Mooji's Christmas Message 2013

    Mooji's Christmas Message
  • 0:04 - 0:06
    Monte Sahaja
    25th December 2013
  • 0:07 - 0:11
[Mooji] People have not heard this message
    from me,
  • 0:11 - 0:15
    Don't identify with anything,
    don't identify with your body,
  • 0:15 - 0:19
    don't identify with gender,
    don't identify with any religion,
  • 0:19 - 0:22
don't identify with any name deeply.
  • 0:22 - 0:26
    Superficially, yes, it's OK,
    superficially, it's OK,
  • 0:26 - 0:33
    but deeply don't combine yourself
    with anything at all.
  • 0:33 - 0:35
You might be working as a doctor,
  • 0:35 - 0:39
but don't think in your heart
    that you are a doctor.
  • 0:39 - 0:43
When you get rid of all these associations,
  • 0:43 - 0:46
all these ideas and all these identities,
  • 0:46 - 0:50
    then strangely, amazingly,
    something fresh arises from inside,
  • 0:50 - 0:54
    that has been awaiting discovery
    for a very long time.
  • 0:54 - 1:01
But a human being has to become completely naked,
    empty of every concept.
  • 1:01 - 1:05
We imagine that this is hard,
but it is actually very easy,
  • 1:05 - 1:08
and it's something that we need to try.
  • 1:08 - 1:11
Because if you've not tried it before,
  • 1:11 - 1:16
    you have not really lived,
    until you are empty, empty.
  • 1:16 - 1:24
Everyone should taste what it is
    before we picked up identity.
  • 1:24 - 1:31
    Once we became clothed
    with this phenomenal identity,
  • 1:31 - 1:36
we came into a kind of trap.
  • 1:36 - 1:42
It's as though we exchanged our universality
  • 1:42 - 1:45
for a state of conditioning and identity.
  • 1:45 - 1:49
What I'm telling you is the most generous,
  • 1:49 - 1:55
the most loving, the most liberating thing.
  • 1:55 - 1:58
But there is some persistence in us,
  • 1:58 - 2:04
and an attitude, habit to identify as something.
  • 2:04 - 2:09
    We feel naked without it,
well, the wrong kind of naked.
  • 2:09 - 2:14
We feel, 'Oh, without being somebody, I'm nobody',
    which is true,
  • 2:14 - 2:20
but we take that like that is something bad.
  • 2:20 - 2:27
    When you're nobody,
you're not a member of any cult, the nobody cult.
  • 2:27 - 2:36
There is no such thing at all,
but you should at least taste it.
  • 2:36 - 2:44
    Don't identify with being anybody,
with somebody, or even with nobody.
  • 2:44 - 2:48
And instantly, it shouldn't take long, instantly,
  • 2:48 - 2:54
you will feel the space of your Being. Instantly!
  • 2:54 - 3:01
Not even medicine works as quick as that.
  • 3:01 - 3:05
Instantly you drop your notions about personhood,
  • 3:05 - 3:14
who you are, who you want to be,
    and immediately you are free!
  • 3:14 - 3:17
So that would be my Christmas message
    I would send to you.
  • 3:17 - 3:21
    Anywhere in the world,
it can go to any human being,
  • 3:21 - 3:25
it is compatible with any culture.
  • 3:25 - 3:31
    This message is compatible
with any state of mind, any culture.
  • 3:31 - 3:37
    Somebody from these places
will hear what I'm speaking and will apply it.
  • 3:37 - 3:39
    It's not a Christian message,
  • 3:39 - 3:43
    it's not a Muslim message,
    it's not a Buddhist message.
  • 3:43 - 3:45
    It's universal.
  • 3:45 - 3:50
    It's a universal invitation
that will reveal something in you.
  • 3:50 - 3:56
    I would say,
it is a great sadness to miss this opportunity,
  • 3:56 - 4:01
to deny your Self, deny your Self.
  • 4:01 - 4:10
    Deny your ego-self
and discover the Self you could never not be,
  • 4:10 - 4:14
and then move in life, move in life.
  • 4:14 - 4:18
You will move like the wind.
    The wind has no name.
  • 4:18 - 4:23
    When the wind moves,
    it's not called Wednesday's wind,
  • 4:23 - 4:25
    it's not called Antarctic wind.
  • 4:25 - 4:29
The mind gives it that name,
but the wind has no name.
  • 4:29 - 4:32
You will move like that, you will live like that.
  • 4:32 - 4:36
The air has no name, the water has no name.
  • 4:36 - 4:40
    We call it water,
but water doesn't call itself water.
  • 4:40 - 4:43
Anybody who tastes that, don't worry,
  • 4:43 - 4:47
it's not that you won't be able to talk.
    You will talk.
  • 4:47 - 4:50
You'll still be able to relate to other beings
  • 4:50 - 4:52
at a superficial level, which is fine.
  • 4:52 - 4:58
Your body will not be dead,
so the bodily existence, it will continue.
  • 4:58 - 5:03
    But for the first time,
something will pull you to the inmost room,
  • 5:03 - 5:07
    the roomless room,
  • 5:07 - 5:11
and then you will know automatically
  • 5:11 - 5:15
what I have been talking about all these years.
  • 5:15 - 5:24
The one who has never been born,
    who never grows old,
  • 5:24 - 5:34
    who never grows tired, who never hates;
    this one you will know.
  • 5:34 - 5:37
And this thing, I say, Christmas message, why?
  • 5:37 - 5:40
Because on Christmas Day you can get it!
  • 5:40 - 5:44
I'm not giving you a Christmas message
that you'll get on New Year's Day.
  • 5:44 - 5:48
    I give you this message
like I give you a present for Christmas,
  • 5:48 - 5:50
you'll open it on Christmas Day.
  • 5:50 - 5:54
I will give you this present on Christmas Day,
  • 5:54 - 5:56
and you can know it on Christmas Day.
  • 5:56 - 6:00
You don't have to wait for Boxing Day,
    New Year's Eve,
  • 6:00 - 6:04
    New Year's Day, next year.
  • 6:04 - 6:13
    So what a beautiful present,
it doesn't come in any wrapping paper.
  • 6:13 - 6:23
This would be my gift to all,
    whoever will receive it.
