    and Yukon Cornelius, sir. Who are you?

    of the Island of Misfit Toys.

    A Jack in the Box for a sentry?

    Every night he searches the entire Earth.

    When he finds a misfit toy, one that
    no little girl or boy loves, he brings it here...

    ..to live on this island till someone wants it.

    He's holding court in his castle right now.

    [trumpets sound]

    Come closer.

    What do you desire?
  • 4:10 - 4:15
    Well, we're a couple of misfits from
    Christmas Town, and now we'd like to live here.

    No, that would not be possible.
    This island is for toys alone.

    [Yukon] How'd you like that?
    Even among misfits you're misfits.
  • 4:25 - 4:29
    [King Moonraiser] Unlike playthings, a living creature
    cannot hide himself on an island.
  • 4:29 - 4:34
    But perhaps, being misfits yourselves,
    you might help the toys here.

    [Rudolph] Help them?
  • 4:36 - 4:37
    Yes.

    When someday you return to Christmas Town,
    would you tell Santa about our homeless toys?

    I'm sure he could find little boys and girls
    who would be happy with them.

    A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child.

    [Rudolph] When and if we ever get back, we'll tell Santa, sir.

    [King Moonraiser] Good. You are free to spend the night.

    Footman? Show our friends to their chambers.

    [Hermy] No, it's all settled. We leave tomorrow together.
  • 5:12 - 5:16
    But The Abominable will see my nose and get us all!
  • 5:16 - 5:17
    I've got to go alone.
  • 5:18 - 5:20
    [Yukon] Nonsense! It's all for all and one for--
  • 5:20 - 5:24
    I mean, one-one for....ah! Let's get some shuteye.
  • 5:24 - 5:24
    [Rudolph] But--
  • 5:24 - 5:25
    [Hermy] It's all settled.
  • 5:27 - 5:31
    [snoring]
  • 5:32 - 5:37
    [snowman] Well...poor Rudolph realizes
    that he can't endanger his friends lives anymore.
  • 5:38 - 5:44
    And so, that night, he decides
    to strike out on his own.
  • 5:47 - 5:49
    [wind howls]
  • 5:51 - 5:55
    Goodbye, Cornelius. I hope you find lots of tinsel.
  • 5:56 - 6:05
    Goodbye, Hermey. Whatever a dentist is,
    I hope, someday, that you're the greatest.
  • 6:07 - 6:10
    [Abominable Snow Monster howls]
  • 6:16 - 6:18
    [snowman] Well, time passed slowly.
  • 6:19 - 6:21
    Rudolph existed as best he could.
  • 6:23 - 6:25
    The snow monster kept him on the run...
  • 6:26 - 6:30
    but once in a while he would stop
    and make a friend or two.
  • 6:32 - 6:37
    [snowman] But it wouldn't last long...and Rudolph would be on his own again.
  • 6:39 - 6:44
    But during all that time,
    a strange and wonderful thing happened.
  • 6:48 - 6:50
    Rudolph was growing up!
  • 6:50 - 6:55
    And growing up made Rudolph realize
    you can't run away from your troubles.
  • 6:59 - 7:02
    And pretty soon he knew where he had to go: home.
  • 7:07 - 7:08
    [deer chatter]
  • 7:08 - 7:10
    Yo! I thought you were gone for good!
  • 7:10 - 7:13
    Hey, look who's back! Old Neon Nose!
  • 7:13 - 7:16
    [all deer laugh]
  • 7:18 - 7:22
    Mom! Pa! I'm home!
  • 7:23 - 7:25
    [Santa] They're gone, Rudolph.
  • 7:26 - 7:29
    [Santa] They've been gone for months,
    out looking for you!
  • 7:30 - 7:30
    Clarice?
  • 7:31 - 7:33
    She's gone too and I'm very worried.
  • 7:33 - 7:35
    Christmas Eve is only two days off!
  • 7:35 - 7:40
    And without your father, I'll never
    be able to get my sleigh off the ground.
  • 7:41 - 7:44
    [Rudolph] Gone? I'll find him, sir.
  • 7:44 - 7:46
    [Rudolph] I'll find them all!
  • 7:47 - 7:51
    [snowman] Well, he was
    just about to leave when suddenly...
  • 7:51 - 7:53
    [wind howls]
  • 7:53 - 7:54
    It hit!
  • 7:56 - 7:58
    The storm of storms...
  • 7:59 - 8:02
    and only two days before Christmas Eve!
  • 8:02 - 8:04
    [wind howls]
  • 8:14 - 8:18
    Now Rudolph knew that he had
    to find his folks right away
  • 8:18 - 8:20
    and he knew where he had to look...
  • 8:21 - 8:25
    the cave of The Abominable Snow Monster.
  • 8:34 - 8:36
    [Rudolph] Put her down!
  • 8:57 - 9:00
    [laughs]
  • 9:02 - 9:03
    [snowman] Tell me when it's over!
  • 9:06 - 9:07
    Oh...where was I?
  • 9:07 - 9:08
    Their last chance.
  • 9:09 - 9:10
    Not quite, you see.
  • 9:10 - 9:15
    Ever since Rudolph left them, Hermy and
    Yukon Cornelius had been trying to find their friend.
  • 9:16 - 9:20
    Well, they arrived in Christmas Town
    just as the storm hit.
  • 9:21 - 9:24
    And it was a good thing that I sent them
    right out after Rudolph.
  • 9:25 - 9:26
    [dogs bark]
  • 9:32 - 9:33
    Hey! Look!
  • 9:36 - 9:37
    Whoa!
  • 9:38 - 9:39
    Whoaaaa!
  • 9:40 - 9:42
    Unmush, will ya'?!
  • 9:47 - 9:48
    What do we do?

    We can't let that monster get a hold of them!
