-
You have enough.
-
There's a Buddhist practice called "tri túc" in Vietnamese,
-
meaning, no, that you have enough.
-
"Tri" is to know, to remember, to master.
-
"Túc" means enough.
-
Interestingly, "túc" also means feet.
-
So "tri túc" means that you know and remember
-
that you have enough and take good care of what you have.
-
Additionally, it means you appreciate that you have feet,
-
the foundation of your body.
-
Our feet symbolize all the conditions of happiness
-
available to us right here and right now.
-
To know that we still have feet is enough to make us happy.
-
Without mindfulness, we take what we have for granted,
-
a destitute on a constant search.
-
We may even take our mindfulness practice for granted,
-
and as a result, we become less fortunate
-
than those who are sincerely seeking a spiritual path
-
and are still full of openness and inspiration.
-
Knowing that we have enough,
-
we realize that we have everything we ever wish for
-
and that we are enough.
-
This is the true spirit of aimlessness.
-
Awareness of our steps, of our bodily movements,
-
of our inbreath, and outbreath train us
-
to dwell stably and gratefully in the present moment,
-
which will in turn become a beautiful past.
-
Healing the traumas and wounds in our body and mind.
-
It is also the most effective cure
-
for the modern epidemic of restlessness and boredom.
-
A happy moment.
-
Breathing in and breathing out.
-
I am aware that I'm still alive.
-
I still have myself.
-
I still have good health conditions.
-
My loved ones are still with me
-
and my colleagues and friends are surrounding me.
-
I recognize that this is a happy moment.
-
Breathing in and out.
-
I recall the image of a person who has loved me and helped me
-
to become more beautiful, more stable,
-
more spacious and more loving towards myself and others.
-
This is a happy moment.
-
Breathing in and out.
-
I recall the things someone has thought, done and said,
-
that helped me to be who I am today
-
and to know what love is.

This is a happy moment.
-
I love you so.

I love you so.

Thank you.
