People vs Food #46 - TEENS vs FOOD - PICKLED PIG'S FEET

♪ (French accordion music) ♪

- (FBE) So today you'll be eating this.

- Oh, please don't be disgusting.

Oh! What the?

- I'm ready for...

(gasps) Nope.

- Is it a pepper? What is that?

- Is it a vegetable?

This one right here
kinda looks like a heart.

- That's organs. That's definitely
organs. They're not-- ugh.

- Ew, there's, like, guts floating around.

This is like a crime scene
just came to me and said,

"Hi, you're gonna get
arrested for having this."

- It honestly looks like pigs' feet.

I'm a little scared.

- I don't know what the hell
this is, but it looks nasty.

Wait, is it pigs' feet?

This one right here kinda
looks like a pigs' foot.

- Yeah, that's pigs' feet.

You can see the foot clearly right there.

When I saw it at first glance,

I thought it was just
cut-up peppers and juice.

I guess I'm trying pigs' feet.

- (FBE) Now you get to try it.

- Is this lobster? This isn't lobster.

(whimpering in disgust) It's so slimy!

- Ugh, that's ripe.

Oh, this is gonna be a fun day.

- It literally looks like skin.

It looks like I'm about
to go cannibal right now.

- (giggling)

Mm-mm.

Tastes like meat.

It's just, like, slimy.

- That is a pigs' foot, isn't it?

Aw, and it's leaking. Ew!

I think I touched some bone
or something. That's definitely bone.

Dude! Ew! This is weird.

What I signed up for.

(grumbles)

Ugh! Oh my god, dude! What the--

Oh!

They were so gross.

- It's very vinegary.

It's okay. It's pretty squishy
and slimy and bitter.

I can't believe I thought
this was a vegetable.

- I want to get to where
there's actually meat

and not all fat and skin.

[Bleep] it.

Ugh! (grumbling)

I feel like I just drank a cup of vinegar.

(retches)

- This is so weird-looking.
It looks like a heart.

That's weird.

It's definitely not good,
but it's not really that bad.

Kinda tastes a little bit like vinegar.

- Oh, there's a bone.

(gasps) It's pigs' feet. Oh.
I figured it out. It's pigs' feet.

Ugh, I'm delaying this as much as I can.

Oh, it's not good texture.

(gags)

Uh-uh.

My whole mouth just tastes like vinegar.

- (quietly) Maybe it's sushi.
It could be a fish.

It could be a fish.
That's definitely not a fish.

It's just some chicken.
Just a fish, just some fish.

Ugh. It tastes salty and-- blech!

It's really sour and bitter.

- I'm doing this. Okay.

That was vinegary.

Oh-oh-oh-oh. I have the heebie-jeebies.

- It still looks like a heart to me.
It's freaking me out.

- Do I even want to know what this is?

- (FBE) You just ate pickled pigs' feet.

- This is a foot from a pig.

- I'm very disturbed right now.

- Ugh, feet freak me out.
Oh, that's a foot.

That's a toenail!

- (FBE) Pickled pigs' feet
are made by sitting them

in a salt rub for a few
hours, boiling them,

then sitting them for a week in a brine

made of vinegar, pickle juice, and spices.

- Well, I don't taste spices.
I tasted vinegar and brine.

- I don't know who came up with that.

That doesn't even sound appealing.

- You can eat anything off
a pig. That's gross. I hate this.

- I feel like it'd be better fried.

I mean, I'm American,
so everything's better fried.

- I can't really imagine
anyone seeing this and be like,

"Oh yeah, let me go get
some pickled pigs' foot."

It's a little gross.

- (FBE) Do you recommend
people try pickled pigs' feet?

- I do not recommend it.

- Not really. It's not that good.

- No.

- I recommend you try it.
Will you like it? Probably not.

- Nah.

- I do not recommend this.

- Try it so you can say
that you've tried it.

Now I can say, "Yeah,
I've had pickled pigs' feet."

- No. Stay as far away as you can.

I've lived my whole life staying
as far as away from this

as I possibly could.
It was great up until now.
