-
0:00 - 0:04Hi everyone, thanks for tuning into this video.
-
0:04 - 0:05My name's India Harville,
-
0:05 - 0:10and I'm asking for money for
an upcoming mixed abilities dance training -
0:10 - 0:11I'm doing with Danceability.
-
0:11 - 0:14Mixed abilities dance is an art form
-
0:14 - 0:16that includes all types of people
-
0:16 - 0:18inside of the world of dance.
-
0:18 - 0:20From people who are Deaf,
-
0:20 - 0:21to people who are blind,
-
0:21 - 0:24to anyone with any kind of disability.
-
0:24 - 0:25So it's an amazing experience
-
0:25 - 0:28where everyone can be included.

0:38 - 0:39About 6 years ago
-
0:39 - 0:43I was diagnosed with something called
Complex Migraines. -
0:43 - 0:46My migraines are a little more intense
than the average migraine, -
0:46 - 0:49and they include seizures, paralysis,
-
0:49 - 0:53and other tough neurological symptoms.
-
0:53 - 0:55Before that, I loved dancing.
-
0:55 - 0:58It was my favourite thing to do in the world.
-
0:58 - 1:01And once I got sick, I couldn't do it.
-
1:01 - 1:06And all I wanted to do
was get back to dancing. -
1:06 - 1:08And then I got a wheelchair.
-
1:08 - 1:11And I started going to classes in a wheelchair,
and that was awesome. -
1:11 - 1:14I was finally back in the classroom.
-
1:14 - 1:17But it didn't always work in some classes.
-
1:17 - 1:21Some classes weren't made for a dancer
who was using a wheelchair. -
1:21 - 1:24And so, I had to find places where I could dance
-
1:24 - 1:27in my chair, and out of my chair.
-
1:27 - 1:30And that's when I discovered
mixed abilities dance. -
1:30 - 1:35I've had a wonderful time dancing with all kinds
of dancers in the mixed abilities community. -
1:35 - 1:38Deaf folks, blind folks, you name it.
-
1:38 - 1:41I'm actually in a company
that does mixed abilities dance. -
1:41 - 1:44So take a peek at this clip
of our work in progress. -
1:44 - 1:47[GROUP A CAPELLA SINGING...]
-
2:19 - 2:21So here are all the details.
-
2:21 - 2:22There are 2 parts to this training.
-
2:22 - 2:26One's in May, one's in December,
both are in Austin Texas. -
2:26 - 2:29Danceability -the company sponsoring the training-
-
2:29 - 2:33already gave me a scholarship for
half the tuition. WOOHOO!! YES! -
2:33 - 2:35So that's halfway there.
-
2:35 - 2:39Now I need to raise $6,000
to cover all of my other expenses. -
2:39 - 2:43Now I need to raise the other $900 for tuition;
-
2:43 - 2:47then I'll also need 2 round trip tickets to Texas;
-
2:47 - 2:50I'll need to rent a car and be able to
keep my wheelchair with me; -
2:50 - 2:52I'll need housing while I'm there;
-
2:52 - 2:57I'll also need to make sure I can keep my
very strict paleo diet that supports my health; -
2:57 - 3:00and I'll need some money for my attendants
-
3:00 - 3:02who help me get ready to travel
-
3:02 - 3:04and who help me
when I come home from traveling. -
3:04 - 3:07Cause traveling is still very hard on my body.
-
3:08 - 3:10Any contribution you can make
will help so much. -
3:10 - 3:14Because without your support, I won't be able
to make this trip happen. -
3:14 - 3:17So thank you for watching this video,
and have a great day. -
3:17 - 3:18Bye!

The training is usually offered abroad, and for the first time in eight years, it is returning to the United States!
I received a scholarship from Danceability covering half of the tuition cost (Thanks Danceability!) and now I am looking to raise the additional funds to attend the training...."
