    Have you heard about
    Willington island?
  • 5:49 - 5:50
    Go
  • 5:54 - 5:57
    In the beginning
    of 20th century...
  • 5:57 - 5:59
    Madras Presidency
    was ruled by
  • 5:59 - 6:01
    Governor Lord willingdon
  • 6:01 - 6:05
    As desired by him...
    to build in Kochi...our Kochi...
  • 6:05 - 6:08
    an international...
    shipping port...
  • 6:08 - 6:11
    Robert Bristow came
    as an Harbour engineer
  • 6:32 - 6:36
    Using the soil dredged
    out for making the port
  • 6:36 - 6:41
He suggested to Lord an elegant
    artificial... island can be made
  • 6:41 - 6:43
    Lord gave his consent
  • 6:49 - 6:51
    That day Bristow
    wrote in his diary
  • 6:51 - 6:54
    'I am going to
    create a large island...
  • 6:54 - 6:57
    ...made from the...
    bottom of Arabian sea'
  • 6:58 - 7:01
    This was the first Indian
    man-made island
  • 7:01 - 7:05
    Birstow named it
    Willingdon island'
  • 7:06 - 7:08
    Absolutely, how long...
    it is going to take?
  • 7:09 - 7:11
    Moothry get some water
  • 7:12 - 7:15
Sir this is going to be the first
    man-made island in India
  • 7:15 - 7:17
    Lord Willingdon wants it
    to be exactly like this
  • 7:17 - 7:19
    But we have never done
    like this before
  • 7:19 - 7:21
    We don't know how to
  • 7:22 - 7:25
    Sir...l am Moothry not
    Munhy
  • 7:29 - 7:32
    - Moothry
    - Murthy
  • 7:32 - 7:34
    - Moonhry
    - Murthy
  • 7:34 - 7:36
    - Moonhry
    - Murthy
  • 7:36 - 7:37
    Moonhry...
  • 7:45 - 7:47
    Should I change the
    appointment of...
  • 7:48 - 7:51
0k, I will ask for my
    first to check text book...
  • 7:51 - 7:52
    ...to see if the
    project is sustainable
  • 7:52 - 7:55
If not I would have to take
    permission from people
  • 7:55 - 7:56
    And if not allowed to
    come back on Tuesday...
  • 7:56 - 7:58
    ...you and Mr.Jhonson
  • 7:59 - 8:00
I will ask to come back on Tuesday...
  • 8:00 - 8:01
    ...and set an appointment
    with Mr.Murray
  • 8:02 - 8:03
And after an hour of discussion
    it should be solved
  • 8:03 - 8:06
I was sitting down in Kochi Fort...
  • 8:06 - 8:09
    and two guys
    approached me and...
  • 8:12 - 8:14
    What are you doing?
  • 8:27 - 8:28
    Poor Munhy grandpa
  • 8:28 - 8:30
All of them chided him a lot
  • 8:31 - 8:32
    But seeing that there was...
  • 8:32 - 8:35
    ...a flash in Bristow's mind
  • 8:35 - 8:36
    During monsoon times...
  • 8:36 - 8:39
    ...the current in Vembanad
    lake would be high
  • 8:39 - 8:42
Will it not affect the island?
  • 8:42 - 8:47
    His bald head could
    not find an answer
  • 8:47 - 8:51
    At that time Bristow
    received a gift
  • 8:56 - 8:57
    Sir...
  • 9:06 - 9:07
    What's this?
  • 9:08 - 9:10
    Centuries ago
  • 9:10 - 9:13
    In an Italian pirate
    ship used a pen...
  • 9:13 - 9:15
    ...for chart work
    called monkey pen
  • 9:15 - 9:17
    It is a magic pen
  • 9:18 - 9:21
    Dear Mr.Bristow
    lam Tom Samsung
  • 9:22 - 9:24
Sending you a gift a pen
  • 9:24 - 9:25
    This is no ordinary pen
  • 9:25 - 9:26
    It is a monkey pen
  • 9:27 - 9:28
    Was created...
  • 9:28 - 9:30
    When we can't write
    about something...
  • 9:30 - 9:32
    ...and for questions
    for which we have...
  • 9:32 - 9:34
    ...no answer the monkey
    pen would help us
  • 9:34 - 9:38
What can this monkey pen do?
  • 9:40 - 9:41
    Hey
  • 9:41 - 9:44
    That day Munhy grandpa
felt the chillness of the lake
  • 9:53 - 9:56
    Does this man like
    monkeys so much?
  • 9:56 - 9:59
    Yes I like monkeys
  • 9:59 - 10:01
    Has he learned Malayalam?
  • 10:01 - 10:02
    Moonhry
  • 10:02 - 10:05
    Do you know
Why I appointed you as my servant
  • 10:05 - 10:07
    Because you
    look like a monkey
  • 10:09 - 10:10
    Exactly
  • 10:16 - 10:20
    Bristow firmly believed
the monkey pen would help him
  • 10:21 - 10:22
    But however hard he tried...
  • 10:22 - 10:24
    ...monkey pen did not
    do any miracles
  • 10:25 - 10:26
    As Munhy grandpa says
  • 10:26 - 10:30
    What wonder
    can a monkey pen do?
  • 10:50 - 10:52
    Next day when
    Bristow opened his eyes...
  • 10:52 - 10:54
    ...he saw some
    changes in the map
  • 11:01 - 11:04
    Bristow shuddered
    with excitement
  • 11:05 - 11:08
    Ryan run...
  • 11:08 - 11:09
    ...seems security has seen us
  • 11:10 - 11:12

it was a 50 acres place
  • 16:23 - 16:24

  • 16:24 - 16:27
    I had to crouch
    there for 10 months
  • 16:27 - 16:28
    I only know the troubles
  • 16:29 - 16:30
Do you know what he did?
  • 16:30 - 16:31
    Stay quiet
  • 16:31 - 16:33

He may not go to school for 2 days
  • 16:33 - 16:35
Then let her hit me dad
  • 16:35 - 16:38
    Did you hear what a
    5th standard boy says?
  • 16:38 - 16:39
    I heard it all
    You go
  • 16:39 - 16:41
You will have it from me
  • 16:42 - 16:44
    - What did you add?
    - Salt
  • 16:44 - 16:46

  • 16:47 - 16:52
    Dad...could you get only her
    for love marriage...
  • 16:52 - 16:53
    What ever she talks...
  • 16:53 - 16:56
    She talks with
    a rural accent
  • 16:57 - 16:59
    What to say...
    I was destined to...
  • 17:00 - 17:04
    Yet I don't know...
    how you fell for her?
  • 17:14 - 17:15
    How is this aroma?
  • 17:15 - 17:16
    Is it not super?
  • 17:17 - 17:19
    It was a much intense
    aroma than this
  • 17:20 - 17:23
I was doing plus 1 then
  • 17:25 - 17:28
    Smell of a baked meat
  • 17:30 - 17:34
    Then onl started observing her
  • 17:38 - 17:41
One day I gave her a
    red band and said
  • 17:42 - 17:43
    If she liked me...
  • 17:43 - 17:45
    She should wear it in
    her hand next day
  • 17:49 - 17:52
Next day I waited for her
  • 17:52 - 17:55
    There came your mom
  • 18:00 - 18:02
    How did the red
    become blue?
  • 18:06 - 18:07
    In everyone's love...
    there would be a
  • 18:07 - 18:10
    surprising prank...
    hidden some where
  • 18:10 - 18:12
    I realised it that day
  • 18:29 - 18:32
After plus 2 she would be
    married to some one
  • 18:32 - 18:34
    When her parents said so...
  • 18:34 - 18:36
    I married her
  • 18:37 - 18:39
    Were there no other problems?
  • 18:40 - 18:42
    There were problems
  • 18:44 - 18:47
    But the real problem
    started after one year
  • 18:55 - 18:57
    What was that dad?
  • 19:00 - 19:02
When I think about that problem...
  • 19:03 - 19:06
...the first thought I get is
    about a room
  • 19:06 - 19:09
    A room full of cradles
  • 19:09 - 19:10
    Amidst them...
  • 19:10 - 19:16
    ...from one cradle
    a little leg surfaced
  • 19:18 - 19:20
    So Ryan Philip was born
  • 19:20 - 19:21
    Right?
  • 19:23 - 19:26
Then am I a problem for you?
  • 19:26 - 19:29
Thus at the age of 19
  • 19:30 - 19:31
    When people
    mocked at us that
  • 19:31 - 19:33
    We don't have the maturity
    to bring up children...
  • 19:33 - 19:34
    I used to tell them
  • 19:34 - 19:38
    My son Ryan is not
    so disobedient
  • 19:38 - 19:39
    Ryan Philip
  • 19:40 - 19:41
    Ryan Philip R.S
  • 19:44 - 19:45
    Absent sir
  • 19:49 - 19:51
    Rama Ravana Rajeev Nandanan
  • 19:51 - 19:52

