Narrator: One night I was bored in my apartment
-
and decided to take my telescope out to the sidewalk.
-
The moon was out and I thought, why not?
-
Within a few minutes, people started walking over
-
and asking what this thing was.
-
Man: "What is that bro?"
-
It's a telescope!
-
Man: "Oh."
-
Do you want to check out the moon?
-
Do you want to look a look at the moon?
-
It's the moon!
-
Woman: "Where am I supposed to look?"
-
You're supposed to look right here.
-
Woman: "Oh! In there!"
-
That's where it all started and it sort of just went from there.
-
Man: "I'm looking at the moon hold on real quick. Oh my god."
-
Man 2: "Ohhh my goooood."
-
Boy: "OH MY GOD!"
-
Man 3: "Oh my god, I can't believe it."
-
Woman: "Oh, oh my god."
-
Woman 2: "Oh my god, no way."
-
Man 4: "No way."
-
Man 5: "No way, that's the moon?"
-
Woman 3: "No way..."
Narrator: "Yeah way." [Chuckles]
Woman 3: "No!"
-
Woman: "Whoa! You can see the craters! Yeah. That is so cool!"
-
[Indistinguishable]
"Whoaaaaaaa!"
-
"What?"
-
"What?! Look at the edge, I want... to see... more... of it."
-
"Hooooly !@#$."
-
"I have never seen this before."
-
"I never seen this !@#$ before like this man."
-
"WOOOOW, that is intense right there boy, wooo."
-
"Bro, that look like that's right down the street, man."
-
"Man, what you got here - man, that look like right down the street."
-
Is that the actual image of the moon? Like is it a live image?
-
[Gasp]
-
Narrator: To be able to see it up close,
-
and feel like you can almost reach out and
-
touch it, and that's what makes it real to us.
-
Man: "That is incredible."
-
Woman: "I kind of felt like I just landed on the moon."
-
Narrator: It makes you realize that
-
we are all on a small, little planet
-
and we all have the same reaction to the universe we live in.
-
[Wows]
-
I think there's something special about that...
-
something... unifying.
-
It's a great reminder that we should look up more often.
