TEENS REACT TO THEIR AUDITION FOR TEENS REACT #2

- (FBE) So today, you're going
to be reacting to yourself.

- No!

No-ho-ho!

- I thought I was avoiding this.

[Bleep]!

I thought I got away with it, too.

- I saw the video of someone
doing this before,

and I was like,
"Thank God I wasn't in that,"

and now-- oh my gosh, no!

- (FBE) Today,
you are going to be reacting

to your audition for Teens React.

- I don't remember this for a reason.

- I was scared.
I was so nervous!

I don't want to watch this.

It wasn't too long ago,
but at the same time,

I've become a very different person.

- Yep.

- (Nora) This guy put
a lot of work into editing this.

Wow.
- I don't like this.

- (FBE) How are you feeling right now?

- Really awkward and uncomfortable,
which I probably will be

watching this episode of me
reacting to myself.

- (Nora sighing) No.
- (giggling)

- (Nora) I really don't like
One Direction.

- (laughing softly)

I was, like, the cool girl
that didn't like One Direction.

I still don't, but not... (sighing)

- (Nora groaning)
Do I have to watch this?

- (laughing) Oh my gosh.
Yeah, you do.

I have to watch this.

- (FBE) Can you sing any
of it back to us?

- (Nora) ♪ Crazy,
crazy, crazy til we see... ♪

- I did this? No!

(laughing)

- (FBE chuckling)
- Okay.

I think that's the point
where I gave up.

Right before then, I was like,
never getting invited back here,

so what the hell?

- (Nora) I'm more
into Linkin Park or Eminem or...

- Oh my gosh!
- (Nora) ...Lana Del Rey.

- Still true, all true.

Um, I have my Linkin Park shirt
with me, actually.

- (FBE) Do you hope
One Direction lasts?

- (Nora) No.
- (FBE) Why not?

- (Nora) That's really mean, but...
I want them to be successful.

I don't wish for them to--
- See, I'm not mean.

I'm just opinionated.

I can't believe you guys
put that on the internet forever now.

- (Carson) Did you get my good side?
- Argh!

- (FBE) Here we go.
- No!

What are you doing?
What are you doing?

What are you wearing?

- (Carson) That's not too weird.
I probably would do that to myself.

- Stop moving.
Stop with the smirk!

It's so cringing!

Am I the same?

I'm probably-- I hope not.

- (Carson chuckling)

- What? Argh!

(screaming) Why?!

- (Carson) They
were funny, definitely.

It's just-- (stammering)
if I got a friend to do that with me,

I would totally do it.
- I'd probably still do that.

But still-- but...
- (Carson) You know.

- (FBE laughing)
- (groaning loudly)

- (FBE) You're all done.
Great job!

- (Carson) Okay.
- What are you--?

Stop moving!

Stop moving!

I couldn't stop moving.

I was extremely nervous.

I was like...

I did well. I'm here.

I mean, now, like,
a year and a half later.

I've changed a lot.

- (FBE) What's some
YouTube channels you like?

- (Daniel) Um, The Fine Brothers
is definitely one of them.

- (groaning) I'm mildly impressed.

I don't know if my voice has changed.

I don't think it has.

- (Daniel) I used
to be really into PewDiePie--

- Oh, I'm so chubby!

- (Daniel) I don't mean
to sound like a hipster,

but I don't like to be everything
that's so super mainstream.

- I was an edgy teen. (laughing)

Oh, wow.

You know, I don't think
it's that different

from what I would say today.

- (FBE) You don't seem nervous
at all in this video.

Were you not nervous?

- In my head, I was screaming,
but I guess I seem all right.

- (Daniel chuckling)
Yeah, I know this guy.

- Guess I remembered him.

Um, I had a problem
with enunciation and still do.

It's gotten a little bit
better since then.

Not too much.

I'm surprised.

I'm really surprised right now.

I'm still levelheaded.

