  • 10:57 - 11:01
    and joined forces
    with the evil Triple H.
  • 11:01 - 11:03
    And that was the moment
    that started it all, right?
  • 11:03 - 11:07
    Here we are married
    with three kids,
  • 11:07 - 11:11
and if that moment never happened,
who knows where we would be today?
  • 11:11 - 11:13
    - (Michael) Mankind in the ring,
    Pedigree time!
  • 11:13 - 11:16
    - Ooh, this is a big one!
    - (Michael) Triple H!
  • 11:16 - 11:19
    - Nothing like winning your first
    WWE Championship.
  • 11:19 - 11:21
    - Say no more, fam.
    - Say no more!
  • 11:21 - 11:22
    - Triple H got you!
  • 11:22 - 11:24
    - (Jerry) Triple H has
    realized his dream!
  • 11:24 - 11:26
    It's all about Triple H!
    - Awesome.
  • 11:26 - 11:27
    - That's the first one, right?
  • 11:27 - 11:31
As a performer, that's what everybody
    gets in this stuff for,
  • 11:31 - 11:34
is to be able to have that moment,
and you never forget your first one.
  • 11:34 - 11:36
    - That was the beginning
    of everything.
  • 11:36 - 11:41
The run that he went on,
with being at the top of WWE
  • 11:41 - 11:44
for as long as he did
    was unprecidented.
  • 11:44 - 11:46
    - It was a slog, you know?
    It was a journey.
  • 11:46 - 11:49
    It didn't happen overnight,
    it wasn't a success.
  • 11:49 - 11:51
It was one thing, one story,
    good story,
  • 11:51 - 11:53
    one victory after another,
    after another feud,
  • 11:53 - 11:57
    after another feud,
    it's definitely been a cool,
  • 11:57 - 12:00
    unbelievable road and journey
    for Triple H,
  • 12:00 - 12:03
and now being the head of NXT,
a lot of great memories there.
  • 12:03 - 12:04
    - All these clips just go to show you
  • 12:04 - 12:06
    that starting out as
    Hunter Hearst Helmsley,
  • 12:06 - 12:08
and seeing where he is now.
  • 12:08 - 12:09
    You never know,
    you gotta keep grinding,
  • 12:09 - 12:12
    you gotta keep hustling,
    you gotta keep working hard.
  • 12:12 - 12:15
    - So this year marks
    the 25th anniversary
  • 12:15 - 12:17
of Triple H in the WWE.
  • 12:17 - 12:19
Can you talk a little bit about
  • 12:19 - 12:22
    what Triple H has meant
    for you personally?
  • 12:22 - 12:24
    - Oh, personally for me,
    Triple H is, you know,
  • 12:24 - 12:25
he's been there through it all.
  • 12:25 - 12:27
If it weren't for Triple H,
  • 12:27 - 12:29
there would be no Seth Rollins
    as you know him today.
  • 12:29 - 12:32
    - I kinda owe my whole career to him,
  • 12:32 - 12:35
    because I wouldn't have
the opportunity if he didn't care.
  • 12:35 - 12:38
    - Paul, I mean, there,
    and, Hunter,
  • 12:38 - 12:39
I never know what to call him
  • 12:39 - 12:42
    when I'm talking about him
    as a performer,
  • 12:42 - 12:43
    you know, it's so funny
    in our business,
  • 12:43 - 12:45
    everybody has so many
    different names, except me.
  • 12:45 - 12:48
He has such a big heart,
    he's so smart.
  • 12:48 - 12:52
    He's really, really smart,
    he's funny.
  • 12:52 - 12:59
    He's handsome, he's the most
    incredible father, he's a leader.
  • 12:59 - 13:02
He is, he's the total package,
he is my dream come true.
  • 13:02 - 13:07
    - I've been able to make an awful,
    you know, wonderful living,
  • 13:07 - 13:09
one, doing what I love to do,
  • 13:09 - 13:14
and then getting to do it
side by side with your best friend.
  • 13:14 - 13:19
    That is absolutely
    an unbelievable thing.
  • 13:19 - 13:21
    - So Triple H has been
    an instrumental part
  • 13:21 - 13:24
    in mentoring many superstars
    since he started,
  • 13:24 - 13:27
    and heavily involved
in what the NXT brand is today.
  • 13:27 - 13:31
So can you talk a bit about
    his impact on NXT?
  • 13:31 - 13:33
    - NXT is definitely his vision.
    - Yes!
  • 13:33 - 13:37
    - He's the reason NXT
is successful as it is today.
  • 13:37 - 13:39
    - He loves this business,
    there's no doubt about it.
  • 13:39 - 13:42
    He's very passionate
    about this business,
  • 13:42 - 13:43
    and if he sees something
    in anybody,
  • 13:43 - 13:45
    even the ones who don't
    have the most natural talent,
  • 13:45 - 13:47
but have a lot of hunger,
    he'll do everything he can
  • 13:47 - 13:49
    to help them succeed.
