2 lesson - Religion or Jesus - The Pioneer School

  • 0:00 - 0:03
    Welcome to this second teaching
    in our online Bible school.

  • 0:03 - 0:08
Today I’m going to talk about religion
contrary to what Jesus came with.
  • 0:08 - 0:10
Much of what we are still doing today in
  • 0:10 - 0:13
our churches has more to do with religion,
  • 0:13 - 0:17
than it has to do with what Jesus
    was teaching and came with.
  • 0:17 - 0:24
    Today Sunday after Sunday many
christians dress up to go to a holy place,
  • 0:24 - 0:29
to a church, to do church activities.
And you also see that in other religions,
  • 0:29 - 0:36
people are dressing up and go to
a special place to do religious activities.
  • 0:36 - 0:42
But Jesus didn’t come with that.
He came to build a new body, you and me.
  • 0:42 - 0:44
We who today belongs to Jesus,
    we are the temples.
  • 0:44 - 0:48
We are filled with the Holy Spirit,
    we are all priests.
  • 0:48 - 0:55
And we are anointed by Him and He
wants to be a part of our everyday life.
  • 0:55 - 0:57
You are going to see that in this teaching.

  • 0:57 - 1:02
And i believe that this teaching
is going to help you and set you free
  • 1:02 - 1:06
to come into the life we read
about in the book of Acts, God bless you.
  • 1:50 - 1:54
Yea hello again, it's good to be with you,
    this is the second teaching.
  • 1:54 - 1:57
    In our online Bible school,
    The Pioneer School.
  • 1:57 - 2:00
I really look forward to be
    together with you again.
  • 2:00 - 2:07
The last time I took you through some
church history, as you can see behind me.
  • 2:07 - 2:10
And I got a really good
    response out of it.

  • 2:10 - 2:13
    Many, many people have
    contacted me and said :
  • 2:13 - 2:15
    It has been
    revolutionary for them,
  • 2:15 - 2:19
    It has somehow confirmed things,
that they have had in their hearts.
  • 2:19 - 2:23
But it was not easy for them
to see exactly what was wrong.
  • 2:23 - 2:26
    But the Holy Spirit had
    been dealing with them.
  • 2:26 - 2:31
And during the teaching last time it was like,
    Now I understand it!
  • 2:31 - 2:36
And this is often the response I get also
from my book The Last Reformation.
  • 2:36 - 2:39
Because when people read my book
( or listen to the teaching. )
  • 2:39 - 2:43
    Many are amazed, wow!
This is what I have in my heart.
  • 2:43 - 2:45
    I've been asking this question
    over and over again.
  • 2:45 - 2:47
And i have been walking with
    this for many years.
  • 2:47 - 2:53
And now I suddenly understand it.
and this is the response. Why?
  • 2:53 - 2:58
Because this is God who is building.
    Jesus is building His church.
  • 2:58 - 3:03
So Jesus is already now working in
many people all over the world.
  • 3:03 - 3:08
I believe we are standing in front of
    the last reformation.
  • 3:08 - 3:12
We are soon going to see that this
is going to explode all over the world.
  • 3:12 - 3:16
    Because God has been
    working throughout history.
  • 3:16 - 3:19
As I told you last time and
    He is still working today.
  • 3:19 - 3:24
And if you want to somehow help
with this then spread the word.
  • 3:24 - 3:28
Let this teaching out, talk to people
    about : The Pioneer School.
  • 3:28 - 3:33
And let many people join and
let’s see this happen right now.
  • 3:33 - 3:41
Let’s see that people will again
    start to get on fire,
  • 3:41 - 3:46
and live the life we read about in the Bible.
  • 3:46 - 3:49
Many people are dying today inside
    the boxes; inside the churches.
  • 3:49 - 3:53
People ask me, "Torben why do you do this? Why do you
want the reformation of the church?"
  • 3:53 - 3:59
I want it because Jesus wants it,
I want it because this is on Jesus's heart,
  • 3:59 - 4:04
and I also want it because Jesus has called us to
    make disciples.
  • 4:04 - 4:11
I can see that the system, the way we do
it now, is not effective in making disciples.
  • 4:11 - 4:16
People have been sitting in church for many
years but still don’t know how to serve God.
  • 4:16 - 4:21
They don’t know how to heal the sick,
    cast out demons,
  • 4:21 - 4:24
or lead people to Christ. Many don’t know
how to serve inside the box.
  • 4:24 - 4:30
They just sit and watch other people do it, and
    are slowly dying spiritually,
  • 4:30 - 4:36
because everyone of us are called to serve God,
every one, of us are called to be used by God.
  • 4:36 - 4:47
If we just sit and listen and don’t do anything
the life is slowly going out of us.
  • 4:47 - 4:55
We need a reformation because so many
people have once been on fire for God.
  • 4:55 - 5:00
But now they are dying spiritually and
many have died and fallen away already.
  • 5:00 - 5:02
We talk about that we should not fall away.
  • 5:02 - 5:04
But to fall away from God
is not to leave the church,
  • 5:04 - 5:13
to fall away from God is
    to leave your first love.
  • 5:13 - 5:17
So you an still continue in the church,
you can still raise your hands,
  • 5:17 - 5:27
you can still do the things you have done for many years.
But if the love for God is gone,
  • 5:27 - 5:30
the first love for praying, the first love
    for the word of God,
  • 5:30 - 5:33
    if that is gone,
    then you have fallen away.
  • 5:33 - 5:44
I am doing this teaching now because we see so
many people who have fallen away somehow.
  • 5:44 - 5:46
They go to church but they
    have died spiritually.
  • 5:46 - 5:48
But when we somehow start to work with
    them and train them,
  • 5:48 - 5:49
    the fire comes again.
    Just before this teaching,
  • 5:49 - 5:54
    I wrote with
    somebody on Facebook,
  • 5:54 - 5:57
a guy from Denmark. I had not met
him personally, but I trained somebody,
  • 5:57 - 6:00
who I took out into the street, and
    that person trained somebody else,
  • 6:00 - 6:03
And that person trained somebody else,
    who then trained him.
  • 6:03 - 6:10
I got in contact with him because
    his life was totally changed!
  • 6:10 - 6:20
His testimony is that he had been sitting
in a church for many years.
  • 6:20 - 6:25
    He came on Wednesdays,
    and on Sundays.
  • 6:25 - 6:32
He read his Bible maybe two times a year.
Then suddenly, a reformation started in him,
  • 6:32 - 6:36
suddenly he saw he could do something!
He went out on the street,
  • 6:36 - 6:39
he learned to heal the sick and it
    changed something inside of him.
  • 6:39 - 6:48
Now his life is totally changed.
He is seeing miracles every day now.
  • 6:48 - 6:53
    and it’s not only miracles
    out on the street.
  • 6:53 - 6:58
It has changed his personal life with God.
He wrote to me that for the many years
  • 6:59 - 7:07
he had only cried a few times
    because he could not cry.
  • 7:07 - 7:13
Only when his mother or other family
    members died that he cried.
  • 7:13 - 7:16
But two weeks after he got
started he is crying all the time.
  • 7:16 - 7:22
And he is crying while reading the Bible.
He is reading the BIble every day now.
  • 7:22 - 7:28
He is praying all the time now and he is crying.
People around him are in shock,
  • 7:28 - 7:32
and he is now telling his
    testimony in the church
  • 7:32 - 7:35
and he is going to take other people out
on the street today and tomorrow.
  • 7:35 - 7:37
He is going to take the pastor
with him out on the street.
  • 7:37 - 7:44
    Somehow what happened with him
    is changing the whole church.
  • 7:44 - 7:47
    Because suddenly the fire
    came inside the church,
  • 7:47 - 7:50
    and people saw that we
    they can do something.
  • 7:50 - 7:56
People saw that we don’t have
to wait, we already have it,
  • 7:56 - 8:02
we just have to go out, this is his testimony.
But the one who trained him
  • 8:02 - 8:06
who had been trained by a friend,
    her testimony is the same.
  • 8:06 - 8:09
She also went to church many years,
    but she was spiritually dead,
  • 8:09 - 8:11
there was no more life, suddenly she
went out and she got trained
  • 8:11 - 8:14
and saw that Jesus could work with her.
Since last month she has led people to Christ,
  • 8:14 - 8:18
she had baptized people with the Holy Spirit,
and in water, and her life is totally changed.
  • 8:18 - 8:25
And what I see there is that both people tell me
the same thing that people around them now say :
  • 8:25 - 8:32
    "What has happened with you?
Tell me what is happening with you?"
  • 8:32 - 8:36
These is people who are not
    non-Christian people,
  • 8:36 - 8:39
this is not people with a non christian
    background whose are saying :
  • 8:39 - 8:46
    "What has happened with you."
    No, these are Christians,
  • 8:46 - 8:51
who have been sitting in a
    church for many years.
