and today we're gonna look at yasnippets

it's pretty much a port from TextMate, except ...

*even more rocking!*

like TextMate snippets you can expand a mnemonic shortcut

you also get placeholders

and like TextMate you can mirror fields

and even transform them

check this out

it strips off the directory

and even camelCases the var for me

so, TextMate can do all this

it even looks a lot like TextMate,

you've got placeholders and stops

but check out this mirror field

I've embedded lisp directly into the snippet

it strips off the directory

it camel cases

here, TextMate uses *regular expressions*

with yasnippets, you get the power

and the functional fingerlickingly good lispness with your snippets

nice!