  • 19:53 - 19:54
    Absent sir
  • 19:54 - 19:55
    Jahangir R
  • 19:55 - 19:56
    Absent sir
  • 19:58 - 20:01
    Don't know where all the
    4 pranksters have gone
  • 20:14 - 20:20
    "In unseen hide outs
we can play hide and seek"
  • 20:20 - 20:26
    "Let's go further on top
    of misty mountains"
  • 20:26 - 20:34
    "We can hear stories daily
    lying underneath blankets"
  • 20:34 - 20:40
    "Can climb tree branches
    without falling down"
  • 20:40 - 20:47
    "With smile laden lips and
    eyes depicting pranks"
  • 20:47 - 20:52
    "Let's cosset dance and sing
    Accompany me"
  • 20:53 - 21:00
"Did stars from sky come down"
  • 21:00 - 21:06
    "The day you arrived
did the house realise it ?"
  • 21:06 - 21:13
    "With smile laden lips and
    eyes depicting pranks"
  • 21:13 - 21:19
    "Let's cosset dance and sing
    Accompany me"
  • 21:30 - 21:31
    36 divided by 6
  • 21:32 - 21:33

    This devil would blast us
    and peel our skin today...

    -Yes sir
  • 22:34 - 22:35

  • 22:36 - 22:37
    Up on the chair...
  • 22:38 - 22:40
    Get on the bench...
  • 22:44 - 22:46
    It doesn't look
    like a punishment
  • 22:47 - 22:48
    Raise the hands too
  • 22:48 - 22:49
    Hands up
  • 22:52 - 22:54
    And stay like
    this till evening
  • 22:55 - 22:56
    Whenever you come late...
  • 22:56 - 22:58
    ...this will be the
    punishment to you
  • 22:58 - 22:59
    Understood
  • 22:59 - 23:01
    - Idiots...
    - Yes sir
  • 23:02 - 23:05
    Shut up...

  • 23:06 - 23:07
    And the remainder is
  • 23:07 - 23:09
    - Zero
    - Good
  • 23:12 - 23:15
    - Next problem...
    - Hey...
  • 23:15 - 23:16
    82 divided by 10
  • 23:16 - 23:18
    Did he check
    the home work?
  • 23:18 - 23:20
    No seems he
    has forgotten it
  • 23:20 - 23:22

  • 23:23 - 23:24
    Sir home work
  • 23:24 - 23:28
    Oh yes...l forgot...
    You collect all notebooks
  • 23:48 - 23:49
    Ryan Philips
  • 23:49 - 23:51
    Look straight Ryan
  • 23:52 - 23:54
    You will not come
    to school on time...
  • 23:54 - 23:55
    And would not do
    home work too
  • 23:55 - 23:58
    Then why do
    you come to school?
  • 23:58 - 23:59
    You are in 5th standard
  • 23:59 - 24:01
    But don't know
    even multiplication
  • 24:01 - 24:02
    What is 9 x 4?
  • 24:02 - 24:04
    What is 9 x 4?
  • 24:06 - 24:08
    Answer me Ryan
  • 24:09 - 24:11
    I asked you 9 x 4
  • 24:20 - 24:23
    Ohl could have born as...
  • 24:23 - 24:27
    Ryan butterfly or
    Ryan ant like this?
  • 24:27 - 24:30
Then I need not go to school
    Need not do home work
  • 24:31 - 24:34
    God...why did you made
    me a human being?
  • 24:35 - 24:37
    What's wrong with that?
  • 24:46 - 24:47
    Who are you?
  • 24:48 - 24:50
    Every one is alike
  • 24:50 - 24:51
    They would call me
    ten thousand times
  • 24:51 - 24:54
    But when I appear...
they would ask who I am
  • 24:54 - 24:55
    Are you God?
  • 24:58 - 25:00
    So is God like you?
  • 25:00 - 25:01
    Actually what's
    your problem?
  • 25:01 - 25:03
Is it because I am like this...
  • 25:03 - 25:05
    ...orwhy I created you
    as an human being?
  • 25:05 - 25:07
    I have no problems
  • 25:18 - 25:21
    Why I created you
    as an human being
  • 25:21 - 25:23
    The answer lies in this
  • 25:28 - 25:31
    Hereafter if you come without
    doing home work
  • 25:32 - 25:34
    lam telling you...
    you had it
  • 25:36 - 25:38

    to do maths home work!
  • 26:58 - 27:00
    Actually what is
    your problem?
  • 27:00 - 27:04
Is it no super hero's available...
    to do maths home work?
  • 27:04 - 27:06
    Or is it your inability
    to do home work
  • 27:07 - 27:10

  • 27:27 - 27:29
    that dinosaur's roar
    I pissed on my shorts
  • 27:29 - 27:31

    calling me 'Maths pisser'
  • 27:36 - 27:37
    Come

    changed the school
  • 27:51 - 27:54

    about me to mom
  • 31:28 - 31:29
He said I am not good in studies
  • 31:30 - 31:32
    Not doing home work...
    and things like that
  • 31:32 - 31:34

    Our moms live in
    a different world

    marrying some one
  • 33:02 - 33:06
    So that she would
    do my home work
  • 33:07 - 33:09
    For how many things
    we can trouble mom?
  • 33:09 - 33:11
    This seems to be
    a good idea
  • 33:11 - 33:12
    He would
    blabber like this

  • 33:16 - 33:17
    That's rig ht
  • 33:17 - 33:19
    Need not marry...
  • 33:19 - 33:21
    Just beguile and make
    her be with us
  • 33:21 - 33:25
    Then she would
    do home work
  • 33:29 - 33:30
    My God,"
  • 33:30 - 33:32
    First time in my life...
    lam seeing guys...
  • 33:32 - 33:34

  • 33:47 - 33:49

  • 33:50 - 33:52
    It is not there
    for 5th standard
  • 33:52 - 33:53
    So you want me
    to teach you...
  • 33:53 - 33:55
    How to beguile girls
    Is that what you want?
  • 33:56 - 33:57
    Who is the girl...?
  • 33:58 - 34:00

  • 34:57 - 34:59

    But seems there are
    intelligent boys too
  • 35:46 - 35:48
    Why are you not
    rating boys high?
  • 35:48 - 35:52

    that gives a hearty joy
  • 36:43 - 36:45
    Taking us on the chariot
    of winged dreams...
  • 36:45 - 36:49

    Then the freedom it gives...
  • 36:51 - 36:52
    What nonsense...?
  • 36:52 - 36:55
    Makes love to go for
    a starry journey

  • 38:06 - 38:11
    ...to kick with my foot
    to bear my children
  • 38:11 - 38:17
    ...and finally when my
    body is burnt to ashes
  • 38:17 - 38:22
    ...to lament and bemoan