  • 8:51 - 8:57
But the other people in the church
are asking, : "What is happening? I want this."
  • 8:57 - 9:03
And suddenly they see that they have
fallen away from their first love.
  • 9:03 - 9:11
Now the light is coming in
and the darkness is going away.
  • 9:11 - 9:14
So what we see now is that
    this testimony is spreading.
  • 9:14 - 9:19
We are not talking only about me, like when
    I got saved from a non-Christian background,
  • 9:19 - 9:24
But when the life suddenly comes,
    maybe for the first time,
  • 9:24 - 9:27
    everybody was saying :
    "What is happening with you?"
  • 9:27 - 9:30
No, we are talking about people who are already
going to church and have been there many years.
  • 9:30 - 9:36
This time, it is so strong, so radical, that
everybody around them is saying :
  • 9:36 - 9:40
    "What is happening with you?"
Yes, this is what we are seeing now.
  • 9:40 - 9:44
    I got a prophetic word
    some years ago,
  • 9:44 - 9:51
where somebody saw a big barrel
plus a lot of fire inside
  • 9:51 - 9:54
but there came a lid over that fire
and the fire slowly died out.
  • 9:54 - 9:57
But then I went away and I took it of
and suddenly the fire came up again.
  • 9:57 - 10:03
I think it is a good picture
    of what God is doing,
  • 10:03 - 10:06
when we change some of the
    things I’m talking about here,
  • 10:06 - 10:09
you will see that a fire is
    going to start again.
  • 10:09 - 10:15
In the last teaching I told you
    that for many of you
  • 10:15 - 10:16
it has created a new hunger
    for the Word of God.
  • 10:16 - 10:19
Now you want to dig into the Word of God,
you want to see what it is all about.
  • 10:19 - 10:26
    Before many were saying,
"Oh! I knew what it was all about."
  • 10:26 - 10:32
But suddenly it creates a new hunger.
This is what God is doing.
  • 10:32 - 10:35
I’m so happy that this is happening,
I am so happy for the response,
  • 10:35 - 10:41
    and what God is doing.
I also got some critical responses.
  • 10:41 - 10:47
It’s always like that because people have
different glasses, like I told you last time.
  • 10:47 - 10:53
And if you listened to my teaching
and really have big glasses on,
  • 10:53 - 10:56
this is something you will have problems with.
  • 10:56 - 10:59
If you have glasses like those to see through
you would have had a problem with it.
  • 10:59 - 11:05
Somebody wrote to me and said that two
things in my last teaching was unbiblical.
  • 11:05 - 11:11
I just want to answer that,
    the first thing.
  • 11:11 - 11:16
    Was when i talked about
    the first church building
  • 11:16 - 11:19
that it came during the time
    period of the Catholic Church.
  • 11:19 - 11:24
And before that, in the book of Acts
they didn’t have a church building.
  • 11:25 - 11:31
Somebody said that was not true
and that I was not biblical
  • 11:31 - 11:34
because in the book of Acts they had the
synagogue and Paul went there to preach.
  • 11:34 - 11:37
    What you have to understand
when you read the book of Acts,
  • 11:37 - 11:44
Is that it was very much
focused on the Jews at that time.
  • 11:44 - 11:51
So Paul went to the synagogue
because this was a Jewish place.
  • 11:51 - 11:57
It doesn't mean that when they went
    to other countries without jews
  • 11:57 - 12:03
they built new synagogues No, because
it was not the teaching Jesus came with.
  • 12:03 - 12:11
So when Paul went to the synagogue
  • 12:11 - 12:12
you cannot compare that with us
going to a church building today.
  • 12:12 - 12:14
Also, where did they have bread?
    Where did they have communion?
  • 12:14 - 12:17

They had that in their houses.
  • 12:17 - 12:22
Why did they not have communion
    in the synagogue?
  • 12:22 - 12:26
They could not do that because the
synagogue was not a Christian fellowship.
  • 12:26 - 12:29
    The synagogue was a Jewish
    fellowship of the old covenant.
  • 12:29 - 12:34
And there was not breaking of bread
    because it came with Jesus.
  • 12:35 - 12:41
It came with Jesus and it was something
    belonging to the new covenant
  • 12:41 - 12:42
and it was something they did in their houses.
  • 12:42 - 12:45
So when Paul was preaching in
the synagogue; he did that. Yes!
  • 12:45 - 12:52
But he did it because he wanted people to
understand that Jesus was Christ and repent.
  • 12:52 - 12:57
Sometimes they threw him out and other
times there were people who said :
  • 12:57 - 13:02
"I believe you, I want to follow you." And they followed
Christ and left the synagogue and went with him.
  • 13:02 - 13:10
So the synagogue was not the church.
Also when they came together at the temple,
  • 13:10 - 13:18
some people say that it was a Christian
    gathering, a church.
  • 13:17 - 13:21
But the temple was where they proclaimed
Jesus, where they preached the gospel,
  • 13:21 - 13:23
where they healed the sick and
    where they were together.
  • 13:23 - 13:26
But it was not like a church meeting
    where they broke bread.
  • 13:26 - 13:31
It was like a market place today where
    Christians are coming together,
  • 13:31 - 13:34
    sharing Jesus and proclaiming
    the word of God.
  • 13:34 - 13:37
People are getting healed and saved.
So when you read the Bible
  • 13:37 - 13:43
you have to somehow take the glasses off
to see what the word is saying.
  • 13:43 - 13:52
    Another thing somebody said to
    me was about infant baptism.
  • 13:52 - 13:55
They said I was wrong because
they baptized infants in the Bible
  • 13:55 - 13:58
    And gave one example
    from the book of Acts,
  • 13:58 - 14:03
how the whole household got baptized.
Also someone said that I last time said :
  • 14:03 - 14:06
    "Infant baptism started after this
    period."
  • 14:06 - 14:09
But he said that it started before that.
    And that is right!
  • 14:09 - 14:13
About the year 200 you saw in the history
that they said it was the first infant baptism.
  • 14:13 - 14:20
But what I said was that it got
    accepted like a doctrine later,
  • 14:20 - 14:24
and became part of the church.
  • 14:24 - 14:27
So it was not that some of the things
    didn't start before Constantine,
  • 14:27 - 14:33
but at that time it got
    accepted like a doctrine.
  • 14:33 - 14:38
    Some things happened before
    the Constantine period.
  • 14:38 - 14:41
But they did not baptised infants /
babies, in the book of Acts.
  • 14:41 - 14:44
And I can show you that very fast.
    For example :
  • 14:44 - 14:45
when we read the book of Acts chapter 16,
  • 14:45 - 14:49
    you read about the jailer
    and his household,
  • 14:49 - 14:51
    that everybody somehow got baptized.
  • 14:51 - 14:54
People today often put something into
the text to make it fit with their doctrines.
  • 14:54 - 14:59
They put into the text that there
    were babies in that household,
  • 14:59 - 15:07
but we don’t read that. So if I read
the text in book of Acts chapter 16.
  • 15:07 - 15:18
You can read that it says :
  • 15:18 - 15:21
"believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved
along with everyone in your household."
  • 15:21 - 15:28
And then they shared the word with him and
everyone who was living in his household.
  • 15:28 - 15:40
We read later that everyone in his
    household was immediately baptized.
  • 15:40 - 15:47
That everybody in that household was baptized
doesn’t mean that everyone got baptized.
  • 15:47 - 15:56
I want to say that in another way.
You read that a big multitude came to Jesus
  • 15:56 - 16:07
and He healed everyone. Does that mean
that everyone got healed, no or yes?
  • 16:07 - 16:11
It doesn't mean that every person
    who came was healed,
  • 16:11 - 16:12
    but that every person who
    was sick got healed.
  • 16:12 - 16:15
And that is a difference there.
  • 16:15 - 16:17
    When you read the Bible
    that everybody came,
  • 16:17 - 16:20
    a big multitude,
    and they all got healed,
  • 16:20 - 16:26
it doesn't mean that each of them
    who was there got healed
  • 16:26 - 16:31
but each one who had a need
    to be healed got healed.
  • 16:31 - 16:34
And it is the same here when the
    whole household was baptized.
  • 16:34 - 16:41
    It doesn’t mean everyone
    in that household,
  • 16:42 - 16:48
but everyone who had a need to
    be baptized was baptized.
  • 16:48 - 16:51
    And babies don’t have a
    need to be baptized.
  • 16:51 - 16:58
If you just take the glasses off,
    and continue to read,
  • 16:58 - 17:01
you will also see that the entire household
rejoiced because all believed in Jesus.
  • 17:01 - 17:08
We read the entire household, if
    that includes babies,
  • 17:08 - 17:18
    the entire household would
    also mean babies.
  • 17:18 - 17:27
The Bible says the entire household
    rejoiced by coming to faith.
