My first weddings I have photographed just for fun.

I have been already photographing professionally before,

but I have noticed that as a photographer,

especially photographing wedding I can be most creative.

As a wedding photographer I am photographing people,

architecture, objects and, mostly, documentary.

For me, wedding photography is definitely a creative discipline.

Most important is the photographer’s individual vision,

the ability to notice details, overseen by the others.

On the other side, for me it is not art for art's sake.

For me it is primarily about the couple

and in my pictures I want to show these concrete people

not only from their chocolate side,

but also as natural and authentic, as possible.

Modern wedding photography has to my mind (besides the common term)

little to do with the wedding photography from the time of our parents.

It is not only about all these obligatory motives

like the picture in front of the altar, portrait near the tree and rings on the bride’s bouquet anymore,

it is about the complete story,

from getting ready till the reception late in the evening.

For me the most important is the trust,

which I have to win very quickly,

it is about common understanding with the people I am photographing

and about having fun together.

A considerable amount of my work is creative postproduction.

During this process I can intensify the mood and the atmosphere of the photo,

turning good raw pictures into creative pieces of art.

For the most couples

I then create with these results a beautiful, individually designed wedding album.

I have rarely seen such beautiful photos of this couple.

When our son gets married, we’ll book you again,

we have already clear about that.

We’ll do it again because it is worth every cent,

it is a precious memory for the lifetime and there is no second chance for this motive.”

It is a beautiful feeling to make people happy.

I get it when I present my pictures and albums to the couple.

I see how happy they are and it makes me happy.

This is the best part of my job.
