Using a flip phone for 3 days

So I got an AT&T Cingular Flip phone.

This is what it looks like.

It also came with this SIM card, this battery, and a charger.

[I put cash into the SIM card for texts & calls]
So I put my SIM card in

and then I'm going to put the batteries in.

Okay.

So I just need to put in the password for my wifi.

This is going to take a while.

So on the home screen, they have Google Maps,

they have YouTube, Google Assistant, Store.

It also has some basic apps here.

Like weather news, browser. There's a camera.

Why do my eyebrows look so dark?

So apparently, the apps that I could download
on this phone are very limited.

Social media apps.

They only have Twitter.

Facebook, and then some other apps that I
don't use,

I'm glad they have YouTube built in

cause I spend most of my time on YouTube anyway.

I could use the internet browser to log into
my social media accou nts.

Like, I could just go on to instagram.com
and then sign in and use that, I think,

except I don't remember my password, so I don't think I can do that.

I have these cute little stickers.

So I'm going to be decorating my phone.

It actually doesn't stick that well.

Alright, so I managed to log into my Instagram.

It keeps telling me to rotate my device to add a story.

If I wanted to like a picture, I would have to scroll down like this.

but this was too tedious]

So I'm looking at the tracking status of my shipment and...

I've been binge reading a lot of webtoons recently.

So I'm looking through webtoons on this phone.

I'm going to try to do all of the things I
typically do on my iPhone using this phone.

I'm going to start reading this webtoon.

I'm not sure if they have English translations on the English app. (they do!)

But it looks like it's pretty popular, it has 285 episodes.

So this is going to entertain me for a while.

Oh, that's a lot easier.

I learned how to scroll.

Wait, this is so much easier.

I'm currently charging my phone right now.

The battery life seems to be a little bit on the shorter side.

I remember when I used a flip phone back when I was in Korea,

the Korean keypad was rearranged in a way that

[similar characters are grouped together]
made a lot more sense because it wasn't necessarily in order.

I'm still in the process of getting used to typing on the keypad.

I've been trying to not wash my hair as frequently

because I want to keep this color as long as possible.

This is going to last about five washes.

I have washed it once.

I used to survive on cheezits.

[final thoughts] Hey guys. So before I end the video,

I wanted to give you guys my overall thoughts on using a flip phone for a few days.

It's super portable. It fits right into the palm of my hand.

My hands are tiny.

I've yet to meet someone who has smaller hands than I do.

And it fits perfectly. This is my iPhone 11.

This is the size of the phone.

It does make it a little bit more difficult
to access social media apps.

So if you're looking into decreasing your
screen time, I would recommend this.

Typing out text messages is a lot more difficult than a touch screen.

Overall, I really liked this phone.

It had all of the things that I needed.

I definitely would do this again if I wanted to.
