For me, you have a really
unique, husky, raspy,

beautiful voice,

but I wanted to hear, like,

what else could happen
in your voice.

rock-'n'-roll tune more reggae.

That was cool.

And I was like,
"I got to press for this guy."

And that last note showed me
that it wasn't just a gimmick.

You have chops, as well.

This guy's voice
sounds so raspy,

like he gargled with
broken glass or something.

The thing that was throwing me
a little bit

was, when you were singing
the word "Roxanne,"

you were hitting, like,
a jazz-sounding note.

And finally, by the end
of the song, I was like,

"This is --
This is incredible."

I don't know

I hope that it's me 'cause
you're gonna bring an element

I think we need.

Who would you say your biggest
influences are, musically?

I grew up listening to
John Lee Hooker, B.B. King,

but Mom was always playing
Joni Mitchell in the house.

-Yes.

And then there was hip-hop
and gangsta rap,

so I never
really knew genre.

I think that musically,
we get along.

You may be wondering
how I can help you,

in the reggae/ska world