  • 13:49 - 13:51
    - He didn't look at a guy like me
    and say you're too small.
  • 13:51 - 13:53
    He said you're talented,
  • 13:53 - 13:55
    and I'm gonna let
    talented people be talented
  • 13:55 - 13:58
and I'm gonna give you a stage,
and he gave us a stage,
  • 13:58 - 14:01
    and for that, I mean,
    I owe him a lot.
  • 14:01 - 14:04
    - One of the stories
    that doesn't get told enough
  • 14:04 - 14:07
about Triple H is how he
    has always been
  • 14:07 - 14:11
    a proponent for the women
    in our business.
  • 14:11 - 14:14
    He would fight, you know,
    for Chyna
  • 14:14 - 14:18
to have a lot of the opportunities
    that she deserved, quite frankly.
  • 14:18 - 14:20
    He started training the women
    same as the men,
  • 14:20 - 14:24
    and that's what led to
the Give Divas A Chance hashtag
  • 14:24 - 14:28
    that ultimately changed
    the entire landscape in WWE
  • 14:28 - 14:30
    for our female performers.
  • 14:30 - 14:31
    - If you'd have told
    either one of us
  • 14:31 - 14:34
    that 25 years later
    we would be getting to,
  • 14:34 - 14:40
    getting the opportunity to work
with each other again side by side,
  • 14:40 - 14:44
    doing something like NXT,
I mean, we'd have been tickled pink.
  • 14:44 - 14:46
    I feel blessed we're getting
    to do it.
  • 14:46 - 14:48
    He stuck by me
    every step of the way,
  • 14:48 - 14:50
and that's why, again, you know,
  • 14:50 - 14:53
it's why I stick by him
    every step of the way.
  • 14:53 - 14:57
    - So finally, if Triple H
    were watching this right now,
  • 14:57 - 14:58
what would you want to say to him?
  • 14:58 - 14:59
    - Tell him not to get a big head,
  • 14:59 - 15:01
    I'll still knock
    the [censored] out of him.
  • 15:01 - 15:04
    That WrestleMania victory
was a fluke, you can tell him that.
  • 15:04 - 15:05
    It's a fluke!
  • 15:05 - 15:06
    - Oh, just thanks.
  • 15:06 - 15:08
He's always been very real with me,
    and very honest with me,
  • 15:08 - 15:09
    and I appreciate that.
  • 15:09 - 15:14
    - I hope he realizes
how influential he really has been,
  • 15:14 - 15:16
and how much he motivates people.
  • 15:16 - 15:19
    He's an incredible example
of guys who lead by example,
  • 15:19 - 15:22
and me and so many others
are very thankful to work for him.
  • 15:22 - 15:24
    - Hunter, maybe one day
    me and Candice
  • 15:24 - 15:27
    will ride down on motorcycles,
    and it will be awesome,
  • 15:27 - 15:31
    but in all seriousness,
thank you for being you man.
  • 15:31 - 15:35
I owe my career to you,
I do, me and Candice both.
  • 15:35 - 15:37
    Like thank you so much
for taking a chance on us.
  • 15:37 - 15:39
    - I'm forever grateful
  • 15:39 - 15:42
    for the confidence
    he instilled in my dad,
  • 15:42 - 15:43
    and gave back to him,
  • 15:43 - 15:49
and just giving me the opportunity
in NXT, which changed my life.
  • 15:49 - 15:52
    - Because of him, I'm given
the opportunity to do what I love
  • 15:52 - 15:54
    every single week,
  • 15:54 - 15:57
it just feels so good to feel
    kinda equal in this business,
  • 15:57 - 15:59
    and it's because of him
    for giving me the opportunity,
  • 15:59 - 16:02
    and giving all of us
    the opportunity and that time.
  • 16:02 - 16:04
    And he's incredible,
    and I'm so thankful.
  • 16:04 - 16:09
    - This honestly doesn't happen
    without him having our back
  • 16:09 - 16:11
    and beliving in us,
and having the faith in us
  • 16:11 - 16:14
to do what we've been able to do.
  • 16:14 - 16:17
    - Thank you very much for
  • 16:18 - 16:20
taking me through my entire childhood.
  • 16:20 - 16:22
    The dedication to the craft,
  • 16:22 - 16:24
    and always believing
    in myself and Dawks.
  • 16:24 - 16:29
    - Triple OG, OG Triple H.
    Happy 25th, bro.
  • 16:29 - 16:31
    - All I know is it's been a blast,
  • 16:31 - 16:36
and I look forward to, you know,
both of us living another 25 years,
  • 16:36 - 16:41
and (laughs) continuing to hang out
and have fun together in the future.
  • 16:41 - 16:45
    - I couldn't be more proud of you,
    I love you so much.
  • 16:45 - 16:51
    You deserve every celebration,
25 years of this iconic career,
