Title:
A bee in New York | Andrew Coté | TEDxVicenza
Description:

Andrew Coté is a fourth-generation beekeeper and polyglot with most of his beehives atop skyscrapers in New York City. Although tending to his many hives in Connecticut and New York City is a full-time job, Andrew’s passions are diverse. The beekeeper dubbed by the New York Times as “one of the industry’s legends” and by Bon Appetit as “hot tempered”, Andrew is a Fulbright scholar and retired professor as well as beekeeper extraordinaire. He has installed a live honeybee sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, done a beekeeping commercial with Spike Lee, and assists the NYPD with bee-related emergencies in Gotham City. Andrew is also the founder of two non-profit organizations, Bees Without Borders and the New York City Beekeepers Association.