- (Daniel) He's got his dad,
who can dance way better than my dad.

- You know, my dad's
an all right dancer,

but yes, that guy--
I'm just still in shock!

My commentary is so almost the same.

I just feel like I'm
a little bit louder now,

and maybe perhaps
a little more vulgar.

- (Daniel) I already get enough
of this at my school.

- Oh, here's the One Direction video.

- This is... (mumbling)

- (exhaling) My heart's
still pounding, man.

This is-- it doesn't feel
like it was that long ago,

but it was.

It was almost three years ago.

I didn't think it
would go as far as it did.

I'm still surprised to this day.

- (Daniel) There's girls at my school
who bring speakers

just to blast this.

It's terrible.

- It is terrible.

I think One Direction is garbage,
so my music taste

hasn't changed that much.

- (FBE) Can you sing back
any of it for us?

- No.

- (Daniel) I have
a little bit of sense of pride left.

(laughing)
- I still have it!

(laughing) My little sense of pride.

- (FBE) All right,
Daniel, we're all done.

- (Daniel) Awesome.
- I was so levelheaded.

Wow. I remember
being scared shitless.

I remember in high school
I would daydream

about being on this show,
and then I am on this show,

so that was a very surreal experience.

And then I was also told
I was one of 60 kids auditioning,

and I was like, "[Bleep],
there's no way in hell

I'm getting this part."

These 60 other kids
are gonna be 60 people

who are better than me.

- (FBE) So why did you want to be
on the show in the first place?

- (laughing) I actually
really didn't think it through.

I know that-- I kind
of just applied and got it

and I was like, "Whoa,
I have to do this."

I was like, "Okay,
how about I email them?"

I got, "Hey, here's your audition.

Fill out this application."

I remember that
I spent so much time on it.

I'm kind of quiet.
I'm a quiet person normally,

so every time someone who knows me
finds out I'm on the show,

they're like, (taken aback)
"What? You?"

I think it's really important to give
people my age voice in the world

because we tend
to sort of brush over us

and, like, "Oh, they're kids.
They're millennials.

They don't know what they're saying."

Like, yeah, we kinda do.
We do live here

and we should have a voice.

- I first started
with YouTubers React,

then I started watching
Teens and Kids

and I was like, "I wonder one day
if I could do that."

And then not too long later,
you guys posted on Instagram saying,

"Teens wanted."

I'm like, I could do that.

I combed my hair,
I made sure to look nice,

even though I looked
really curly and bad.

Then a couple days later, I got,
"Hey, show me a video,"

and it was Civil War,
which is just as bad.

I still feel like I'm the new guy.

It's been a great journey
and I've enjoyed every bit of it.

- It asked for your name,
your location, and your age.

I was 15 at the time.

So that was late May.

I didn't hear back
until early September.

So at that point,
it had totally slipped in my mind.

I didn't think anything
was gonna happen,

and then they're like, "Hey,
we want you to do a screen test."

I was like, "Holy shit, mom.
We gotta go!"

I never thought much
about this wall before

until I was there for the first time
because you can't see

anything outside
of this box of YouTube.

I was like, "Oh my god, it's all here!

It's all in one room.
What the hell?!"

There's very few places in life
where you can have

your voice heard
by millions of people,

and the fact that
this show is so much fun,

it's just a combination
of two of those things,

it was just like-- it's a dream.

- (FBE) So finally,
what would you want to say

to anyone who is interested
in becoming a part of this show?

What would be your advice to them?

- Don't hesitate!

Just click-- email them.

- Don't be scared to give your opinion
because this is kind of overwhelming,

being in here, and you're going to try
to sort of stay in your shell

and your bubble and I think my advice
is to get out of that

and get out of your comfort zone.

You're already here
and you might as well use

this platform to show
the world what you think.

I think it's amazing to have this,
and it's amazing

to have this opportunity.

You shouldn't waste it.
