This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Biophysicist Puay Ounjai connects his passion for art with his scientific work in the lab. He unveils amazing images of viruses, cells, and proteins, etc. using an electron microscope, shows their natural beauty by adding color. This then encouraged him to go back to his passion for art and drawing. "Artist in a lab coat or crazy scientist who is mesmerized by the art?"

Puey Ounjai (PhD.) is an experimental biophysicist and lecturer at Mahidol University. He specializes in molecular and cellular imaging. His works were featured as covers of various magazines and journals. Outside the lab, Puey is also an artist, designer and poet whose creations are inspired by the beauty of scientific discovery.