  • 17:27 - 17:30
When have you last seen a
baby rejoice by coming to faith?
  • 17:30 - 17:36
You have not seen that, this
    is just an example.
  • 17:36 - 17:40
Often we think something is unbiblical
because there is people who are really smart,
  • 17:40 - 17:47
and have a lot of doctrine, and are
very fast to say this is very unbiblical.
  • 17:47 - 17:51
But this is because they put something into
the text to get it to fit with their traditions.
  • 17:51 - 17:54
Often when we read the book of Acts
we forget that this was a Jewish place.
  • 17:54 - 18:00
    They take the Jewish synagogue,
and make it something it was not.
  • 18:00 - 18:07
And when we read about baptism we
put something extra into the text.
  • 18:07 - 18:13
Because we want it to fit
    with our traditions.
  • 18:13 - 18:17
    I believe somehow we need
    to make things more simple.
  • 18:17 - 18:20
    We need to take
    the glasses off.
  • 18:20 - 18:30
    And just read the word,
read it as it is and believe it.
  • 18:30 - 18:32
And don’t try to change the
word to fit to your theology.
  • 18:32 - 18:34
    We should change our
    theology to fit the word.
  • 18:34 - 18:41
This is what we need, simple faith,
read the word and obey it.
  • 18:41 - 18:48
And like the man who I told you about
he was totally changed and on fire,
  • 18:48 - 18:53
because he got kick-started, he was out
praying for sick people, this is so simple.
  • 18:53 - 19:03
In Luke 10:9 Jesus said : "Go out,
heal the sick, preach the gospel."
  • 19:03 - 19:07
    This is so simple, everybody
can do it, It is so simple.
  • 19:07 - 19:10
The word of God is simple, it is we
    who somehow make it difficult.
  • 19:10 - 19:15
    Jesus didn’t came with a religion -
  • 19:15 - 19:18
where we need seven years of education
to understand what He was saying.
  • 19:18 - 19:23
No, he came with a simple life
    children could understand.
  • 19:23 - 19:26
    Often children have it much
easier with doing this than we have.
  • 19:26 - 19:32
Because we have a problem up here,
    ( in our brain ) -
  • 19:32 - 19:38
We take a lot of things in and complicate
them instead of doing them simply.
  • 19:38 - 19:40
So the last time, i took you, as i told
    you through some church history.
  • 19:40 - 19:43
We have the book of Acts --
    revival Christianity.
  • 19:43 - 19:46
We read in the Bible that
    Jesus is the same today.
  • 19:46 - 19:49
But many things got changed during that period,
and that is what we are building on today.
  • 19:49 - 19:51
    The Lutheran church is building
    on the Catholic Church,
  • 19:51 - 19:54
and everything today looks like that.
We really need to see a reformation,
  • 19:54 - 19:57
    because Jesus has commanded
    us to make disciples.
  • 19:57 - 20:03
    Jesus has commanded us
to equip and to train people.
  • 20:03 - 20:10
Often the way we do church today is the
reason why people are not equipped.
  • 20:10 - 20:13
    They are not trained,
    they are sitting,
  • 20:13 - 20:16
    and they are listening to
    somebody else doing it.
  • 20:16 - 20:22
We need to change that focus
    and train and equip people.
  • 20:22 - 20:29
We need to get Jesus out of the box
and to be a part of our everyday life.
  • 20:29 - 20:35
These are some of the things
I’m going to share with you now.
  • 20:35 - 20:44
I want to start by telling
    a testimony from my life.
  • 20:44 - 20:47
And in the last years after i
got changed in my view of things
  • 20:47 - 20:50
I'm started to see more testimonies
like the ones I'm going to tell you now.
  • 20:50 - 20:56
I’m going to tell you a testimony
who is like in the book of Acts,
  • 20:57 - 21:01
a testimony where you can see
how the Holy Spirit guiding us,
  • 21:01 - 21:04
    how people are getting saved
and how Jesus is the same today.
  • 21:04 - 21:08
I will tell you the testimony because it helps
me to share what I’m going to teach,
  • 21:09 - 21:12
so I hope you are ready.
I don't know how long time!?
  • 21:13 - 21:17
About one year ago my father
really met God, he got saved,
  • 21:18 - 21:25
and i baptized my father, I came
    from a non-Christian background.
  • 21:25 - 21:30
When I got saved, he didn’t want me
to have anything to do with the church.
  • 21:31 - 21:33
But now he is changed and I got the
chance to baptize my own father,
  • 21:33 - 21:36
    and it was amazing.
Then about half a year ago,
  • 21:36 - 21:43
I was home with my parents
    and we were sitting,
  • 21:43 - 21:49
    and talking about Jesus
    and talking about Israel.
  • 21:49 - 21:55
They had been at a meeting where
    someone was talking about Israel.
  • 21:55 - 22:03
And when we talked about Israel
I said to my father :
  • 22:03 - 22:06
"Oh, I've always dreamt about going to
Israel, to walk there and see the places."
  • 22:06 - 22:11
And I said to him, "I want to go there
and take my family with me.
  • 22:11 - 22:12
    And then I said,
    because I felt something.
  • 22:12 - 22:14
    And I believe God wants
me to go there very soon.
  • 22:14 - 22:19
    It was suddenly, it
    came out of me.
  • 22:19 - 22:26
Because i felt like, this is
what God wants me to do.
  • 22:26 - 22:29
    But I didn’t thought it
was going to go so fast,
  • 22:29 - 22:32
    because just two days
later I got a phone call.
  • 22:32 - 22:38
I took the telephone, and it was a
    woman from Jerusalem in Israel,
  • 22:38 - 22:41
who called me and said, "I need to
talk to you, I need to talk to you."
  • 22:41 - 22:47
"Two days ago, ( you know the
same day I was at my parents house ).
  • 22:47 - 22:50
Two days ago I went to bed, and The
Holy Spirit woke me up and said to me :
  • 22:50 - 22:54
Go in and write : signs
    and wonders on YouTube.
  • 22:54 - 22:59
I did that and suddenly you came up
I saw a video and saw your website.
  • 22:59 - 23:01
And I saw this is different,
    there is something here,
  • 23:01 - 23:03
    and I wrote down your
    telephone number,
  • 23:03 - 23:05
    and now the Holy Spirit
    has been telling me,
  • 23:05 - 23:11
that I should call and invite
    you to come to Israel.
  • 23:11 - 23:16
Come to Jerusalem and live with us.
And I was like, OK! Nice.
  • 23:16 - 23:19
And I've said just two days ago
    at my parents house. :
  • 23:19 - 23:38
    I've always dreamt about going
there so let’s pray about it."
  • 23:38 - 23:39
    And then already the day
after she wrote to me. :
  • 23:39 - 23:40
Hi Torben I have just transferred
    2500 euro to you,
  • 23:40 - 23:41
so you can come with your whole family,
    and I was like, wooh!
  • 23:41 - 23:47
And I didn't know this woman!
  • 23:47 - 23:48
I've just talked with her for five
    minutes in the telephone,
  • 23:48 - 23:50
and suddenly she send 2500 euro to me,
so I could come with the whole family.
  • 23:50 - 23:57
This is how God is leading us. So three
months ago I was in Israel in Jerusalem.
  • 23:57 - 24:03
I stayed with my family in
    their house for a week.
  • 24:03 - 24:06
I was out seeing the places and praying,
and it was really amazing to be there.
  • 24:06 - 24:12
And I asked, "Jesus what do
you want me to do here?"
  • 24:12 - 24:15
"What do you want to show me here?"
  • 24:15 - 24:18
    One time we were
going to the sea of Galilee,
  • 24:18 - 24:25
and we went down to the place you read
about the gospel of John chapter 21.
  • 24:25 - 24:31
After Jesus rose again he came to His
    disciples and was standing there,
  • 24:31 - 24:33
    and they were out fishing.
  • 24:33 - 24:36
And he said that they should
cast their net on the other side,
  • 24:36 - 24:40
and they caught a lot of fish. They came
in when they saw it was Him,
  • 24:40 - 24:43
    and Jesus asked Peter
three times. : "Do you love me?"
  • 24:43 - 24:50
And we where there at that place,
and I was standing and looking,
  • 24:50 - 24:53
and seeing where they said Jesus had
made the fish, and they had been together.
  • 24:53 - 24:54
It was amazing to be there. Now they
have built a big Catholic Church there,
  • 24:54 - 24:56
but they didn’t have it at Jesus time.
Often it was the hard being in Israel,
  • 24:56 - 25:03
It was because in every place something
    had happened many years ago,
  • 25:03 - 25:08
Now there is a big, big Catholic Church
    or Lutheran church there
  • 25:08 - 25:16
    who somehow kills, It destroys
    the simple life we read.
  • 25:17 - 25:24
    It destroys the life
    Jesus came with.
