  • 0:14 - 0:19
Hi, I live in Covent Garden, a busy and exciting part of London.
  • 0:19 - 0:23
My flat is small but I like living here because it is near the river
  • 0:23 - 0:25
and there are lots of shops and cafes.
  • 0:25 - 0:27
    Where do you live?
  • 0:27 - 0:28

    I live in north London.
  • 0:28 - 0:31

I live in Shoreditch which is in east London
  • 0:31 - 0:35

I live in west Berlin but it’s kind of in the centre of Berlin.
  • 0:35 - 0:37

I live in south London in Camberwell.
  • 0:37 - 0:39

I live in Notting Hill, actually.
  • 0:39 - 0:41

East Sussex, right on the coast.
  • 0:41 - 0:44

I live in East Finchley, which is in London.
  • 0:44 - 0:45

    I’m from Brisbane in Australia.
  • 0:45 - 0:48

I live in Bloomsbury in central London.
  • 0:48 - 0:56

I live in the suburbs, it’s about 10 kilometres from the city, it’s very leafy, lots of trees.
  • 0:58 - 1:00

Do you live in a house or a flat?
  • 1:00 - 1:03

I live in a brick-built house, three bedrooms.
  • 1:03 - 1:04

    I live in a flat.
  • 1:04 - 1:06

    I live in a flat.
  • 1:06 - 1:11

It’s a white house, it’s at the end of a little street that's just off one of the
  • 1:11 - 1:13

main roads, and it’s quite quiet.
  • 1:13 - 1:15

    It’s a one-bedroomed flat.
  • 1:15 - 1:18

I live in a house a four-bedroomed house with four other people.
  • 1:18 - 1:19

    In a house.
  • 1:19 - 1:28

It’s a modern space, it’s one-bedroomed and quite small but it’s very nice.
  • 1:29 - 1:33

What do you like about where you live?
  • 1:33 - 1:36

I like the garden, we’ve got a garden and we have barbecues there, I think that’s good.
  • 1:36 - 1:40

I can catch a bus from anywhere, come home and I feel comfortable walking
  • 1:40 - 1:43

home at twelve, one o’clock at night because there are so many people around.
  • 1:43 - 1:46

It’s only just two flats in the building, so I only have one neighbour who is
  • 1:46 - 1:53

very sweet and fun as well, so I don’t have too many neighbours to worry about.
  • 1:53 - 1:57

We have parks, we have restaurants,
  • 1:57 - 2:01

French restaurants, Italian restaurants, we have a local church.
  • 2:01 - 2:05

It looks out over a small valley, that’s just in our suburb, so you can see all
  • 2:05 - 2:07

the houses around and the trees.
  • 2:07 - 2:14

I’m close to the museums, universities, teaching hospitals,it’s easy to get
  • 2:14 - 2:19

about because there are many underground stationsand it’s very friendly.
  • 2:19 - 2:23

Everyone says hello in the morning and good evening in the afternoon and it’s
  • 2:23 - 2:26

    a pleasant place to live.
  • 2:27 - 2:30

What don’t you like about where you live?
  • 2:30 - 2:32

What I don’t like about it is that at times I have to get on the northern line of
  • 2:32 - 2:35

the tube and it takes me fifty minutes to get to work.
  • 2:35 - 2:38

It’s quite noisy on the streets, I think.
  • 2:38 - 2:43

Well it’s quite crowded and there’s quite a lot of rubbish on the streets.
  • 2:43 - 2:47

There’s too many cars and not enough places for children to play.
  • 2:47 - 2:49

    It’s always busy.
  • 2:49 - 2:52

There isn’t actually anything I don’t like, I really like it there.
  • 2:52 - 2:57

Sometimes because it’s in the middle of a city it can be very dusty and polluted.
  • 2:57 - 3:00

It’s nowhere near a tube station and I have to get the bus all the time.
