Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

My name is Denie Villeneuve

I'm the director of Blade Runner 2049.

I decided to ask a couple of artists

that I respect to create 3 short stories

that dramatise some key events
that occured after 2019,

when the first Blade Runner takes place,

but before 2049 when my new
Blade Runner story begins.

My friend Luke Scott has directed this
short film you're about to see.
