「路殺社」是因為對路殺現象的好奇而成立，透過號召民眾上傳路上看到的動物屍體照片，成立至今已記錄了十萬張的動物遺照。當這些照片資料經過整理分析後，不但能讓人類了解路殺熱點、進行事前預防，還能讓我們更加了解台灣動物生態，例如資料大多分布在城市和近郊的淺山地區，其實會讓人們意識到，原來自家附近竟然還有那麼多動物努力生存著...

投入台灣野生動物生態保育研究與推廣迄今 20 年，研究的物種類群經常發生路殺，為深入了解道路設計對動物的威脅，2011 年成立路殺社的網路社群平台，讓公眾一同參與路死動物調查與回報，引起廣泛討論，並推廣大眾對生命的尊重。

Taiwan Roadkill Observation Network is a movement that was created out of one man's concern over the lack of roadkill data in Taiwan. To date, its members have contributed over 100,000 roadkill photos. By analyzing these images, they are able to identify the island's accident-prone hotspots and design their prevention measures. In this insightful talk, Lin shares how data collected from roadkill incidents helped map Taiwan's animal habitats with more precision.

For twenty years, Te-En Lin has endeavored to conserve wildlife and raise awareness of the issue. He is the founder of Taiwan Roadkill Observation Network, an online community for Taiwan's citizen scientists to report and monitor roadkill incidents.
