As computing devices grow more powerful, they are increasingly used to augment or replace human labor through the simulation of human skills and behaviors. In this unit, you will explore some of the ways in which computer scientists incorporate “artificial intelligence (AI)” into their algorithms, and what the philosophical implications of these advances may mean for the future. You will examine use a number of AI-infused applications, and finally, evaluate these applications using the standard metric for general AI—the Turing Test.
