Yolande Ouellet au palais de justice (avril 2000)

Yolande Ouellet, 57 ans, comparait au palais de justice de Trois-Rivières pour un incident de rage au volant survenu le 8 avril 2000 à l'intersection du boulevard des Chenaux et de la rue Whitehead à Trois-Rivières, QC

She must face charges of reckless driving

and hit and run.

The events took place last Saturday.

Today at Trois-Rivières Courthouse,

Yolande Ouellet was charged with reckless driving and hit and run.

Saturday, at the corner of Des Chenaux Boulevard and Whitehead Street

her vehicle collided with another car.

Prosecutors said Ms. Ouellet hit the car three more times.

Once the driver was able to get out of his car, he barely escaped a direct hit from Ms. Ouellet.

“He was an insolent, who did not share the road.”

“He had a small navy blue car and wouldn't let me pass.”

“Then he hit my car

and I have returned the favor: I hit his car back!“

Two witnesses who tried to intervene were also threatened by Ms. Ouellet.

Proclaiming her innocence, she even says that she is the victim.

“No, it is him!”

“You understand what you want or what she says!”

“Where is he, the little bum?”

“He should be here this morning!”

“And there were two others who followed behind: they are his buddies!”

“Two bums, too!”

“There are three guys involved.”

“And they blocked me the way... with their gray cars!”

“And I could hit them!”

She pleaded "not guilty".

Ms. Ouellet will return to court on May 4, for her preliminary hearing.