  • 25:25 - 25:27
    But when we walked around
    the Catholic Church,
  • 25:27 - 25:30
at the sea there was a
    woman in a wheelchair.
  • 25:30 - 25:36
The one who was with me she walked
up to her, and I followed after her.
  • 25:36 - 25:38
This woman was from Brazil and I didn’t
understand what was wrong with her.
  • 25:38 - 25:41
But she had destroyed her knees
and she was not able to walk.
  • 25:41 - 25:46
And she said, the woman who was
    with me, "Can you pray?"
  • 25:46 - 25:51
And I just put my hands on her and prayed
and suddenly a lot of things happened.
  • 25:52 - 25:59
Because she jumped up from the
wheelchair and she was walking around.
  • 25:59 - 26:02
    She was shouting and shouting
in tongues, I think it was.
  • 26:02 - 26:04
and saying a lot of things
    I didn’t understand.
  • 26:04 - 26:07
Then suddenly a lot of people
    came up from the sea.
  • 26:07 - 26:12
There was a whole group there, also some
people from China who was taking pictures.
  • 26:13 - 26:19
    And she was walking around,
    the wheelchair was empty,
  • 26:19 - 26:20
    and she was shouting
    and shouting!
  • 26:20 - 26:23
And then there came out a priest
from the Catholic Church who said :
  • 26:23 - 26:26
"Shh! shh! shh!" And like :
    "Be quiet! Be quiet!"
  • 26:26 - 26:31
    He was standing in his
    big beautiful garment.
  • 26:31 - 26:34
    And everything, the whole picture
of what happened was so amazing.
  • 26:34 - 26:40
And I saw later there was
    a sign saying, "Be Quiet",
  • 26:40 - 26:44
    The sign said "be quiet"
    in three different languages
  • 26:44 - 26:47
but she didn’t care she was
    just so happy and cried.
  • 26:47 - 26:51
    This man was saying :
    "Be quiet, be quiet!"
  • 26:51 - 26:54
    And suddenly the rest of
    the group came up,
  • 26:54 - 27:00
and somebody from Brazil who could translate.
She said that she was shouting :
  • 27:01 - 27:02
"No more pain! No more pain!
I can walk! I can walk!"
  • 27:02 - 27:05
    Then one more came,
    "Can you pray for me?"
  • 27:05 - 27:07
    And I prayed for him
    and he was healed.
  • 27:07 - 27:08
    And one more from the
    group came with a cane,
  • 27:08 - 27:10
I prayed for him and he was healed.
Another person came and said :
  • 27:10 - 27:15
"I’m the pastor, I invite you to Brazil."
One more came and said :
  • 27:15 - 27:20
    "Can you pray for me?
    I want what you have!"
  • 27:21 - 27:25
I believe in praying for people
    to receive the Holy Spirit.
  • 27:26 - 27:27
    But i i don't believe in
    giving the anointing,
  • 27:27 - 27:30
like we see in the church
today, I will explain that later.
  • 27:30 - 27:32
But I just laid my hands on him and
    I didn't know what happened.
  • 27:32 - 27:35
God came over him I think
    he maybe was set free,
  • 27:35 - 27:37
    he fell to the ground,
    to the stones,
  • 27:37 - 27:40
and he was laying there on the stone
in front of the Catholic Church.
  • 27:40 - 27:46
To be there was so amazing and suddenly
    everybody was looking at me,
  • 27:47 - 27:53
    and somebody was taking pictures.

  • 27:53 - 27:59
I had to leave then because it was
too much focus on me, so I left.
  • 27:59 - 28:02
I was shocked and I have it on video,
on my website the Last Reformation.
  • 28:02 - 28:09
    The name on the video
    is miracles in Israel,
  • 28:09 - 28:14
    and there you can see
    what i i'm telling you.
  • 28:14 - 28:17
    I am so shocked about
    what happened.
  • 28:17 - 28:27
    It was so strong to
    experience that setting.
  • 28:27 - 28:30
    At the same place where
    Jesus has walked.
  • 28:30 - 28:33
At that time Jesus had a
    problem with the Pharisees.
  • 28:33 - 28:36
Now we have a big Catholic church
where the priest came out and said :
  • 28:36 - 28:42
    "Shh! Shh! Be quiet!"
  • 28:42 - 28:45
    He was more interested in
    that we were making noises,
  • 28:45 - 28:50
than in that this woman has met
    God and had gotten healed.
  • 28:51 - 28:56
    It was a really strong
    experience for me.
  • 28:56 - 29:02
    Afterwards, I went to the
    place where Jesus had lived.
  • 29:02 - 29:03
And on the video I say :
  • 29:03 - 29:05
"Look, this is His home town,
this is where Jesus was living."
  • 29:05 - 29:12
Now He is not walking here on earth,
but, yes He is! Of course!
  • 29:12 - 29:17
Jesus is still walking here on earth through
me and you, us who is his body.
  • 29:17 - 29:20
    So Jesus is still healing
    people in Israel today.
  • 29:20 - 29:26
    He is now healing people
    all over the world!
  • 29:26 - 29:29
    Why? Because He has not
    changed, we are His body.
  • 29:29 - 29:37
This is the normal christian life!
  • 29:37 - 29:38
The last day I was there we saw a
    lot of things happened.
  • 29:38 - 29:40
And other things happened as well,
    I was on the mount.
  • 29:40 - 29:44
    The Temple Mount,
    where the temple had been.
  • 29:45 - 29:52
But of course, Jerusalem had been
    destroyed many times.
  • 29:53 - 29:59
So it was not exactly those stones,
  • 29:59 - 30:06
but it was the same place where
    the temple had been.
  • 30:12 - 30:15
I was standing there where they
    now have two different mosques.
  • 30:17 - 30:23
And I was standing there and
    looking, and thinking :
  • 30:23 - 30:24
Right here, right here, right here!
The holy of holies has been!
  • 30:24 - 30:26
    The temple has been here,
    But it's not here anymore.
  • 30:26 - 30:35
Then suddenly I realised, but the temple
is here, because I am here.
  • 30:41 - 30:46
The Holy Spirit is inside of me, therefore
    the temple is standing here.
  • 30:46 - 30:51
These are some of the things I
want to share with you now.
  • 30:51 - 30:52
    The revelation of that
    we are the temple,
  • 30:52 - 30:54
    the revelation of that
    we are the body.
  • 30:54 - 31:01
    The revelation of that the
Holy Spirit is inside of us.
  • 31:01 - 31:04
We are the body of Christ and
    that mind-set.
  • 31:04 - 31:10
    And that understanding is going
to set so many people free,
  • 31:11 - 31:20
when they first start to understand this!

  • 31:20 - 31:23
But during our way of making religious
meetings we wearing our religious glasses!
  • 31:23 - 31:28
Because many people have heard, :
the temple is not something you go to.
  • 31:29 - 31:33
    You are the temple and
    you are the body.
  • 31:33 - 31:36
    But they don’t understand it,
    and they don’t see it.
  • 31:36 - 31:39
So I want to show you
    what Jesus came with,
  • 31:39 - 31:42
    and I want to provoke
you as I did last time.
  • 31:42 - 31:47
I hope you are ready for that!
  • 31:47 - 31:50
The first i want to show
    you is the normal view,
  • 31:50 - 31:54
    of the different words
    like church and things.
  • 31:54 - 31:57
Of course, there is always people who
    understand and think different.
  • 31:57 - 32:01
I want to say that this video and other
videos I have made are in high definition.
  • 32:11 - 32:18
So you can turn up the
    quality to high definition,
  • 32:18 - 32:21
So you can see all the texts
    I have on this papers.
  • 32:22 - 32:25
What is church? is not just somewhere
you go, it is something you are.
  • 32:25 - 32:32
Church, what is church? For many
    people church is a temple!
  • 32:33 - 32:42
    A place you conduct religious
    activities, worship and so on.
  • 32:42 - 32:43
    This is the normal mind-set!
If you say church to people,
  • 32:43 - 32:46
    the first thing that comes
    to their minds is.....
  • 32:46 - 32:49
    some building you go into
    to do religious activities.
  • 32:52 - 32:59
But this is far away from the understanding
    the first disciples had.
  • 33:00 - 33:09
Church has nothing to do with a holy place.
Jesus came to destroy that mindset!
  • 33:09 - 33:14
    He came to destroy that,
so He could build a body.
  • 33:14 - 33:17
He wanted to build a body!
  • 33:17 - 33:30
The temple is not there now because the
temple is here, we are the temple of God.
  • 33:30 - 33:35
We know that during religious activities,
the way we do church today,
  • 33:35 - 33:38
    we create another mindset because
we don’t only learn by what we hear.
  • 33:38 - 33:45
We learn by what we see, so you can
go to a church for many years,
  • 33:46 - 33:56
and you can hear that Church
is not a place, church is you.