  • 38:25 - 38:27

  • 42:41 - 42:41
    No...
  • 42:42 - 42:45
    We will tackle him
    at evening after school hours
  • 44:04 - 44:06
    Are you studying young Mirash?
  • 44:06 - 44:08
My name is Dessi Mal K George
  • 44:08 - 44:09
    Sit down there
  • 44:10 - 44:12
If you play with me any more
  • 44:12 - 44:14
    What pierced here now
    would pierce your mouth
  • 44:14 - 44:17
    You young Mirash...
    Sit there
  • 44:19 - 44:21
    How is my pencil revenge
  • 44:21 - 44:23
    Shall I make a move?
  • 45:00 - 45:02
    'Why are you talking
    to these guys?'
  • 45:02 - 45:04
    'They are all bad boys'
  • 45:07 - 45:08
    'Do you know something?'
  • 45:09 - 45:11
    'His Father is Christian and
    mother is a Muslim'
  • 45:12 - 45:14
    'That's why he has
    become an idiot'
  • 45:16 - 45:18
How will I make it smaller...
    without erasing it?
  • 45:18 - 45:19
    God...
  • 45:22 - 45:23
    God...
  • 45:24 - 45:27
    Are you a Christian
    or a Muslim?
  • 45:41 - 45:42
    No jokes...
  • 45:42 - 45:44
    I asked you seriously
  • 45:44 - 45:47
What you asked would be the
    biggest joke in world
  • 45:47 - 45:48
    You ask this question to...
  • 45:48 - 45:53
    2 persons I tell you
  • 45:53 - 45:55
    You would get the answer
  • 45:55 - 45:58
No, I don't have his number
  • 45:58 - 46:00
    0k, I would come
    Would come
  • 46:01 - 46:02
    It was Bobby from Dubai
  • 46:02 - 46:04
    He is getting
    married next month
  • 46:04 - 46:07
    Reception is at Bravi
  • 46:07 - 46:10
    My marriage should have
    been celebrated there...
  • 46:10 - 46:14
    ...along with beef fry
    toddy appam and wine
  • 46:14 - 46:17
    Have you ever been there
    for any Christian marriage?
  • 46:17 - 46:20
    This looks like a
    marriage in a toddy shop
  • 46:20 - 46:22
    Have you ever seen
    a Malabar marriage?
  • 46:23 - 46:27
    Alisa, Buffalo meat, biriyani...
  • 46:27 - 46:29
    It's a real celebration
  • 46:30 - 46:32
What to talk about my luck...
  • 46:34 - 46:35
    Dad...
  • 46:35 - 46:38
Are we a Christian or a Muslim?
  • 46:38 - 46:39
    Muslim
  • 46:39 - 46:41
    Why should you have
    doubt about it?
  • 46:41 - 46:43
    Drat
    Christian...
  • 46:43 - 46:44
    We are Christians son
  • 46:44 - 46:45
    Either say this or that
  • 46:46 - 46:47
    You sit there
  • 46:47 - 46:49
    No first tell me
  • 46:50 - 46:52
    You sit there
  • 46:52 - 46:56
    Here is your...
    favourite water melon
  • 46:56 - 46:57
    Battakka
  • 46:58 - 47:00
    Battakka
  • 47:00 - 47:02
    You are living with
    me for 10 years
  • 47:02 - 47:04
    Even now you say Battakka
  • 47:04 - 47:05
    It is water melon
  • 47:05 - 47:08
    Whatever is the name
it refers to the same item
  • 47:13 - 47:15
    Tell me dad
  • 47:19 - 47:22
    - What is this?
    - Water melon
  • 47:23 - 47:25
    What do we call this
    in dad's place?
  • 47:26 - 47:27
    Water melon
  • 47:27 - 47:29
    What does ignorant people
    like your mom call this?
  • 47:29 - 47:31
    Battaakka
  • 47:32 - 47:35
    Names may be different
    But taste is same
  • 47:36 - 47:37
    God is similar to this
  • 47:37 - 47:39
    All Gods are same
  • 47:39 - 47:42
    We just call them Hindu
    Christian and Muslim
  • 47:49 - 47:52
    Then what is
    the taste of God?
  • 47:55 - 47:56
    What...
  • 47:58 - 48:01
    Dad says he...
    doesn't want children
  • 48:01 - 48:02
    Don't you have
    anything to study?
  • 48:02 - 48:03
    Go and study
  • 48:04 - 48:06
lam asking this only to learn
    Tell me
  • 48:06 - 48:09
    Water melon has many names
    But the taste is same
  • 48:09 - 48:12
    Similarly God
    has many names
  • 48:12 - 48:14
    lam asking you
    what is God's taste?
  • 48:20 - 48:21
    Love
  • 48:22 - 48:23
Love is the taste of God
  • 48:24 - 48:26
    - Understood?
    - No
  • 48:30 - 48:32
    Why are you laughing?
  • 48:34 - 48:36
    How can I explain you?
  • 48:37 - 48:40
    You do some mischief...
  • 48:41 - 48:45
    But I don't beat you...
    and tell you with love
  • 48:45 - 48:48
    Ryanu dear...you
    shouldn't do like that
  • 48:48 - 48:50
    ...and advice you
    how it should be done
  • 48:50 - 48:52
    Will you repeat it again?
  • 48:54 - 48:59
Why I tell you with love
    and don't beat you...
  • 49:00 - 49:02
    ...because God
    functions within us
  • 49:02 - 49:05
    That love is called God
  • 49:05 - 49:07
    Have you understood now?
  • 49:10 - 49:13
Your dad is not valuable son
    for some for many people
  • 49:14 - 49:15
    It is true
  • 49:16 - 49:19
    Not true, it was ringing
    of the call bell
  • 49:19 - 49:21
    Go to bed early
  • 49:21 - 49:23
Else I would go to bed early
  • 49:23 - 49:25
    - Have this
    - Thank you
  • 49:30 - 49:32
    Is this Ryan Philip's house?
  • 49:32 - 49:34
    Yes...who is it?
  • 49:34 - 49:35
    I am John Kuzhiyakathu
  • 49:37 - 49:38
    lam Dessi Mal's dad
  • 49:40 - 49:43
    Do you know what he
did to my son at school?
  • 49:44 - 49:47
    I would not go...
    until we decide on this
  • 49:47 - 49:49
    He has stabbed my
    son with a pencil
  • 49:49 - 49:50
    Tomorrow he would...
  • 49:50 - 49:51
    Hold on
  • 49:51 - 49:54
    - Brother tomorrow let's inform the school
    - He is my son
  • 49:54 - 49:55
    You would not understand it
  • 49:55 - 49:57
He is not able to even walk
  • 49:57 - 49:58
    Brother
  • 49:58 - 50:00
    You keep quiet
After all you are his uncle
  • 50:00 - 50:00
    Ask him...
  • 50:00 - 50:01
    Tomorrow we will
    tell school authorities
  • 50:01 - 50:04
Don't bring up kids like this
    If you can't...
  • 50:04 - 50:06
At least you take him inside
    Enough brother Come...
  • 50:06 - 50:08
    Let's deal with it tomorrow
  • 50:10 - 50:12
    My God...please come fast
  • 50:12 - 50:15
    Please function within
    Love is God
  • 50:16 - 50:19
    Though he has your demeanour
    intelligence is mine
  • 50:20 - 50:21
    Love is God
  • 50:21 - 50:24
    O God...God god
    God...God
  • 50:26 - 50:27
    O God...God...
  • 50:32 - 50:34
    Why does they
    come to school?
  • 50:34 - 50:35
    Is it to take revenge?
  • 50:35 - 50:36
    One fellow stabs with pencil
  • 50:36 - 50:39
    Another fellow avenges by
    pushing him down from cycle
  • 50:39 - 50:40
    These fellows
    are not students
  • 50:40 - 50:42
    They are terrorists
    Terrorists
  • 50:44 - 50:47
    I never thought Dessi Mal
    would do like this
  • 50:54 - 50:56
    All the time the mistake
    is on Ryan's pan
  • 50:58 - 51:01
    But today what Dessi Mal
    did was bit excessive
  • 51:02 - 51:04
    For the time being
    I will let them go
  • 51:04 - 51:05
    You may go...
  • 51:13 - 51:15
    If any problem
    arises from them again...
  • 51:15 - 51:18
    ...you may better look
    for another school
  • 51:23 - 51:25
    Wait for a while
  • 51:26 - 51:28
    - Pappan sir wait for a minute
    - Sir
  • 51:28 - 51:29
I have something to tell you
  • 51:29 - 51:31
    Dessi Mal
  • 51:32 - 51:33
    What?
  • 51:33 - 51:34
    Why is it like this?
  • 51:34 - 51:36
    Why so many complaints
    from your class?
  • 51:36 - 51:37
    Are they all dullards
  • 51:37 - 51:39
    Your son is not
    like what I thought
  • 51:40 - 51:41
    He is very brilliant
  • 51:42 - 51:44
    Didn't you ask me a
    question yesterday?
  • 51:45 - 51:47
    Without erasing this line...
  • 51:48 - 51:50
    ...how to make it small?
  • 51:54 - 51:56
    Has it become small now?
  • 52:02 - 52:03
    But intelligence is like money
  • 52:04 - 52:06
It can be used for good things
    and also for bad things
  • 52:06 - 52:08
    That boy getting misguided...
  • 52:08 - 52:10
    ...could be solely
    because of you
  • 52:13 - 52:17
Even otherwise there is a complaint
That I support you to a great extent
  • 52:17 - 52:18
    I hope you know...
  • 52:18 - 52:19
    ...what happened to
    Pavitran and others
  • 52:20 - 52:21
    You are in a
    temporary post
  • 52:21 - 52:23
    lfl get any allegations again...
  • 52:23 - 52:25
    I can't help it
  • 52:25 - 52:26
    Sorry sir
  • 52:27 - 52:29
    - What happened?
    - Nothing
  • 52:31 - 52:32

