Could you both answer a few questions

You are both talented girls

and we want to learn something from you.

We want to explore the issue of talent.

Is talent something we inherit

or something we develop later in our lives?

First, tell us something about yourselves.

My name's Justyna. I'm 18 years old.

I go to Technical Secondary School

of Hotel Administration.

My hobby is playing the violin

and listening to music.

Hello, I’m Marcelina. I’m 18 years old.

I go to to Veterinary Technical School.

I’m into signing and music.

Tell us. Were you born with your talent

or did you develop it?

It is obvious

that I was born with my talent

but it took a long time of hard work

to develop it.

How about you?

I got my talent from my father,

but I had to develop it

and every day I try to be better.

When did you start

your adventure with music?

At the age of six I started singing

in primary school bands.

At the age of ten I started

going to a music school.

Now I belong to Consonans

where I can pracise singing.

Do you think your hobby-

playing the violin

makes you a better student?

No, I don't really think so

because I miss a lot of lessons

because of the rehearsals.

And you?

I think that my hobby makes me

a better student

and more sensitive to art

and helps me develop my skills.

What makes someone a good artist?

In my opinion, practice and determination

make someone a good singer.

And you?

I think that most important of all

is that a good artist needs to love

what he or she does.

What motivates you to practise singing?

My motivation is professional

singing career.

In the future, I would like to sing

on a stage and in front of a huge audience.

How about you?

My biggest motivation is that

I can show people my skills

and express myself.

Who is your favourite artist?

My favourite artist is Coldplay.

I admire them for their music and lyrics.

Which artist do you admire?

I admire The Neighbourhood

because I can listen to their music

in every mood that I am.

You both belong to our school

music band Consonans

which is very popular

among students and teachers.

It's unusual that it was created

45 years ago.

What is your greatest achievement?

Our greatest achievement is winning

the National Patriotic Song Competition.

Would you like to be a professional

musician and make money as an artist?

Yes, I would. This is my dream.

How about being a veterinarian?

Well, I can do both these professions.

Do you have a stage fright

when you perform in public?

How do you overcome it?

No, I don't have a stage fright

when I'm sure that every song

that we perform

is perfectly done.

And you?

Performances are very stressful,

because I want to be the best.

I overcome it by positive thinking.
