Social Shariah,
    Part- 46
  • Not Synced
All praise is due to Almighty Allah,
And may the peace and blessings of
  • Not Synced
Almighty Allah be upon his trustworthy
    Prophet Muhammad (pbuh),
  • Not Synced
I seek refuge with Allah from the
    accursed Satan,
  • Not Synced
    In the name of Allah,
    most gracious and merciful.
  • Not Synced
Ladies and Gentlemen, In 'Mizaan', Part 2,
    we are discussing Social Shariah.
  • Not Synced
    This is the second part
    of this series.
  • Not Synced
This matter is clear from every
    aspect that,
  • Not Synced
the Shariah of Islam has established
marriage as the foundation of society.
  • Not Synced
As a result of this, the most significant,
valuable and divine relationship on earth
  • Not Synced
    is the relationship of parents.
    Ethically, the behavior towards our
  • Not Synced
parents has already been mentioned several
    times in previously discussed chapters.
  • Not Synced
Here, certain legal aspects of this will
    be understood.
  • Not Synced
I have made the 14th and 15th verse of
    Surah Luqmaan as the introduction
  • Not Synced
to this topic. Surah Luqmaan is
    the Quran's 31st Surah.
  • Not Synced
    Wa wassainal insaana bi waalidaihi
    hamalat hu ummuhoo wahnan ‘alaa
  • Not Synced
    wahninw wa fisaaluhoo fee ‘aamaini
    anishkur lee wa liwaalidaika
  • Not Synced
ilaiyal maseer Wa in jaahadaaka ‘alaaa an
tushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee ‘ilmun
  • Not Synced
    falaa tuti’humaa wa saahib humaa
    fid dunyaa ma’roofanw
  • Not Synced
    wattabi’ sabeela man anaaba ilayy;
    summa ilaiya marji’ukum fa unabbi’ukum
  • Not Synced
    bimaa kuntum ta’maloon.
  • Not Synced
    It has been translated as:
  • Not Synced
And We enjoined man to show
    kindness to his parents,
  • Not Synced
with much pain his mother bears him
and he is not weaned before
  • Not Synced
he is two years of age. We advised him,
be grateful to Me and to your parents.
  • Not Synced
To Me shall all things return.
But if they press you to serve besides Me,
  • Not Synced
that of which you have no knowledge,
    do not obey them.
  • Not Synced
Remain kind to them in this world,
and turn to Me with all devotion.
  • Not Synced
To Me you shall all return, and I will
declare to you everything you have done.
  • Not Synced
I have written that all divine scriptures
    instruct man to show kindness
  • Not Synced
    to the parents.
i.e., In Islam, being kind to the parents
  • Not Synced
has always been the utmost standard
    of behavior.
  • Not Synced
No one should be served besides Allah,
    and parents should be treated
  • Not Synced
    with kindness.
These are the most important commands
  • Not Synced
in the religion of Islam. Therefore,
all messengers have instructed the same.
  • Not Synced
    All divine scriptures have also
    emphasized it.
  • Not Synced
All divine scriptures instruct man to
    show kindness to the parents.
  • Not Synced
Various verses of the Qur’ān also
    direct the believers to be
  • Not Synced
    well-behaved to the parents.
In the 23rd and 24th verse of the
  • Not Synced
Surah Bani Israil, the 8th verse of
    Surah Ankabut,
  • Not Synced
and the 15th verse of Surah Ahqaf,
this topic is stated in these verses
  • Not Synced
    by using the same terms
    approximately.
  • Not Synced
The verse which i have used as the
    introduction to the topic of
  • Not Synced
    Directives relating to parents,
that verse is the 14th and
  • Not Synced
    15th verse of Surah Luqman.
    These verses have also emphasized
  • Not Synced
the same thing more or less.
  • Not Synced
    The above quoted verses however
    specifically determine the limits of
  • Not Synced
    good behavior with the parents.
i.e., as long as the ethical instruction
  • Not Synced
was in consideration, a man was enjoined
to show kindness to his parents.
  • Not Synced
    Show kindness to your parents
and in order to show kindness,
  • Not Synced
a man is made aware of what is the role
    of parents in his upbringing,
  • Not Synced
    what hardships they go through.
And as a child, if you indeed have some
  • Not Synced
human kindness, what should be your
    behavior towards your parents.
  • Not Synced
?This topic has been discussed in
    Surah Bani Israil, Surah Ankabut
  • Not Synced
and Surah Ahqaf which i have mentioned
    above.
  • Not Synced
All of these verses, from the virtuous
point of view, have stated the importance
  • Not Synced
    of this, narrates Almighty Allah's
    instructions, admonish people
  • Not Synced
    and raise awareness among them.
And the importance of showing kindness
  • Not Synced
to parents which is present in
human nature has been mentioned in it,
  • Not Synced
and also being reminded by it.
  • Not Synced
In the verses of Surah luqman,
with this some limitations have been
  • Not Synced
fixed, and this the difference on the
basis of which i have selected these
  • Not Synced
    verses to discuss here.
    i.e., in case of righteousness,
  • Not Synced
    only principles are under discussion,
and in case of ordinance, the limitations,
  • Not Synced
    warnings, and terms and conditions
    are discussed.
  • Not Synced
    This difference should be considered
i.e., one being a law which can be passed
  • Not Synced
in a state, which has its own limitations
but when Almighty Allah states that
  • Not Synced
one thing is shariah and the other
    is hikmah.
  • Not Synced
I have mentioned it earlier and explained
with evidences that the whole content
  • Not Synced
of Islam, everything included in this
religion has been divided into two parts,
  • Not Synced
Hikmah which means faith and virtues,
    which is the true religion,
  • Not Synced
and Al-Kitaab i.e., based on laws.