  • 33:56 - 33:59
But we show by our lives that
    we have not understand this.
  • 33:59 - 34:05
For example, I know many people who
have been together with some friends,
  • 34:06 - 34:17
in their home and spoke about Jesus,
    and shared testimonies.
  • 34:17 - 34:23
but they would not say that
what they had their was church.
  • 34:24 - 34:27
    They would say,
    no we were just together,
  • 34:27 - 34:30
    we had a fellowship,
    but we were not church.
  • 34:30 - 34:38
But it really was a church, as much
church as the rest is church,
  • 34:38 - 34:41
because church is not a place
you go, it is something you are.
  • 34:41 - 34:51
And when I say priest, most
    people think about someone...
  • 34:51 - 34:57
who has an education, and a
    special calling, they are priests.
  • 34:57 - 35:00
    And they can baptize
    and share communion,
  • 35:00 - 35:09
    And that they somehow stand
    between us and God.
  • 35:09 - 35:16
    That mindset is so opposite
    of what Jesus came with.
  • 35:16 - 35:19
Today we build on a foundation that
is so opposite to the words of Jesus.
  • 35:19 - 35:28
In the Bible you see that there was a
high priest and that was Jesus Christ.
  • 35:28 - 35:37
And when they used, the word priest
it refers to the body of Christ,
  • 35:37 - 35:40
the priesthood of Christ means that
we are all priests in Him!
  • 35:40 - 35:47
But somehow in the Catholic Church, there
came a man between God and people.
  • 35:48 - 35:51
    And somehow there were
    only some select people....
  • 35:51 - 35:54
    who were priests and they
    have a special anointing.
  • 35:54 - 36:01
And only they could baptize and could share
communion and somehow stand between God
  • 36:01 - 36:06
    and people. During the reformation,
    Luther brought the priesthood
  • 36:06 - 36:13
of all believers. That means that we
don’t need a priest between us and God,
  • 36:13 - 36:19
we have Jesus Christ. He changed that
so we don’t need a priest between us
  • 36:19 - 36:25
and God. But Luther didn’t changed it that
we didn’t need a priest, that we don’t need
  • 36:25 - 36:30
a priest between us and God, that we can now
have relationship with God. He didn’t change
  • 36:31 - 36:38
it to we are all priests that we can all
baptize. So that old mind-set is still embedded
  • 36:38 - 36:43
many in people. I remember not so long ago
there was a woman who called me and she said,
  • 36:43 - 36:50
“I have a son and he is very good he met
God through some meetings. He is 19 years old
  • 36:51 - 36:56
and he is totally on fire now, he wants to get
baptized, can I baptize him?" And I said, "Yes!
  • 36:57 - 37:04
you can." She said, "I know I can, but Tom, can
I baptize him?" I said "Yes you can! Jesus has
  • 37:03 - 37:07
commanded you to go out make disciples and
baptize them, He has commanded you to do it!"
  • 37:07 - 37:12
“Yes, but Tom, you know I’m not a priest”
-- "No, we are all priests, you can
  • 37:13 - 37:25
do it." Yeah, but she didn’t do it.
    Why? Because of her glasses.
  • 37:25 - 37:34
Because somehow she created a mind-set that
there were people who were especially
  • 37:34 - 37:44
anointed and called who should do that. And us lay
people cannot do it. Jesus hates that teaching.
  • 37:44 - 37:50
I believe He went against that. He washed the
disciples feet. He wanted to show us we are
  • 37:51 - 37:55
all brothers, we all priests with
    one high priest, Jesus Christ.
  • 37:55 - 38:02
And everybody can baptize, everybody can do
it, can do ministry. There is nothing in the
  • 38:03 - 38:08
kingdom of God for people who are especially
called for ministry and people who are not.
  • 38:08 - 38:15
That mind-set limits growth, so growth
today is limited to church, to
  • 38:16 - 38:22
a meeting, to a priest. So today when people
want to receive Jesus, because we have not
  • 38:23 - 38:28
made disciples and trained them, we think,
OK let’s take them to those people who can
  • 38:28 - 38:35
do it. I also had that mind-set. I remember
the first time I cast a demon out. We understood
  • 38:37 - 38:44
that Jesus wanted to be a part of our everyday
life and we had a gathering in our house.
  • 38:44 - 38:48
Suddenly there was a woman who fell down and
was making a noise and shaking and shouting
  • 38:49 - 38:54
something in English with a big male voice!
And as I had never tried that before I was
  • 38:54 - 38:59
like "Whoa a demon! A demon." She was
shouting and what she shouted was, "Go to
  • 38:59 - 39:06
hell!" When she was shouting that, my first
thought was, "I need a priest". Why did
  • 39:07 - 39:13
I think that? I had the Holy Spirit inside of
me, I was a priest. I didn’t have the education
  • 39:13 - 39:20
but God had called me to be a priest. I was
ordained, not by a system, but by God.
  • 39:20 - 39:27
Because when I got saved, I was called, I became
ordained, I became a priest when I received
  • 39:28 - 39:37
the Holy Spirit. So I had everything. But because
of my mind-set when that happened, I thought
  • 39:37 - 39:43
    I needed a priest. No, I didn’t need a priest,
I just needed to learn by doing it. So I went
  • 39:43 - 39:49
to her because there was no priest and we
can be happy for that today. There was nobody
  • 39:50 - 39:56
else but me so I was pushed out into it. So
I was thinking where is the priest? "Oh,
  • 39:56 - 40:03
there is only me. OK, who are you? She said,
"Go to hell!" And I said, "Who are you?"
  • 40:04 - 40:11
"Go to hell!" And I became so angry and
I said, "No, you can go to hell!" And then
  • 40:11 - 40:21
she got set free in the name of Jesus,
yes! I saw, woo, it is working, I have
  • 40:21 - 40:32
it already. And this is the church. In many
churches today you need to be ordained
  • 40:32 - 40:41
to do ministry but in the book of Acts they
were not ordained. Yes, I believe in a calling
  • 40:41 - 40:50
but not just to a very few select people or
for an organization. No, we have a calling
  • 40:50 - 40:59
from God, each of us, we are all called
to do ministry. But many people think if
  • 40:59 - 41:06
I need to do ministry I need to build up, I
need to have the right education. And when
  • 41:06 - 41:11
they finish this education, they have the
glasses on that make them do ministry inside
  • 41:11 - 41:16
the box. But Jesus didn’t come with a box,
He wants to be part of our everyday life.
  • 41:16 - 41:22
He wants to be a part of our everyday life.
The next thing I will talk about is the
  • 41:23 - 41:30
worship service. If we talk about the worship
service as a box, as a special Sunday place,
  • 41:30 - 41:37
a special time, where special people do special
things that others are not allowed, this is wrong.
  • 41:37 - 41:43
It is wrong to think that you and I and other
people can't do all these things. But this is
  • 41:43 - 41:49
so much in our mind-set that we go
to a meeting where we expect God
  • 41:50 - 42:01
to work there and this is good, but what
about on Monday? What about Tuesday?
  • 42:01 - 42:07
What about Wednesday? What about our
everyday life with Jesus? We don’t
  • 42:07 - 42:11
    expect that when we are
    together. We don’t expect that.
  • 42:11 - 42:16
I was sending a book yesterday. I was
sending some books out and there in front of
  • 42:17 - 42:22
me at the post office was a boy standing.
Hey, I know him! Because two months
  • 42:22 - 42:27
ago I took him out on the street with
me for a few days. He was training
  • 42:27 - 42:33
with me and people got baptized and saved.
He saw that, he was a Christian who
  • 42:34 - 42:41
saw another who came here with another
church. But I met him yesterday and I said,
  • 42:40 - 42:46
"Hey let’s have some coffee." We sat
down for some coffee and there we had
  • 42:47 - 42:54
church. We talked about Jesus, I discipled him,
we shared testimonies and he gave me something
  • 42:54 - 43:01
back. I was totally high after I had been talking
to him for one hour. I could see his life had
  • 43:01 - 43:07
been totally changed last month by meeting
me and what we did. He thanked me so much
  • 43:07 - 43:12
and said everything has changed. He thanked
me because I want to make disciples, "Thank
  • 43:12 - 43:21
you because of what you gave to me." But
for many years I didn’t make disciples
  • 43:21 - 43:27
because in my mind-set discipleship was
something you had to be ordained to do. That
  • 43:28 - 43:34
you had to be priest, it had to be on
Sunday and it had to be in a meeting.
  • 43:34 - 43:41
We limit God so much in that mind-set.
And now I understand that discipleship is
  • 43:41 - 43:46
part of life. When you are together with
people talk about Jesus, make disciples and
  • 43:46 - 43:50
train them. This guy is not coming to my
church he is going to another fellowship. And
  • 43:51 - 44:00
what is happening with him is now affecting that
fellowship. It is happening, so we are called
  • 44:00 - 44:11
to disciple people. But our focus has been too
much on church instead of just making disciples.
