than just what's already been covered so -

and and generally stated individualism -

framework uh... -
3:59 - 4:01that unites these topics

can mention these questions about you -
4:06 - 4:11know lulu a little bit of religion
philosophy social interaction social -
4:11 - 4:13philosophy

4:13 - 4:15politics and government the state

4:22 - 4:26a good way to look at this is that most
of you out there are you know when young -
4:26 - 4:29twenties ice-t_ and so

4:29 - 4:31this is a good time because

4:31 - 4:33you have an opportunity

4:33 - 4:37to avoid some of the mistakes that i
made and i didn't make them all but i -
4:37 - 4:39made it and i made a few of them

4:40 - 4:45uh... it's a good time now to meet you
don't end up you know becoming some -
4:45 - 4:48if you want your choice i mean you can
always -
4:48 - 4:53get married have two-and-a-half kid
become a democrat a republican go go go -

10:30 - 10:34and lived and worked in japan for five
years i worked there until eighteen -

10:36 - 10:39that was quite an experience and um...

10:39 - 10:41then i went from there and live in
france -
10:41 - 10:43and worked in france for two years

10:43 - 10:45and um...

10:45 - 10:47then i came back

10:47 - 10:49to the us in ninety two

10:49 - 10:52uh... deciding to be in entrepreneur him

10:52 - 10:55and start my own company

10:55 - 10:57and over the next year and a half

10:57 - 11:01uh... i got an whole nother education
about business by -
11:01 - 11:03by uh...

11:03 - 11:06starting in failing and not one

11:06 - 11:07not to but

11:12 - 11:14the fourth time

work so fast that you know -

12:13 - 12:17forty five i said nafta i wouldn't even
weighing myself at that point -

counts you know i'm pretty comfortable -

13:17 - 13:19often couple thousand readers

two hundred fifty thousand -

13:27 - 13:28two hundred
-
13:28 - 13:30three hundred thousand pageviews

13:30 - 13:35so it's pretty uh... it's it's it's draw
it's gone quite a ways and for the last -
13:35 - 13:36couple years i've done

13:36 - 13:37done the diet

13:37 - 13:40and and fitness pretty much exclusively
with -
13:40 - 13:44potential forays into into other things
you know personal things and so and some -
13:44 - 13:47of the social things

13:47 - 13:51uh... speaking at the introduction about
three v at all we talked about -
13:51 - 13:55uh... how we live interview

13:55 - 13:58how i feed humanity now

13:58 - 14:01as a matter of domesticated animals kind

14:01 - 14:03never heard of the capitol

14:03 - 14:07conf content rated animal feeding

14:56 - 14:57i'd fight because

14:57 - 14:59yes to go

14:59 - 15:03uh... in fact in fact i just don't know

Personal BiographyBorn & raised in Reno, Nevada. I attended and graduated from a small, religious-oriented private high school. Went on to attend a first year of college at a religious-oriented school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have had no interest in religious matters whatsoever for more than 25 years and don't plan on doing so again.

I Graduated Oregon State University in 1984 with a bachelor's in Business Administration and two minor courses of study in mathematics / computer science, and naval science.
I was commissioned in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) immediately upon graduation from OSU. After some 8 months attending various schools in San Diego, CA, I traveled off to Yokosuka, Japan to join my first ship, the USS REEVES (CG-24), where I served from 1984-1987 as the Assistant Missiles Officer, First Lieutenant, and then finally, Electrical Officer.
After those first three years in Japan, I crossed the pier for another two years, joining the U.S. SEVENTH FLEET embarked aboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19). From 1988-1989 I was both the Assistant Fleet Scheduling Officer and the Assistant Logistics Officer. I managed a fuel budget of $180 million.
I left Japan after five years and headed to Monterey, California, where I was a student at the Defense Language Institute for the latter half of 1989. Upon successful completion of the French language course, I headed to Toulon, France, where from late 1989 -- early 1992 I took up duties an exchange officer with the French Navy: first aboard the FNS COLBERT (C 611), and later, the FNS DUQUESNE (D 603), both as the Navigator.
I left the US Navy in 1992 and returned to the U.S., San Francisco Bay Area. After a few false starts in entrepreneurial endeavors, I started a company in my bedroom in the summer of 1993 that evolved into what is today, Provanta Corp. I still regularly harass a modest cabal of employees.
Activity wise, I took up the sport of Hang-Gliding in 1996, and powered aircraft in 2005. Though I've soloed in the powered plane, I've yet to complete licensing requirements but plan too someday. I also fly sailplanes now and then.
In 2011 I celebrated my 10 year anniversary with my wife, Beatrice.
