-
This week, we have a theme of rest.
-
This is very important theme for me.
-
And I want to bring this theme almost the last because this one can, after you practice, you know how to take care of yourself.
-
You know how to be coming back to your self and to take care of yourself.
-
And then you can learn how to rest.
-
So how to rest is very important to take care of your body and your mind.
-
Sometimes we don't know how to rest.
-
Okay? We have too much stress and too much going on.
-
Mental discourse in our head.
-
We have so much planning.
-
Thinking.
-
Thinking all the time.
-
Monkey's mind.
-
And this kind of thinking pulls you away from your presence.
-
You presence for the body, your presence for your health, presence for your family.
-
Sometimes, like so many things going on and you cannot rest.
-
So resting and relaxing is most important in this exercise.
-
Know how to rest.
-
Know how to relax.
-
These are arts, ok?
-
The art of loving your body.
-
You love your body, but you don't know how to relax.
-
You don't know how to be truly present for your body.
-
By that, you're not truly loving your body.
-
So be present.
-
Truly there.
-
Know how much is too much for you?
-
The body.
-
Too much work today, too much thinking today.
-
You feel so stressful.
-
So you may stop.
-
Sit down to breathe in and out.
-
To lie down, to do some massage.
-
To let your self rest.
-
Okay?
-
Because you know the nature of breathing of all the animals.
-
They practice better than us.
-
All the animals, when they get wounded, they stop searching for food.
-
They stop chasing for the other animals or food, and they just go into quiet place in the forest, on a mountain, in a cave.
-
And lying down.
-
And rest, and sleep for many days.
-
That wound healed itself quickly.
-
Very naturally.
-
But our human's mind is usually struggling a lot about this.
-
We know that we need to heal.
-
We need to rest.
-
But we don't know how to rest.
-
We're still running, we're still struggling a lot.
-
So just allow yourself to have a time
-
to massage, to do some simple movement,
-
to lie down, to sit, to rest,
-
to allow yourself to breathe in and out, in mindfulness,
-
in a loving way
-
with peace and joy,
-
but also allow yourself to rest and to do nothing.
-
Okay?
-
So that is the thing we do this morning.
-
And as long as you have relaxing and resting in yourself,
-
you get the healing energy very quickly and happily.
-
Okay?
-
As long as you relax, and then you can heal.
-
When you rest, you can heal.
-
Look like animals.
-
They go to a forest, they lie out, they rest, they do nothing.
-
And the wounds in the body of animals, they heal themselves, but they don't get any medicine, you know.
-
Or animals, they get wounded, they don't drink medicine.
-
They don't have health like us, (they) know what to take care of themselves.
-
They themselves are taking care of themselves.
-
That's why they just have a...
-
find their own way to rest, to lie down, to relax and rest.
-
So I think this is the art.
-
This is the way that we can learn to do qigong every day.
-
And that's why you see every routine,
-
we have a time to lie down, to relax.
-
But especially today, we can do deeper to...
-
into the resting and relaxing movements.
-
Okay.