  • 44:11 - 44:18
But during history, church became something
it was not. And worship became something it
  • 44:19 - 44:30
was not. I can give the Holy Spirit,
the anointing. Many people think this
  • 44:30 - 44:37
is only for a few select people at a special
time and they have for some time. From
  • 44:37 - 44:44
the old testament we have the temple, the
priest and the prophet that came in the
  • 44:44 - 44:50
old testament, they were anointed by God and
anointed by a prophet. Today, in some church
  • 44:51 - 44:56
denominations we have a lot of impartation
meetings where people come to get anointed.
  • 44:56 - 45:03
That was my church background. After I got saved I
went from one meeting to another, one conference
  • 45:03 - 45:10
to another. Why? Because I wanted a man of God
to lay hands on me so I could get the anointing.
  • 45:10 - 45:16
I can see that that mind-set had destroyed
that church and that church denomination.
  • 45:16 - 45:21
Now we have a lot of people going from
    conference to conference, from meeting
  • 45:22 - 45:29
to meeting to receive something they already
have. If you are saved, if you are filled up,
  • 45:29 - 45:35
baptized with the Holy Spirit, you have the
anointing because in the new testament when
  • 45:35 - 45:42
it talks about the anointing it refers to
the Holy Spirit. When you receive the Holy
  • 45:42 - 45:46
Spirit you have got the same power that raised
Jesus from the dead. So you don’t need a
  • 45:47 - 45:51
new anointing because there is no new
anointing. You read in the book of Acts
  • 45:52 - 45:57
or in the letters that talk about laying their
hands on people. I believe in laying on hands
  • 45:58 - 46:03
and praying for people to receive the Holy
Spirit. This is only something you do one time
  • 46:03 - 46:08
then you have it. To get filled by the Holy
Spirit is not something you receive outside,
  • 46:08 - 46:12
it is from your innermost being. It’s going
to be wrung out when you get it, when you get
  • 46:13 - 46:18
    what you already have. 'Give
and it will be given to you.'
  • 46:18 - 46:25
It’s not about money, it’s about life. Can
you see it? Somehow we have a mind-set today
  • 46:26 - 46:31
where people think church is a building and
priests are special select worship people where they
  • 46:31 - 46:38
have to have a Sunday meeting in a special
order. And the Holy Spirit is for a few select
  • 46:39 - 46:46
people and it’s never for us. So people
    continue their religious activities.
  • 46:46 - 46:52
They go to church to do religious
activities, to the Sunday meeting. And to
  • 46:52 - 47:02
the priest who does all the things and the
Holy Spirit. Yes, we go to the Sunday meetings
  • 47:02 - 47:07
and on Sunday get somebody to pray for us because
some day we hope we will receive something
  • 47:08 - 47:16
so we can go out and serve God. I see a lot
of fruits with what we are doing in training
  • 47:16 - 47:22
people. We have a lot of testimonies from
people we work with where people are getting
  • 47:23 - 47:29
saved and set free from demons. Even in everyday
life we never talk about anointing. We
  • 47:38 - 47:45
Because you have all the gifts through Jesus
Christ. You have it all, the gifts are all there.
    411
    00:47:46,479 --> 00:47:50,093
But somebody might say it is not
everyone who has the gift of healing.
  • 47:50 - 47:56
You don’t need the gift of healing
to heal the sick. What? You don’t need
  • 47:57 - 48:07
the gift. Let me explain, is everybody
an evangelist? No! Can everybody evangelize?
  • 48:07 - 48:14
Yes! Is everybody a prophet? No! Can everybody
prophesy? Yes! Is it everybody who has the
  • 48:14 - 48:21
gift of healing? No! But can everybody heal
the sick? Yes! How does that work? If you
  • 48:22 - 48:28
read in Ephesians 4:11 God talks about
gifts He has put in the church. Gifts to
  • 48:28 - 48:35
equip the saints to do the ministry. So you
don’t need the gift of healing to heal the
  • 48:35 - 48:40
sick. These signs follow those who believe
if you are born again. Believe, go out and act
  • 48:40 - 48:51
on the word of God. If you continue doing
this a lot and then equip others to
  • 48:51 - 48:59
do it, it becomes a gift, then it is a
gift. So it’s not like I can heal the
  • 48:59 - 49:08
sick or you have a gift. No, everybody
can do it, the gift God has given me
  • 49:08 - 49:15
by what? By equipping and training other people
to do it. This is what I do with my words. It’s
  • 49:16 - 49:20
not with my deeds. Come and follow me. I show
people how to do it and they just continue
  • 49:20 - 49:25
to do it. It’s not like I lay my hands on
them and they receive something that I have.
  • 49:26 - 49:32
People contact me, "Tom I want to receive
what you have and I can get the Holy Spirit."
  • 49:32 - 49:35
I can pray for you and you can get set free
from demons. I can pray for you and you
  • 49:35 - 49:41
can get healed. But if you have the
Holy Spirit already there is nothing more,
  • 49:41 - 49:47
you just have to live it out. Because there
is this opposite mind-set like my friend
  • 49:48 - 49:54
Don from The Last Reformation USA. He contacted
me, he saw my video and it was him who invited
  • 49:55 - 50:00
me there. And I remember in the beginning when
he contacted me he said, “Tom come here I
  • 50:00 - 50:06
need you to kick-start me! I need to be equipped
by you! I want you to take me out on the street.”
  • 50:06 - 50:10
I said OK, but you can do it, then later he
wrote to me, “Tom, I want to wait because
  • 50:11 - 50:17
I want to make a video where you do it and you
train me, so I’m waiting for you.” But then
  • 50:17 - 50:21
some days later he wrote to me, “Tom! I could
not wait any more so I went out yesterday
  • 50:22 - 50:28
and people got healed. I took another person
with me and trained her and now she is doing
  • 50:28 - 50:35
the same.” He could not wait any more, he didn’t
have to wait because when I went there I didn’t
  • 50:36 - 50:43
go there to lay my hands on him to give
him a new anointing. No, I went to just
  • 50:43 - 50:49
help him, disciple him, train him and show him
what we already have. So when you see this video
  • 50:49 - 50:54
and think, Oh, I’m waiting for a new
anointing, I’m waiting for something new.
  • 50:54 - 50:59
No, you don’t have to do that. You don’t
have to wait to get the teaching of healing
  • 51:00 - 51:06
the sick before you do it. Read the book of
Acts. Read Jesus' word then go and do it.
  • 51:06 - 51:13
It is simple, read it then act on it.
Often when we change to this mind-set
  • 51:13 - 51:22
the religious mind-set is changed then we
start to live the everyday life. Yes, you can
  • 51:22 - 51:29
go to a church on Sunday. Yes, there can
be a priest. Yes, you can have a service.
  • 51:31 - 51:42
Yes, you can do those things but don’t
limit it to those things. Don’t limit it
  • 51:42 - 51:47
to only one priest. Don’t limit
it to it has to be there.
  • 51:47 - 51:54
How much in the book of Acts is
happening in a church meeting? Nothing,
  • 51:55 - 52:01
you see everyday life there and should
be life with Jesus every day. Many
  • 52:02 - 52:07
people don’t experience that life because in
their mind-set church is a place where priests
  • 52:07 - 52:13
are. Only few real worship meetings can
happen there, and there is never enough
  • 52:14 - 52:31
Holy Spirit there. Religion is not
what Jesus came with, this is not
  • 52:31 - 52:40
part of Jesus words. Jesus did not come to
build a new religion. Jesus came to build
  • 52:40 - 52:47
a kingdom, a kingdom is very different
than all other religions. But if you look at
  • 52:48 - 52:54
what we are doing in the body of Christ, in
the churches. There is often not much difference
  • 52:54 - 53:02
between a church meeting or mosque. They come
together and have a building and are doing things.
  • 53:02 - 53:08
But Jesus came with something that was totally
different. He wants to be the head of the body,
  • 53:08 - 53:14
He wants His body to work. It was not just
a membership, it is a living body, it is love,
  • 53:14 - 53:21
it is family and not just members. So what
did Jesus come with when we talk about church?
  • 53:22 - 53:28
He came to build a new church.
In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 3.
  • 53:28 - 53:35
Paul is saying, "Do you not know that you
are the temple of God and the Holy Spirit
  • 53:37 - 53:43
dwells in you?" This is the way Paul is saying
"Do you not know? DON’T YOU KNOW THAT YOU
  • 53:43 - 53:50
ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD and the Holy Spirit is in
you?". Later in the same letter, in chapter 6,
  • 53:50 - 53:59
he is saying, 'know that your body is
the temple of the Holy Spirit' so he is
  • 53:59 - 54:06
saying the same again and again. Don’t you
know that your body is the temple? You are
  • 54:06 - 54:19
the temple of the Holy Spirit. I am the temple,
I am God's temple, I am the church. It was what
  • 54:19 - 54:28
Jesus came with. I am the temple, I am the
church. When Jesus talks about priests, if I ask
  • 54:28 - 54:39
people, OK, where in the Bible do we read
about priests? Many think of Ephesians 4:11.