  • 52:35 - 52:38

  • 52:38 - 52:39

  • 52:39 - 52:41
    From the doctor
    at the hospital...
  • 52:42 - 52:44
    Which doctor?
    What did you tell them?
  • 52:44 - 52:46
    Fancy dress
  • 52:48 - 52:49
    Jesus
  • 52:49 - 52:51
    From where did you
    learn all these deceit?
  • 52:51 - 52:52
    From dad...
  • 52:53 - 52:55
    I will thrash you
    Get on to the bike
  • 52:55 - 52:56
    From dad...
  • 52:57 - 52:59
    Sir has a good repute
    with every one
  • 52:59 - 53:00
    Is it?
  • 53:01 - 53:02
Dad don't tell this to mom
  • 53:02 - 53:03

  • 53:04 - 53:05

    to any one?
  • 60:02 - 60:03

    "I find it is
    better changing"
  • 67:29 - 67:34
"I have been wanting to be
    someone good enough"
  • 67:34 - 67:38
    "Seeing those stars
    that shine on me"
  • 67:38 - 67:40
    "blinking every time"
  • 67:40 - 67:42

    Have you heard about
    Wiillingdon island?
  • 68:17 - 68:19
What has got it to do with
    you doing home work?
  • 68:20 - 68:22
    Let me tell you
  • 68:22 - 68:25
    On Friday evening
    hearing what Juan said...
  • 68:25 - 68:29
    I was tensed
    when I went home...
  • 68:29 - 68:32
    Mom and dad took
    me for some marriage too
  • 68:36 - 68:39
I sat in a corner tensed
  • 68:39 - 68:41
    Then I saw it
    rolling towards me
  • 68:48 - 68:50
    Again I saw the
    same person
  • 68:50 - 68:51
    Who was it?
  • 68:51 - 68:53
    When the cycle was
    hit the other day...
  • 68:53 - 68:55
    I abused a guy
    That guy...
  • 68:55 - 68:57
    What is that incident
  • 68:57 - 68:58
    An incident like that happened
  • 68:58 - 69:02
    May be out of anger
that man said something to me
  • 69:02 - 69:04
    You would also have retorted
  • 69:04 - 69:05
    Correct
  • 69:05 - 69:08
    Finally people gathered
and it went out of hands
  • 69:08 - 69:09
    - Go from here old man...
    - No dear
  • 69:09 - 69:11
    From where did
    this lousy boy come?
  • 69:11 - 69:12
    What about you?
  • 69:12 - 69:13
    You are a bud...
    not bloomed
  • 69:13 - 69:14
    Not bloomed
    What about you?
  • 69:14 - 69:16
    - Shut up your mouth
    - I can't
  • 69:16 - 69:18
    - I say shut up
    - No way
  • 69:18 - 69:19
    - Dear...
    - Who is this boy?
  • 69:19 - 69:20
    - Dear...
    - Leave me man...
  • 69:20 - 69:22
    Who is this fellow...?
    Who is this fellow?
  • 69:22 - 69:23
    - Ryanu
    - What's it?
  • 69:23 - 69:25
    - Dad...this man...
    - Stop talking
  • 69:34 - 69:35
    Is he your son?
  • 69:36 - 69:38
    What he does at home
    he does outside also
  • 69:39 - 69:41
    Aren't you ashamed to
    bring up kids like this?
  • 69:41 - 69:44
    Don't you know
    how he behaved here?
  • 69:45 - 69:47
    Has he learnt to
    respect elders?
  • 69:47 - 69:47
    Has he...?
  • 69:47 - 69:49
    Brother...please
    Let's go
  • 69:49 - 69:50
    What rubbish man
  • 69:52 - 69:54
    That man said something
  • 69:54 - 69:57
    Mom and dad were disgraced
  • 69:58 - 70:01
    For the first time dad
    chided me that day
  • 70:08 - 70:09
    Get down
  • 70:09 - 70:12
    See how he stands
    Should thrash you
  • 70:12 - 70:13
    You should have
    done it much before
  • 70:13 - 70:14
    Not now...
  • 70:14 - 70:15
    He puts me to
    shame before others
  • 70:16 - 70:17
    How many times
    I can tolerate him
  • 70:17 - 70:18
    See how he goes...
  • 70:18 - 70:19
    What you did
    to your dad long ago
  • 70:19 - 70:21
Your son is doing to you now
  • 70:21 - 70:22
    Endure it
  • 70:29 - 70:31
    What did your mom mean?
  • 70:31 - 70:34
    I too didn't understand
    But dad did
  • 70:34 - 70:37
    That dialogue of mom
    subsided dad's anger
  • 70:54 - 70:55
    You...
  • 71:03 - 71:06
    tiff
  • 71:06 - 71:10
    "Rains showered
    afresh in dreams"
  • 71:10 - 71:14
    "Weaves floral
    designs in memories"
  • 71:14 - 71:22
    "Will see the life
    lamp is not put out"
  • 71:22 - 71:30
    "You became my
    umbrage and my shadow“
  • 71:30 - 71:39
    "Will preserve and show
    my love and grief"
  • 71:39 - 71:47
    "Will take your thousand
    cossets with greed"
  • 71:48 - 71:57
    "Good deeds flutter your
    wings within me forever"
  • 71:57 - 72:02
    tiff
  • 72:30 - 72:39
"In the smiles that words spread
    grief melted without knowledge"
  • 72:39 - 72:42
    "Turned as shadow
    and propitious flowers"
  • 72:42 - 72:47
    "Became flowing waves
    Became colourful tides"
  • 72:47 - 72:51
    "Became the melody
    of my usual songs"
  • 72:51 - 72:55
    "Became the rhythms of the
    song that you hum"
  • 72:55 - 72:59
    "Became the melody
    of my usual songs"
  • 72:59 - 73:04
    "Became the rhythms of the
    song that you hum"
  • 73:04 - 73:05
    "at least once
