The curve shot
-
right now
-
we will show you
-
the technique
-
how to practice
-
and how to use it in a real-game situations
-
you are watching All Attack
-
technique
-
first lets start
-
with the basics
-
a ball curves because of side spin
-
and side spin is created by striking the edge of the
-
ball
-
but if you want to shoot with curve
-
you have to do more than just hit the edge of the ball
-
if you want power
-
you will have to use the area between
-
the top of your foot
-
and the inside of your foot
-
plant your other foot next to the ball
-
and strike along the side of the ball
-
starting low and following through upward
-
to give your shot some height
-
practice
-
when you are first starting to practice
-
your curve shots
-
you just won't have the muscle strength
-
to shoot powerfully right away
-
so if you are a beginner start small
-
and use the inside of you foot
-
to practice curving the ball
-
essentially just curving passes
-
in to the goal from not too far away
-
then when you feel you are curving the ball
-
consistently and accurately
-
you can start using the area
-
closer to the top of your foot
-
and gradually increase the distance and power
-
game situations
-
curve around defender
-
when you are in a game
-
you don't always have a clear line to go
-
sometimes there is a defender blocking the corner
-
of the goal that you would like to shoot to
-
but if you are great of curving shots
-
you can create an angle where there doesn't appear
-
to be one
-
difficult shooting angles
-
when you want to take a shot
-
but you touched the ball slightly backward
-
away from the goal
-
it's pretty difficult to shoot
-
with the power shot technique
-
and get it on target
-
but with the curve technique
-
the ball can be directly to the side or
-
slightly behind you
-
and you can still curve the ball into the far corner
-
reverse to near post
-
when you touch the ball to the side
-
and you are looking to curve the ball into the
-
far corner
-
sometimes the goalkeeper will anticipate your shot
-
and cheat to that side of the goal
-
but the great thing about the curve shot technique
-
when you are good at it
-
is that it's actually fairly easy to act like you are going
-
to curve the ball to the far post
-
but actually curve your shot to the near post
-
freekicks,crosses and corners
-
one of the best things about the curve shot technique
-
is that it's helpful even when you are not shooting
-
because whether you are weeping on a cross
-
curling a corner
-
or bending a free kick around a wall
-
the technique is essentially the same
-
just with more or less power
-