  • 54:39 - 54:43
"...others have been given prophets, evangelists,
shepherds and teachers" The word 'shepherds'
  • 54:43 - 54:50
is the word for pastors. We have a
shepherd in every church today. The
  • 54:51 - 55:02
only place in the Bible you find that
word shepherd is in Ephesians 4:11. This
  • 55:02 - 55:09
is the only place. You find it in three other
places but every time it refers to Jesus.
  • 55:10 - 55:15
He is the shepherd. The only place you will
find shepherd where it refers to Jesus is in
  • 55:15 - 55:27
Ephesians 4:11, and out of that small word we
build a whole church doctrine today. Out of that
  • 55:27 - 55:39
one word! In the context you don’t read how
the things are working, like I said before
  • 55:39 - 55:45
as an evangelist. In many church fellowships
evangelists are those who go out and evangelize.
  • 55:46 - 55:52
No, those that evangelize are disciples. An
evangelist is someone read about in Ephesians
  • 55:52 - 55:59
4:11 who equips the saints to go out to evangelize.
But in our mind-set when we hear the word
  • 56:00 - 56:07
we immediately read with the glasses on. And we
think that the shepherd is a priest who has a church,
  • 56:08 - 56:17
who is ordained, who is has an education, who
has a special calling who does those things.
  • 56:17 - 56:22
You read in the Bible we are shepherds, we are
all priests. There are also leaders in the
  • 56:22 - 56:28
Bible like a bishop and overseer. It is the
same word but again it was very different
  • 56:29 - 56:33
at that time. And I my book, The Last Reformation,
I am going to go through that more. But
  • 56:33 - 56:39
I want to say we need to change our mind-set,
we need to come back to the priesthood of
  • 56:39 - 56:46
all believers. Because everybody is called
to serve and if we want to see fruit and
  • 56:47 - 56:52
to see the churches growing we need to
understand that everybody is a priest. Everybody
  • 56:53 - 56:59
can baptize and everybody can do communion,
everybody can do those things. There is nothing
  • 57:00 - 57:05
in the Bible about lay people and ministers.
There is of course leaders who we have to
  • 57:06 - 57:12
respect. But leaders are not standing over
us and leaders don't have more authority in
  • 57:12 - 57:17
the kingdom than we have. No, they are standing
together with us to help us and to show us
  • 57:18 - 57:30
the way. Jesus came with this: I am a priest,
I am called and I can baptize and do everything
  • 57:30 - 57:41
the Bible says. This is what Jesus came with.
What about the Holy Spirit that Jesus came
  • 57:41 - 57:47
with? The Holy Spirit with the same power that
raised Jesus from the dead who lives in me. We
  • 57:48 - 57:58
all have the same Holy Spirit, the same anointing.
I remember I had a meeting in Poland and I
  • 57:58 - 58:05
had really tried to go through this in Poland.
I tried a lot in Poland but it is their
  • 58:07 - 58:11
mind-set that kills the church and they do
it all over the place. I had a meeting in
  • 58:12 - 58:17
Poland and there was a young girl who got
saved and she got baptized with the Holy Spirit.
  • 58:17 - 58:22
And then there was a man I prayed for who
fell down and a demon manifested. And he was
  • 58:22 - 58:27
going to get set free from a demon so I took
the girl who had just been saved and said, "Come
  • 58:28 - 58:34
with me, this is a demon. You have the Holy
Spirit inside of you and now you sit there
  • 58:34 - 58:39
and you just talk to that and you command
that to leave, can you do that?" I did that
  • 58:40 - 58:45
and then I continued praying for people and
I saw one of the elders in the church he went
  • 58:45 - 58:52
to her said something to her so she stopped
and sat down again and I became angry
  • 58:52 - 58:55
when I saw that and I went to her again, "Hey,
you are with me it’s my meeting you go
  • 58:55 - 59:00
and do that." So she started again and one
more time this man came and said something
  • 59:00 - 59:07
and she stopped so I went to him and said,
"What is happening here?" and he said, "Yes, but
  • 59:08 - 59:15
this is a demon. She is new and she has never
  • 59:16 - 59:22
tried that before." and I said, "Yes, but
she has the same Holy Spirit like you and
  • 59:22 - 59:28
me and she is never going to try if we don’t
let her start, now is a good time to start."
  • 59:28 - 59:37
This was my meeting and I became so
angry because he was hindering her from
  • 59:37 - 59:43
learning and growing because of his traditional
mind-set. So I said, "This is my meeting and
  • 59:44 - 59:48
I will talk with the pastor afterwards." So
I took her again, "Now you pray and command
  • 59:48 - 59:57
the demon to go." The next one I prayed for was
a woman who came down and she said to me, "Oh
  • 59:57 - 60:04
can you pray for me? Many years ago, 20 years
ago, I lost something when I got saved, I was
  • 60:05 - 60:13
on fire, I was talking about God I was praying
for people but then a leader in the church
  • 60:13 - 60:20
came to me and said you cannot do that because
you are a woman and his words almost killed
  • 60:20 - 60:27
me and since that time, the fire has gone."
And I’ve met same thing again and again
  • 60:28 - 60:32
and again. We have put leaders so
much on a pedestal, a place where
  • 60:33 - 60:42
they should not be, and somehow a few
words can kill the fire. We should not
  • 60:42 - 60:48
do that, we should respect leaders but we are
all ministers, we are all priests. I prayed
  • 60:48 - 60:52
for her and she got set free, the fire
started to come back again. I’ve met that
  • 60:52 - 60:57
again and again. Later, I was with the
pastor from the church and with one
  • 60:57 - 61:03
of the leaders from the Pentecostal movement
in the whole of Poland. We were sitting
  • 61:04 - 61:09
in a café and I looked at them and said, "You
have a problem here you know, you don’t
  • 61:09 - 61:15
make disciples. Why don’t you let anybody
baptize for example, why don’t you let the
  • 61:15 - 61:21
new people baptize?" The priest is a good friend
I respect. I came as a friend but I disagree
  • 61:22 - 61:28
with his view of things. He said, "Yeah Torben,
but they have not done that before." I said,
  • 61:28 - 61:35
"No, they are never going to do it if you
don’t let them do it." "Yeah, but we don’t
  • 61:35 - 61:39
have strong people, we have a lot of people
who make a lot of mistakes, they are not
  • 61:39 - 61:43
ready." "They are never going to get ready
if you don’t train them, if you don't
  • 61:43 - 61:50
equip them. Let them learn by doing
and let them grow." Then he said
  • 61:51 - 61:58
    something so shocking that showed
how much you can have your glasses on.
  • 61:58 - 62:05
He said to me, "Torben who was it who
baptized Jesus? It was not a woman,
  • 62:07 - 62:14
it was not anyone else but John the Baptist.
It was a prophet and Jesus waited 30 years
  • 62:14 - 62:24
to get baptized so we should not baptize
    people immediately." I was shocked.
  • 62:24 - 62:31
How can a man with a big church who is
in many ways very smart, who has read
  • 62:32 - 62:39
the Bible for many years say something like this?
You cannot use Jesus example of waiting 30 years
  • 62:40 - 62:47
to get baptised today. And say that people
should not be baptised immediately. At the
  • 62:48 - 62:54
same time you cannot use John’s example. It
was special, and also the Bible says, "...the
  • 62:55 - 63:02
least of these in the kingdom are greater
than John". But there you see this mind-set
  • 63:02 - 63:12
has crept into the church. This man is burned
out. He is so frustrated and he is an example
  • 63:12 - 63:18
of why people do not grow and why things don't
happen in church. Why is he burned out?
  • 63:18 - 63:22
Why is it so hard to be a pastor? If you
ask people in the church, "Do you want to
  • 63:23 - 63:26
do what he is doing" They say, "No, I don’t
want to start a church because this is so
  • 63:26 - 63:33
hard for me." It is hard because we are building
on a wrong foundation, it is hard because the
  • 63:34 - 63:40
focus is wrong. Yes, there are leaders in the
church and there are something called pastors.
  • 63:41 - 63:48
But it is a function, it is not a position. A
pastor is a function, not a position, an evangelist
  • 63:49 - 63:55
is not a position, a prophet is not a position.
They are functions in a church, not to be
  • 63:55 - 64:02
over people but beside people, to serve people.