  • 73:05 - 73:10
    Son...when you...
    don't respect others...
  • 73:10 - 73:12
    Mind you
    your dad is embarrassed
  • 73:13 - 73:14
    Sorry dad
  • 73:15 - 73:16
    I would not do...
    like that any more
  • 73:16 - 73:19
    That man said
    something and
  • 73:19 - 73:21
    Not that man
    Your grandpa
  • 73:21 - 73:24
    - Grandpa?
    - Grandpa
  • 73:27 - 73:28
    My dad
  • 73:29 - 73:31
    So haven't you seen
    your grandpa until then?
  • 73:31 - 73:32
    No I haven't
  • 73:32 - 73:34
    Dad marrying mom
    and my birth...
  • 73:34 - 73:37
    ...were not known to grandpa
  • 73:38 - 73:41
    Because of the fall out
    grandpa went to sea...
  • 73:41 - 73:43
    After years...
they met again on that day
  • 73:44 - 73:47
Why did he go to sea?
    Was it for fishing?
  • 73:47 - 73:49
    No grandpa was
    a captain in ship
  • 73:49 - 73:50
    Captain Richard Philip
  • 73:50 - 73:53
    Then where is your
    grandpa staying?
  • 73:53 - 73:57
    Son...success
    The phone is working
  • 73:58 - 74:00
    lam calling from that phone
  • 74:02 - 74:03
    No issues...
  • 74:05 - 74:08
    One minute
    I will call you
  • 74:30 - 74:31
    Why is he here?
  • 74:31 - 74:33
He wants to be with his
    grandpa for two days
  • 74:33 - 74:36
    Grandpa...?
    Whose grandpa...!
  • 74:40 - 74:42
    There is no one here
    to take care of kids
  • 74:42 - 74:46
    There are no kids...
    Just me...
  • 74:48 - 74:50
    Your hair has grayed
    Can't you dye it?
  • 74:56 - 74:56
    My God,"
  • 74:56 - 74:57
    Stay there
  • 74:58 - 74:59
    Where have you come?
  • 74:59 - 75:01
    What grandpa...
I want to have a shower
  • 75:01 - 75:03
    Don't call me grandpa...?
  • 75:03 - 75:05
Then can I call you buddy?
  • 75:05 - 75:07
    - I will thrash you
    -Leave me
  • 75:07 - 75:10
    Leave me grand pa
  • 75:27 - 75:29
    Captain Richard Philip
  • 76:01 - 76:02
    Hello...
  • 76:05 - 76:07
    It is easy to
    jump this wall
  • 76:08 - 76:10
    - Ronnie...
    - Ryan
  • 76:10 - 76:14
    - Ronnie...
    - Ryan...Ryan Philip
  • 76:14 - 76:15
    Ronnie...
  • 76:44 - 76:47
    How cruel is your grandpa
  • 76:47 - 76:48
    Then...
  • 76:50 - 76:53
    Grandpa...
    Grandpa
  • 76:53 - 76:55
    Mom...come fast
  • 76:56 - 76:58
    My god...save me
  • 77:31 - 77:32
    Grandpa...
  • 77:32 - 77:34
    Where are you
    going grandpa?
  • 77:34 - 77:36
    Where are you
    going grandpa?
  • 77:36 - 77:38
    Grandpa...
    lam also coming
  • 77:45 - 77:48
    Ryanu...
It is good to be with grandpa...
  • 77:48 - 77:50
    But you must be careful
  • 77:50 - 77:54
    Grandpa has lot of
    antique collections at home
  • 77:54 - 77:57
As you climb on my back
    if you climb on them
  • 77:57 - 78:01
    Grandpa would shoot
    down you and me
  • 78:01 - 78:02
    Have you heard me?
  • 78:02 - 78:04
    So dear son...
  • 78:04 - 78:06
...even at the risk of your life
    don't touch any of them
  • 78:06 - 78:08
    I know you...
    would not touch them
  • 78:34 - 78:34
    My God,"
  • 78:41 - 78:42
    Ronnie come...
  • 79:07 - 79:09
    Then I understood
  • 79:09 - 79:13
Though he appears like a shark
grandpa is like a gold fish
  • 79:13 - 79:16
"In the smiles that words spread..."
  • 79:16 - 79:21
    "...grief melted without knowledge"
  • 79:21 - 79:25
    "Turned as shadow
    and propitious flowers"
  • 79:25 - 79:29
    "Became flowing waves
    Became colourful tides"
  • 79:29 - 79:33
    "Became the melody
    of my usual songs"
  • 79:33 - 79:37
    "Became the rhythms of the
    song that you hum"
  • 79:37 - 79:42
    "Became the melody
    of my usual songs"
  • 79:42 - 79:46
    "Became the rhythms of the
    song that you hum"
  • 79:46 - 79:55
    "At least once would
    see it with greed"
  • 79:55 - 79:59
    "Rains showered
    afresh in dreams"
  • 79:59 - 80:03
    "weaves floral
    designs in memories"
  • 80:03 - 80:11
    "Will see the life
    lamp is not put out"
  • 80:11 - 80:20
    "You became my
    umbrage and my shadow“
  • 80:20 - 80:25
    "Will preserve and show
    my love and grief"
  • 80:35 - 80:39
    When grandpa was narrating
    his experience in sea
  • 80:39 - 80:40
    Suddenly...
  • 81:06 - 81:07
    What is it grandpa...?
  • 81:09 - 81:10
    My monkey pen is missing
  • 81:10 - 81:13
    Monkey pen...?
    What is it?
  • 81:15 - 81:18
    It's a very secret pen
  • 81:18 - 81:19
    Pen...?
  • 81:20 - 81:20
    You know?
  • 81:21 - 81:24
    There is a very interesting
    story behind that pen...
  • 81:28 - 81:31
    In the beginning
    of 20th century...
  • 81:31 - 81:34
    Madras Presidency
    was ruled by
  • 81:34 - 81:37
    Governor Lord Wiilingdon
  • 81:37 - 81:41
As desired by him at the
    west coastal region Kochi

