je znanje

da su atomi koji čine život na Zemlji

atomi koji sačinjavaju ljudsko tijelo

povezani sa pećima koje su u svojim jezgrama skuhale lake elemente

u teške element

pod ekstremnim temperaturama i tlakovima

Te zvijezde, zvijezde velikih masa

su postale nestabilne u svojim kasnim godinama

te su se urušile a zatim eksplodirale raznoseći svoju obogaćenu unutrašnjost po galaksiji

unutrašnjost sačinjenu od ugljika, dušika, kisika

i svih osnovnih sastojaka života

Ti sastojci postaju dio oblaka plina koji se

sabija, urušava, tvori sljedeću generaciju sunčevog sustava

zvijezda sa planetima, planetima koji sada imaju sastojke za život

Tako da, kad pogledam u noćno nebo

i znam da smo mi uistinu dio ovog svemira,

mi smo u svemiru, ali vjerojatno još bitnije od obiju ovih činjenica

je da je svemir u nama.

Kad razmišljam o toj činjenici, pogledam gore-

mnogi ljudi se osjećaju malim, jer su oni mali a svemir je velik-

ali ja se osjećam velik, jer su moji atomi došli sa tih zvijezda.

Postoji razina povezanosti.

To je zapravo ono što želiš u životu, želiš se osjećati povezanim, želiš se osjećati bitnim,

želiš se osjećati kao sudionik u onome što se događa,

u aktivnostima i događajima oko tebe.

To je točno što smo, samim time što smo živi...