Everybody can do ministry so Jesus went against
  • 64:04 - 64:08
much of this. When you got saved you
received the Holy Spirit you don’t have to
  • 64:08 - 64:15
run from one meeting to another. If you
want to grow and be filled like the Bible says
  • 64:15 - 64:19
do what it says in Ephesians 5 that you
have to be filled by the Spirit. But you don’t
  • 64:19 - 64:26
get filled by the Spirit by just going to
meetings. You get by giving, "give and you shall
  • 64:27 - 64:32
receive." Receive it for free, give it for
free. When you start to pray and to give
  • 64:32 - 64:37
the Holy Spirit, then the life is going to
come, yea! Then you are going to begin to
  • 64:37 - 64:43
get excited. For example, here in Denmark
we have Bible camps and every big church
  • 64:43 - 64:50
has their own Bible camp. People come and listen
to meetings for a whole week. They come for
  • 64:50 - 64:56
meeting and of course a lot of good things
happen. I have seen people go there and
  • 64:57 - 65:03
write in Facebook afterwards, "Oh, it’s been
an amazing week, so fantastic." But we have our
  • 65:03 - 65:10
own conference also. We go to a non-Christian
music camp with 10,000 young people who don’t
  • 65:10 - 65:17
know Jesus who are drinking who don’t
know anything about God. We go
  • 65:18 - 65:27
there with new people that love Jesus, we
tell about Jesus and each person which
  • 65:27 - 65:34
has been with us goes home saying this has just
been so fantastic. They are writing in Facebook,
  • 65:34 - 65:40
"It was the best week of my life, I got
changed, I got filled up." You see excitement
  • 65:40 - 65:46
in people; it is that way every time.
I have not seen many people leaving
  • 65:47 - 65:52
an ordinary meeting with that same kind of
excitement. But I have seen that when people
  • 65:52 - 65:59
give, and when they serve they get excited. This
is what we are called to do. And when you change
  • 65:59 - 66:05
your mind-set this is what you are going to
experience. The best thing for a worship meeting or
  • 66:06 - 66:12
service is when you bring yourself to God
as a living sacrifice and become Jesus'
  • 66:13 - 66:20
hands and feet. This is for Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and for worship
  • 66:21 - 66:28
meetings also. But a worship meeting is not only
this. Worship is to God when you yourself come and
  • 66:29 - 66:34
when you go out, you are the same church. When
you are together with people sitting and talking
  • 66:35 - 66:39
with people at the coffee table you are the
church. When you go on the streets and evangelize
  • 66:40 - 66:49
and talk to people about God this is also
worship, this is a service to God, can you see
  • 66:49 - 67:00
it? I just want to end on this note,
religion is saying that church is a special
  • 67:00 - 67:10
place where you do special things, priests
are special people who do special things
  • 67:10 - 67:15
there, who have an education who are ordained
and somehow they can baptize, somehow they
  • 67:16 - 67:21
can do communion, somehow they stand between
us and God. That worship meetings have to be
  • 67:21 - 67:26
on a Sunday in a special place where you have
to do special things. Because when you don’t
  • 67:27 - 67:32
do those special things you cannot call it a
worship meeting, the anointing of the Holy Spirit
  • 67:32 - 67:41
is only for a few select people. I had
that mind-set for many years and because
  • 67:41 - 67:47
I had that mind-set, my life was totally
different from what I read in the book of Acts.
  • 67:48 - 67:59
But now, because I understand that I am
the church, I understand I am the temple and
  • 67:59 - 68:04
the Holy Spirit is inside me, the anointing
and the same power that raised Jesus from the
  • 68:05 - 68:11
dead is living inside of me. I don’t need
to focus on getting a lot of gifts that I have
  • 68:11 - 68:20
already in Jesus, I am a priest, I am called and
I can baptize. It was not so long ago I was
  • 68:20 - 68:26
in Germany. Many people got saved and baptized.
Not many days ago a priest from Germany
  • 68:26 - 68:37
wrote a letter to me, "Torben, who has given
you the authority to baptize those people?"
  • 68:37 - 68:53
He was against me because it didn’t
happen inside a church. Jesus has given
  • 68:53 - 69:02
me the authority because Jesus has called
me the same way He has called you. I am a
  • 69:02 - 69:06
priest, I am the church, I have
the Holy Spirit, I have Him.
  • 69:07 - 69:16
Worship is part of life, something you
do in everyday life. What I want to do
  • 69:16 - 69:24
next week is to continue with the next teaching.
When you read the book of Acts try to take
  • 69:24 - 69:34
those truths there, and try to say and to
reaffirm yourself. Say, "I am God's temple,
  • 69:34 - 69:41
I am the church." Say it to yourself when you
are shopping, standing in a shopping mall or
  • 69:42 - 69:53
standing in the line. "I am the church, 'I am
a priest', I am a priest to these people
  • 69:53 - 70:04
here, I am their priest, I am the church, I am
called to these people." And to do a worship meeting
  • 70:04 - 70:13
somehow is to bring myself as a living
sacrifice to God. So when I become Jesus'
  • 70:13 - 70:20
hands and Jesus' feet I worship Him
and I honor Him. Und10:24,011erstand that
  • 70:24 - 70:30
you have the same Spirit that raised Jesus
from the dead. This is what I wanted to share
  • 70:31 - 70:41
this time. If you take these simple truths: I
am the church, I am the temple, the Holy Spirit
  • 70:41 - 70:48
is in me, I am a priest, I am ordained by God
and I am called by God. I don’t have to wait,
  • 70:48 - 70:53
I have the Holy Spirit inside of me.
I don’t have to go from meeting
  • 70:54 - 71:00
to meeting to receive something new. I have
it already and Jesus has already commanded
  • 71:00 - 71:06
me and told me what to do. So I read to go out
pray for the sick, lay the hands on the sick
  • 71:06 - 71:11
people who want to get healed. I am the priest
because I am the church because I worship
  • 71:12 - 71:22
God by giving my body to Him. You do
that and you will see amazing things.
  • 71:22 - 71:27
OK, I hope you understand and I look forward
to continue next time. I don’t know what other
  • 71:28 - 71:34
things I will share. Let’s see
what God is doing. We will just
  • 71:34 - 71:41
to take one lesson at a time and I believe
that this is going to be the beginning of
  • 71:41 - 71:46
something new. And as I told you last
time if you have a question to go
  • 71:46 - 71:53
deeper into my book, The Last Reformation. What
I have seen is that many order my book and then
  • 71:53 - 71:58
they give it out. Many people are like one
person in Holland who bought five books
  • 71:58 - 72:03
and ordered five more because he wanted other
people to read them because it does something
  • 72:03 - 72:08
inside of people. They are longing to get
free, they are longing to experience
  • 72:08 - 72:15
the fire again and to be used by God.
And now you who are priests in the church,
  • 72:16 - 72:20
who are a little afraid, who are saying, "I
am ordained, I am a priest, what’s happening
  • 72:21 - 72:27
here?" I just want to say, "That is
freedom, relax." I was working as a priest
  • 72:27 - 72:34
in the traditional way and I was not happy
because people were not growing and I was fighting
  • 72:34 - 72:41
and striving, trying to do everything. But I
saw what this mind-set was and I changed it.
  • 72:41 - 72:50
I am now so much more fruitful than I have ever
    been before and I didn’t lose people. I don’t
  • 72:50 - 72:55
own people so I cannot lose them. But I don’t
lose people because when they see that I want
  • 72:55 - 73:01
to set them free and equip them, they respected
me. Not because they were members, not
  • 73:01 - 73:07
because I owned them, but because of love,
because of respect. So I want to tell those who
  • 73:07 - 73:14
are priests, who are leaders in the church, this
is going to set you free, this is going to
  • 73:14 - 73:19
set your church free through this teaching. Again,
I am not against the church, this is not against
  • 73:19 - 73:30
the church, it is freedom. I heard some pastors
talk about some statistics. 80% are fighting
  • 73:30 - 73:36
with stress in the churches today. So
many people stop before they become
  • 73:36 - 73:42
pastor leaders because of their stress. Stress
goes into a family and it goes against the
  • 73:42 - 73:46
family and the kids. Because the pastors are working
all the time and they are doing everything.
  • 73:47 - 73:53
It is an unthankful job to be a
priest in the old way. But Jesus didn’t
  • 73:54 - 74:00
come with an unthankful job. He has called us
leaders but we have to do it the right way
  • 74:00 - 74:07
so that we are bearing fruits and will
    experience freedom within ourselves.
  • 74:07 - 74:10
We will continue next week. God bless you. Bye bye.
Title:
2 lesson - Religion or Jesus - The Pioneer School
Description:

http://www.TheLastReformation.com
Jesus did not come with a new religion. He did not come that we should just go to a certain place (church) at a specific time (Sunday church service) where a certain person (priest) do certain things that we can not do. No, he came with a kingdom that is so much different than what we see in the "church" today. So do you want religion or the kingdom of God which Jesus came with? See this amazing teaching.