    Harbour engineer called
    Robert Bristow came
  • 82:26 - 82:30
    Waking up next day morning
he saw certain changes were made...
  • 82:30 - 82:35
    ...in the Willingdon island
    mapping by monkey pen
  • 82:35 - 82:37
    He was surprised
    and yelled seeing this
  • 82:37 - 82:37
    Moonhry
  • 82:37 - 82:39
    - Moonhry
    - Sir
  • 82:39 - 82:41
    - Moonhry
    - Sir
  • 82:43 - 82:44
    What happened sir?
  • 82:44 - 82:48
    During monsoon times the current
    in Vembanadu would be high
  • 82:48 - 82:50
    That would affect the...
  • 82:50 - 82:53
    ...the proposed island to
    be made by dredging
  • 82:53 - 82:54
    To avoid this
    surrounding the island...
  • 82:54 - 82:58
    ...small bulwarks
    are to be made
  • 82:58 - 83:00
    This change was
    made in the map...
  • 83:00 - 83:02
...by the monkey pen and gave
    an insight to Robert Bristow
  • 83:02 - 83:07
    Thus everyone believed
monkey pen is a magic pen
  • 83:07 - 83:13
Even now one can see small bulwarks
    built around Willingdon island...
  • 83:13 - 83:16
    ...as drawn by monkey pen
  • 83:17 - 83:20
    Though septic
    I believed that story
  • 83:23 - 83:25
    He need not go to
    school tomorrow
  • 83:27 - 83:29
    Hope you have
    not lost anything
  • 83:29 - 83:30
    No dad
  • 84:09 - 84:10
    Monday...
  • 84:10 - 84:13
    I then remembered
    I haven't done home work
  • 84:14 - 84:16
    Something obstructed my pocket
  • 84:16 - 84:18
    I checked and found
    it was the monkey pen
  • 84:18 - 84:20
    Probably while...
    playing that day...
  • 84:20 - 84:21
    I might have
    kept it in pocket
  • 84:21 - 84:23
    Since I was feeling sleepy...
  • 84:23 - 84:24
    I could neither
    do home work...
  • 84:24 - 84:26
    ...nor look at the
    monkey pen properly
  • 84:45 - 84:46
    Monday morning
    I got up late
  • 84:46 - 84:49
    Suddenly I grabbed
what all I could and reached school
  • 84:50 - 84:51
    Only after seeing Pappan
  • 84:51 - 84:53
    I remembered about
    home work again
  • 84:53 - 84:54
    Quickly take your
    maths home work
  • 84:54 - 84:56
    As usual no home work
  • 84:57 - 85:00
    For a change Ryan Philip
has done his home work today
  • 85:02 - 85:03
    lgot it
  • 85:03 - 85:05
    I can't do maths
    home work today also
  • 85:05 - 85:08
    From today
    I am your friend
  • 85:09 - 85:10
    Stop it guy
  • 85:10 - 85:11
    For quite sometime...
  • 85:11 - 85:13
    ...he is telling an
    implausible story
  • 85:13 - 85:15
    lam telling the truth
  • 85:15 - 85:17
It may be true you would
    have gone to grandpa's house
  • 85:18 - 85:24
But to believe a monkey pen
    has done your home work
  • 85:24 - 85:26
    We are not fools
  • 85:26 - 85:31
    Jugru...there are lot of unbelievable
    things in this world
  • 85:31 - 85:33
    E>
  • 85:47 - 85:52
    No paper can be folded
more than 7 times like this
  • 85:53 - 85:54
    Go man...
  • 85:54 - 85:55
    Who told you
    this foolish thing
  • 85:56 - 85:57
    Try first and then speak
  • 85:58 - 86:02
If you could succeed in folding
don't believe what all I said
  • 86:06 - 86:07
    Two...
  • 86:08 - 86:09
    Three
  • 86:10 - 86:12
    Four...
  • 86:12 - 86:14
    Five...
  • 86:15 - 86:18
    Si...six
  • 86:20 - 86:22
    Se...Seven
  • 86:26 - 86:27
    Great
  • 86:29 - 86:32
    So I solved my
    first problem
  • 86:32 - 86:35
    Second problem-Pappan
  • 86:35 - 86:37
    Like a good FM station...
  • 86:37 - 86:40
...the alumni association has set up
    a school radio for us
  • 86:40 - 86:42
    If you don't do
    good programs
  • 86:42 - 86:44
    I would make someone
    else to head this
  • 86:44 - 86:45
    You may 9°
  • 86:47 - 86:50
    Havel not told you
    before youjoined...
  • 86:50 - 86:52
...this is not an easy job
  • 86:52 - 86:54
    Will have ego clashes
    with people like Pavitran...
  • 86:54 - 86:55
    ...there may be derisions
  • 86:56 - 86:58
    You agreed for
    everything that day
  • 86:58 - 87:00
    But why are you
    going to resign now?
  • 87:00 - 87:01
    That day's police issue...
  • 87:01 - 87:04
    ...was the most horrible
    day in my life
  • 87:04 - 87:05
    You can't say that
  • 87:05 - 87:09
    Perhaps the coming days
could be more horrible than that
  • 87:09 - 87:10
    Come on tell me
  • 87:10 - 87:12
    Yesterday
    I saw SI Verghese
  • 87:12 - 87:13
He told me about a thing
  • 87:14 - 87:18
That fake call was made by
    a kid modulating the voice
  • 87:19 - 87:21
    Since the mobile phone
    was switched off
  • 87:21 - 87:22
    They could not
    trace the person
  • 87:22 - 87:26
A student of yours have done
    this devilry to you
  • 87:26 - 87:29
Can there be a more shameful
thing for a teacher than this?
  • 87:29 - 87:34
    A student of your class
once taught me a great lesson
  • 87:34 - 87:35
    Student taught
    you a lesson...?
  • 87:35 - 87:36
    Yes it was that way
  • 87:36 - 87:40
    Sometimes teachers
    learn from students
  • 87:40 - 87:43
    I found out a big
    deceit by that boy
  • 87:43 - 87:45
    But I didn't punish
    him that day
  • 87:45 - 87:46
    You know why?
  • 87:46 - 87:48
    Among our students...
  • 87:48 - 87:51
    ...20% may be
    excellent in studies
  • 87:51 - 87:53
    60% may be in
    the medium range
  • 87:53 - 87:55
    The remaining 20% may be...
  • 87:55 - 87:58
    ...rogues and troublesome guys
  • 87:58 - 88:00
    But after years...
  • 88:00 - 88:04
...the first ones to come to our mind
may be the last said 20%
  • 88:04 - 88:08
    Because there may be some
    good things within them
  • 88:08 - 88:12
If we can't identify that good thing in them
and bring them to a better path
  • 88:12 - 88:14
    It's a failure on our
    pan as teachers
  • 88:15 - 88:17
    What he said to
    me on that day
  • 88:17 - 88:19
    I would compare
    with today's situation
  • 88:19 - 88:21
    Can this line
    be made smaller
  • 88:23 - 88:25
    Without erasing it?
  • 88:27 - 88:29
    Just draw a bigger
    line by its side
  • 88:30 - 88:32
    The first line would
    become smaller
  • 88:32 - 88:34
    Your present problems...
  • 88:34 - 88:36
    Pavitran, police
    and all other stuff...
  • 88:36 - 88:38
    ...are just ills like
    this small line
  • 88:39 - 88:41
    What is required now
    to make this line small
  • 88:41 - 88:43
ls to draw a big line
    of good things
  • 88:44 - 88:44
    That means
  • 88:44 - 88:48
There are just 4 months left for this
    academic year to end
  • 88:48 - 88:49
    With in this period...
  • 88:49 - 88:51
    If you and your class...
  • 88:51 - 88:55
    Can make this school
    proud in some way
  • 88:55 - 88:58
    lam sure the guy
    who impede your path...
  • 88:58 - 89:00
    ...would shut up
    and move away
  • 89:01 - 89:05
    Every year an inter school
    maths exhibition is conducted
  • 89:06 - 89:09
Until now no one from our school
has evinced any interest in this
  • 89:10 - 89:13
    Why don't you and
    your class make a try?
  • 89:13 - 89:15
We would make a try sir
  • 89:16 - 89:17
    Sir
  • 89:17 - 89:18
    Who is that brilliant
