-
hello everyone, I'm Wang Gang
-
In this video I share with you a
homely dish
-
Chopped chilli pepper tofu
-
First we prepare good amount of cabbage
-
chop into thin slices and put in the
bottom of the plate
-
cabbage can be substituted with glass
noodles or string mushrooms
-
prepare old tofu 500g
-
slice tofu into evenly sized strips
and set aside
-
old tofu can be substituted with
fresh tofu or lactone tofu
-
or Japanese tofu (egg tofu)
-
next step, mix chopped chilli pepper sauce
-
prepare 30g garlic, finely chopped, set aside
-
add chopped chilli sauce 50g
-
add small amount of sugar
-
add chicken extract 1g
-
soy sauce 10g
-
oyster sauce 3g
-
some vegetable oil, mix well
-
the reason for the oil is to keep the tofu soft
-
and the keep the cabbage cooking time short
-
pour the mixture on the tofu evenly
-
next step, steaming
-
put the tofu into the steaming pot
after boiling
-
medium heat, 6 minutes
-
with family stove, it will need >8 minutes
-
here we want the cabbage and tofu
thoroughly cooked
-
take the tofu out after 6 minutes
-
pour the excessive broth out
set aside for later use
-
pour the broth back into the pot
-
add dark soy sauce to add color
-
add starch after boiling
-
add onion oil to the broth
-
pour the cooked broth on top
of the tofu
-
super awesome chili pepper tofu is done
-
techniques to be noted for this dish
-
first, there's no restriction for the type of tofu
-
second, no harm for a little bit more soy
sauce in the chili broth
-
third, no need for extra salt for
the chilli broth in the end
-
the saltiness of the chili sauce is enough