    person in my class...
  • 89:18 - 89:20
    Who taught you a lesson?
  • 89:20 - 89:23
    That...for the time bring
you need not know about it
  • 89:32 - 89:34
I just asked for the book
  • 89:49 - 89:52
    Jugru...l have told
    you many times...
  • 89:52 - 89:54
    ...not to fan in classroom
  • 89:54 - 89:56
Go man, it was not me
  • 90:01 - 90:02
    Then it might be you
  • 90:03 - 90:04
    Gosh
    It is not me
  • 90:04 - 90:06
    Might be that
    monkey Dessi Mal
  • 90:09 - 90:10
    Your grandpa
    is the monkey
  • 90:11 - 90:13
    Keep quiet man
  • 90:23 - 90:26
    - Good morning sir
    - Good morning
  • 90:34 - 90:37
When a student has a crisis...
  • 90:37 - 90:40
...the first thought comes to his mind
    must be his teacher's face!
  • 90:40 - 90:42
    Do you have a
    student like that?
  • 90:55 - 90:57
    From today
  • 90:57 - 90:59
    We will not have this
    cane in our class room
  • 91:03 - 91:04
    And no more chiding
  • 91:06 - 91:08
    If you guys want
no home work, I am for it
  • 91:09 - 91:12
    It will be a dream
    class from today
  • 91:12 - 91:13
    Has Pappan gone mad?
  • 91:16 - 91:18
    Do you believe
    I have gone mad?
  • 91:18 - 91:18
    Yes sir
  • 91:19 - 91:20
    Not mad...
  • 91:22 - 91:25
    Representing our school
    my class is going to...
  • 91:25 - 91:28
    mpanicipate in an
    inter school maths exhibition
  • 91:28 - 91:29
    It's a big competition
  • 91:29 - 91:31
    And I have taken
    It as a challenge
  • 91:32 - 91:35
    I need to prove that
    my students are the best
  • 91:35 - 91:37
    We need to win
    this competition
  • 91:37 - 91:39
    And I need is
    your support for it
  • 91:40 - 91:41
    Are you ready?
  • 91:43 - 91:45
    - Are you ready?
    - Yes sir
  • 91:46 - 91:47
    Where is the
    competition held sir?
  • 91:47 - 91:50
    Our school
    In our school itself
  • 91:50 - 91:53
    Judges would go to every
    school to every
  • 91:54 - 91:57
    Based on some
    maths related theme
  • 91:57 - 91:59
We have to arrange the exhibits
  • 92:00 - 92:01
    So first of all
  • 92:02 - 92:03
    We need a house captain
  • 92:05 - 92:08
    To become the captain of
    this maths related exhibition
  • 92:08 - 92:10
    The most eligible student
  • 92:10 - 92:11
    It's you...
  • 92:11 - 92:13
    Jugru congms
  • 92:17 - 92:19
    No...no no...
    Not him
  • 92:21 - 92:23
    You Mr.Philip
  • 92:31 - 92:33
    0k...ok listen to me
  • 92:34 - 92:36
    After seeing the method in
which Ryan does his home work...
  • 92:36 - 92:39
    I have made him the
    captain of this team
  • 92:39 - 92:42
When all of you do the home
work the way I have taught you...
  • 92:42 - 92:44
    Ryan does his home work...
    in his own way
  • 92:45 - 92:46
    A unique way
  • 92:46 - 92:48
    We should follow
    only your method
  • 92:48 - 92:49
    Mathematics as a subject...
  • 92:49 - 92:52
    ...gives us an
    universal freedom
  • 92:52 - 92:53
    What freedom?
  • 92:53 - 92:54
    Whatever be the method...
  • 92:54 - 92:56
    It's enough if the
    result is correct
  • 92:56 - 92:59
    Ryan does his home work
    in a very simple way
  • 92:59 - 93:02
I want all of you to
    learn that from him
  • 93:05 - 93:07
    The bell has rung
    and we are saved
  • 93:07 - 93:09
It is not a ring of the bell
    It's his heart beat
  • 93:14 - 93:15
    So Ryan
  • 93:15 - 93:17
    You have one week time
    to submit the theme
  • 93:17 - 93:18
    Ok
  • 93:18 - 93:21
    This devil Pappan
    will take my life out
  • 93:21 - 93:24
    He wants a theme
    for the exhibition
  • 93:24 - 93:28
From the day you started doing
my home work I am a star in school
  • 93:28 - 93:31
If I don't give the theme
    within a week...
  • 93:31 - 93:34
...the image built up by me
    would be shattered
  • 93:34 - 93:36
    This is a simple
    task for you
  • 93:36 - 93:38
    You are a magic pen
  • 93:38 - 93:45
With in seven days come out with
    a stunning theme, please...
  • 93:45 - 93:47
    Do you know with
    whom you are talking?
  • 94:12 - 94:15
    From the time
I started doing your home work
  • 94:15 - 94:18
You are having a nice time, isn't it?
  • 94:19 - 94:23
    0k...for maths exhibition...
  • 94:23 - 94:26
    I would tell you
    a good theme
  • 94:26 - 94:27
    But on one condition...!
  • 94:28 - 94:29
    What condition?
  • 94:29 - 94:33
    Monkey pen would
    give me some tasks
  • 94:33 - 94:34
    lfl carry it out perfectly
  • 94:34 - 94:36
    Monkey pen would
    tell me the theme
  • 94:36 - 94:39
    So monkey pen has also
    start giving tasks
  • 94:39 - 94:42
    What did monkey pen
    ask you to do?
  • 94:43 - 94:45
    - Good morning sir
    - Good morning sir
  • 94:45 - 94:46
    One minute
  • 94:49 - 94:51
    Good morning sir
  • 94:54 - 94:56
    Good morning
  • 94:59 - 95:01
    Was he mocking at me?
  • 95:04 - 95:05
Did you see what I did?
  • 95:05 - 95:07
    This was today's
    task given by monkey pen
  • 95:07 - 95:12
When you greet teachers, close the
eyes and greet them with folded hands
  • 95:12 - 95:16
    Gosh was it such
    a simple task
  • 95:16 - 95:18
    I thought it would
    have been a big task
  • 95:18 - 95:21
If it is a simple task
    normally we don't do it
  • 95:22 - 95:25
    Wonderful thought
    Is it yours?
  • 95:26 - 95:28
    Good afternoon
    St.Josephs HSS
  • 95:29 - 95:30
    This is Rahul
  • 95:30 - 95:32
    What I am going
    to share today...
  • 95:32 - 95:34
    ...is not Rahul's tip
  • 95:34 - 95:35
    Our school's fifth standard
    student's thought process
  • 95:35 - 95:38
    A big thought
    from a small boy
  • 95:38 - 95:40
    The boy himself is going
    to share that with you
  • 95:40 - 95:41
    Just wait
  • 95:44 - 95:45
    Hello...
  • 95:46 - 95:47
    I am Ryan...
  • 95:49 - 95:50
    Ryan Philip
  • 95:51 - 95:54
    lam studying in 5 B
  • 95:56 - 95:57
    Speak...
  • 95:58 - 95:59
    Ryan“?
  • 96:04 - 96:07
What I am going to tell you is...
  • 96:07 - 96:09
    Before you hear...
  • 96:13 - 96:17
What I am going to tell you
all of you close your eyes
  • 96:20 - 96:21
    Then...
  • 96:28 - 96:30
    Don't we greet teachers daily...?
  • 96:30 - 96:33
    Just think about
    it for a moment
  • 96:35 - 96:36
    - Good morning
    - Good morning sir
  • 96:36 - 96:39
    Good morning sir
  • 96:44 - 96:48
When we greet teachers with both
    eyes closed and folded hands...
  • 96:48 - 96:50
    If we say
    good morning respectfully
  • 96:50 - 96:51
    How would it be?
  • 96:51 - 96:55
    Just imagine an
    young kid doing this
  • 96:56 - 96:57
    Good morning teacher
  • 96:57 - 96:59
    Good morning
  • 97:00 - 97:03
    If an entire class
    greet like that
  • 97:06 - 97:08
    Good morning sir
  • 97:10 - 97:13
    If kids of an entire
    school do that way...
  • 97:13 - 97:16
    Good morning sir
  • 97:16 - 97:19
That day would be great for
the teachers and they would teach us
  • 97:19 - 97:22
    Many new things
    most lovingly
  • 97:26 - 97:27
    Keep quiet man
  • 97:32 - 97:33
    Hope you will hear...
  • 97:33 - 97:35
    ...such tips from Ryan

    tiff
  • 113:23 - 113:25
    Mathematics
    in our daily life
  • 113:25 - 113:27
    We must find out
    many things that...
  • 113:28 - 113:30
    ...relates us to
    maths in our daily life
  • 113:32 - 113:33
    That...
  • 113:34 - 113:39
Maths is the only lousy subject
    that gives daily home work
  • 113:40 - 113:43
    Not like that...
  • 113:44 - 113:45
    Now...
  • 113:46 - 113:49
    This dining table is in
    a rectangle shape
  • 113:49 - 113:51
    Don't you see
    rectangle as maths?
  • 113:53 - 113:55
    This room is cube shaped
  • 113:57 - 113:59
    Even this orange
    has some maths in it
  • 114:00 - 114:02
    It is not maths
    It's a fruit...
  • 114:02 - 114:03
    Not that...
  • 114:03 - 114:06
    This orange has 11 pieces
  • 114:06 - 114:09
    That means we can separate
    it as eleven segments
  • 114:09 - 114:11
    That's called
    fractions in mathematics
  • 114:12 - 114:16
    Juice in this glass is
    because of volume
  • 114:16 - 114:18
    That is mathematics
  • 114:18 - 114:20
    See this pen
    It's cylindrical in shape
  • 114:21 - 114:23
    Calendar is
    full of numbers
  • 114:23 - 114:25
    Without maths
    there are no numbers
  • 114:25 - 114:27
    There are no calendars
    without numbers
  • 114:27 - 114:29
    There can not be a
    day without calendar!
  • 114:30 - 114:31
    All of us said one
    thing or the other
  • 114:32 - 114:34
    Juguru only
    eating...eating...eating
  • 114:38 - 114:39
    Circle
  • 114:39 - 114:43
    I never thought maths
    would be so pervasive
  • 114:43 - 114:44
    I got an idea...
  • 114:44 - 114:47
    We start our day...
    looking at the time
  • 114:47 - 114:49
    Time is also related
    to mathematics
  • 114:49 - 114:53
    What if our first
    exhibit is a clock?
  • 114:53 - 114:54
    That's good
  • 114:54 - 114:57
    In that case we can
    do one more thing
  • 114:57 - 114:58
    What's it?
  • 114:58 - 115:00
    Come on tell...
  • 115:00 - 115:02
    My grandpa has
    an antique clock
  • 115:03 - 115:04
    Hammer Clock
  • 115:04 - 115:06
    It is a 200 plus
    year old clock
  • 115:06 - 115:09
If we get that we would surely
    win the contest
  • 115:09 - 115:12
    But I doubt if grandpa
    would give that
  • 115:12 - 115:15
    You need not have
    any doubt on that
  • 115:15 - 115:16
    I would not give...
  • 115:16 - 115:17
    Please grandpa...
  • 115:17 - 115:19
If we get this we would surely
    get to first place
  • 115:19 - 115:20
    Ryan enough
  • 115:21 - 115:24
    That clock would stop
    48 times in 24 hours
  • 115:24 - 115:26
At least let him get some...
    benefit out of it, dad
  • 115:26 - 115:29
    This clock would never
    stop working before guests
  • 115:29 - 115:33
I mean this clock has not
    embarrassed me before others
  • 115:34 - 115:38
Whatever I say now, you would think
I am lying like olden days
  • 115:38 - 115:41
    If you feel like that
    you are responsible for that
  • 115:41 - 115:44
    When I returned after spending
    months together in sea
  • 115:44 - 115:49
What ever you said lying on my chest
    I believed as truth
  • 115:50 - 115:51
    That...
  • 115:51 - 115:54
I thought instead of grieving you
    by telling the truth...
  • 115:54 - 115:56
It would be better to tell
    lies and make you happy
  • 115:57 - 116:01
    As someone said long ago
    truth is bitter dad
  • 116:01 - 116:04
    So even now you borrow
    from what someone said
  • 116:04 - 116:06
    You don't have
    anything of your own
  • 116:10 - 116:11
    sorry"
  • 116:11 - 116:12
    You own this boy
  • 116:13 - 116:16
    Does he lie to you?
  • 116:23 - 116:25
    - What's it?
    - Where are you?
  • 116:25 - 116:26
    What is it?
  • 116:27 - 116:30
    - Will you be late?
    - Tell me what's it?
  • 116:30 - 116:32
    Guess what?
I am making your favourite dish
  • 116:35 - 116:36
    Hello...
  • 116:45 - 116:47
    When Ryan comes...
  • 116:47 - 116:51
even If you feel truth is bitter
    you must tell him...
  • 116:51 - 116:53
    Truth is never bitter
  • 116:54 - 116:57
    Lies appear mellifluent to us
  • 118:03 - 118:05
    Thank you sir
    Thank you so much
  • 118:07 - 118:08
    What man...!
  • 118:08 - 118:12
    Those who ridiculed
    are now jealous of us
  • 118:13 - 118:15
    Don't be too excited
  • 118:15 - 118:16
    Let's wait for the result
  • 118:17 - 118:19
lam sure my boys would win
  • 118:19 - 118:20
    Once the results are out...
  • 118:20 - 118:22
    I want to give them
    a grand treat
  • 118:56 - 118:57
    Listen kids...
  • 119:02 - 119:05
    Do you all know...
    why this treat is given?
  • 119:05 - 119:08
    The exhibition results
    might have come
  • 119:09 - 119:12
    Yes...exhibition
    results have come
  • 119:16 - 119:20
All of you tried your best
  • 119:21 - 119:26
    But the winner is
    another school
  • 119:32 - 119:34
    Why are you all sad?
  • 119:36 - 119:39
    Failures are to
    be celebrated
  • 119:40 - 119:42
    We should celebrate
    our failures...
  • 119:42 - 119:46
    Because failures are the
    stepping stone towards success
  • 119:50 - 119:52
    Captain...what happened?
  • 119:54 - 119:55
    Never mind
  • 119:55 - 119:57
    There will be
    competitions again
  • 119:58 - 120:00
    You are a captain...
    You have to be strong
  • 120:00 - 120:02
    Sir everyone
    would mock at you
  • 120:02 - 120:05
    - I know...
    - What is this?
  • 120:05 - 120:06
    It's because of me...
  • 120:07 - 120:09
    Sir...because of me
    police...
  • 120:22 - 120:24
    Let people mock at me
  • 120:25 - 120:27
Even if I have to leave
    the school on that score
  • 120:28 - 120:29
    I would leave happily
  • 120:30 - 120:32
    There are 35 students
in this school who love me
  • 120:32 - 120:34
    I would leave
    with that happiness
  • 120:37 - 120:41
    Oh...we lost one
    from the 35
  • 120:41 - 120:42
    Isn't it?
  • 121:50 - 121:51
    Nothing to worry
  • 121:51 - 121:53
    What happened?
  • 121:53 - 121:54
    The young brigade wanted...
  • 121:54 - 121:56
    ...to loiter around
    without anybody's notice
  • 121:59 - 122:02
    Ryan's cycle toppled
    and his hand was pierced...
  • 122:02 - 122:03
    ...by a rod lying nearby
  • 122:03 - 122:05
    They were scared
    when they called me
  • 122:05 - 122:06
    Then I brought them here
  • 122:06 - 122:08
    Madam is a doctor here
  • 122:08 - 122:10
    Don't worry...he is ok
  • 122:10 - 122:11
    Fortunately nothing happened
  • 122:11 - 122:12
    There was little blood loss
    That's all
  • 122:12 - 122:14
    He is on sedation now
  • 123:27 - 123:29
    Mom, where is dad?
  • 123:29 - 123:30
    Today is the PTA meeting
    of your school
  • 123:30 - 123:32
    He might have gone there
  • 123:33 - 123:35
    Ryanu come...
  • 123:39 - 123:40
    Go...
  • 124:38 - 124:40
    'Let people mock at me'
  • 124:41 - 124:44
'Even if I have to leave
    the school on that score'
  • 124:44 - 124:46
    'I would leave happily'
  • 124:46 - 124:48
    'There are 35 students
in this school who love me'
  • 124:48 - 124:50
    'I would leave
    with that happiness'
  • 124:53 - 124:58
    'oh...we lost one from
    the 35 isn't it?'
  • 126:58 - 127:01
    Daily out in the
    streets one can see...
  • 127:01 - 127:09
    ...vehicles darting brimmed
    with suffocating students
  • 127:09 - 127:11
    An action against
    this is not to be...
  • 127:11 - 127:13
    ...initiated by police
    authorities or government
  • 127:14 - 127:16
    It's for the parents
    and teachers to act
  • 127:17 - 127:20
    On pretext of want of
    time and busy schedule...
  • 127:20 - 127:25
    ...parents and teachers
    allow their wards...
  • 127:25 - 127:28
    ...to travel in such vehicles
    must remember one thing
  • 127:29 - 127:32
    What we lose is the...
  • 127:32 - 127:36
    ...dreams and ambitions
    of kids like Juan
  • 127:36 - 127:39
    More than that your
    expectations are lost
  • 127:53 - 127:56
We didn't pay attention to this
  • 127:56 - 127:58
    Now this was
    brought to our notice...
  • 127:58 - 128:03
    ...through some posters
    that appeared in Juan's name
  • 128:04 - 128:06
    Whoever did that...
  • 128:06 - 128:10
    I Pray God to bless
    that good soul
  • 128:41 - 128:44
    For better frying add
    some more coconut oil
  • 128:44 - 128:44
    Cut it
  • 128:44 - 128:46
    Where is he?
    Is he at home?
  • 128:46 - 128:48
    - He is at beach
    - Is it?
  • 128:49 - 128:51
    Brother...bike is in field...
    Please move it little away
  • 128:51 - 128:52
    - Sorry
    - Ready?
  • 128:52 - 128:53
    One minute
  • 128:56 - 128:57
    - 0k, start
    - Ok
  • 128:57 - 128:58
    0k thus...
  • 129:15 - 129:18
    Everyone talks very high
    about you in school
  • 129:18 - 129:20
    You do home work nicely
  • 129:20 - 129:22
    You study well
  • 129:23 - 129:26
    Maths teacher said...
    you would score full marks
  • 129:28 - 129:29
    Look at me...
  • 129:31 - 129:33
    Are you doing any deceit...?
  • 129:33 - 129:36
    No dad...it's because
    I study well
  • 129:42 - 129:44
    Your grandpa
    would always tell me
  • 129:45 - 129:49
if truth is bitter to you
    that means you are lying
  • 129:50 - 129:53
    Truly speaking...
    truth is not bitter
  • 129:53 - 129:57
    Truth is mellifluent
    So we feel so
  • 130:02 - 130:06
    Long ago
    I was also like you...
  • 130:06 - 130:08
    I won't do home works
    would get whacks from teacher
  • 130:09 - 130:12
    ...seeing that my friend
would do home works for me
  • 130:12 - 130:15
    Finally at the
    exams he got pass
  • 130:15 - 130:17
    And I failed
  • 130:17 - 130:19
    I made everyone

  • 130:22 - 130:28
    There is value only for
    our own efforts my son
