0:20 - 0:25This is the first film product of the
Superior School of Cinema of Buenos Aires. -
0:25 - 0:30It's objective is essentially pedagogic. The
young students. More than looking for -
0:30 - 0:35a job hope, they go thru the main door to
arrive to the magical and -
0:35 - 1:08wonderful movie making world.
-
1:08 - 1:11The subway is without a doubt,
-
1:11 - 1:14a symbol of these times.
-
1:14 - 1:19A labyrinth where in silence
we cross each other, -
1:19 - 1:21without knowing who nor
where they're going. -
1:21 - 1:23Hundreds of routes,
-
1:23 - 1:28on which we take advantage to establish
a balance, to re-look a situation, -
1:28 - 1:33and try to ride more than a train,
-
1:33 - 1:36a change of life...
-
1:36 - 1:37It's a strange game,
-
1:37 - 1:40on which we submerge ourselves
in infinite tunnels -
1:40 - 1:44without realizing that in each
transfer -
1:44 - 1:49we're definitively changing
our destiny -
1:49 - 1:54With the subway I found the most
powerful machine to look, -
1:54 - 2:09but I've never imagined what will
happen to me in the near future. -

4:24 - 4:31Attention garage!
This is Bolivar! -
4:31 - 4:34Copy me, garage!
-
4:34 - 4:38Can someone answer me?!
-
4:38 - 4:40This is garage, Bolivar, I copy you.
-
4:40 - 4:46I received a call from "Plaza Italia", we're late
and with overflow. Send another "comboy"! -
4:46 - 4:47You copied that?
-
4:47 - 4:50I've sent everything, Bolivar.
-
4:50 - 4:54What do you mean everything?
-
4:54 - 4:57I sent the last car a while ago,
I have nothing here... huh. -
4:57 - 5:00What?! That can't be.
You should have more trains! -
5:00 - 5:03You should have at least one more.
-
5:03 - 5:07- I have nothing!
- Well, okay. I'll see where I can find another one. -
5:07 - 5:12But you check your list. You may be having one
more in your sector, and you haven't noticed. -
5:12 - 5:14Understood?
-
5:14 - 5:18Listen Bolivar, I repeat, I have nothing
to check in here. -
5:18 - 5:38Why are you telling me that? Do you know you're
talking to your boss, dammit!? Understood! -
5:38 - 6:24"Route 2"
-
6:24 - 6:29Yes, this is Juan Vega.
-
6:29 - 6:32I don't understand.
-
6:32 - 7:36What did you lost?
-
7:36 - 7:39- Now what?
- And we keep on going straight? -
7:39 - 7:41Straight to the right, or
straight to the left -
7:41 - 7:46If you don't pay attention, we'll stay
here all night. -
7:46 - 7:50- Which way should I take, boss?
- Well... can't you see we can't move? -
7:50 - 7:52Well, if it's because of the lights,
we ain't going no where -
7:52 - 7:54Besides, there are a lot out of order
-
7:54 - 8:35What you talking about?
-
8:35 - 9:32Hello? Please put me through the CEO
-
9:32 - 9:35Sir?
-
9:35 - 10:08Vega, I hope you have a good reason to
made me come down here. -
10:08 - 10:11I was expecting you.
-
10:11 - 10:15You can't imagine how well
I feel here, Pratt. -
10:15 - 10:19Taking some fresh air.
-
10:19 - 10:25I can't stand the closed feeling of the office
-
10:25 - 10:32I feel like taking one of these routes and never
coming back to this city, that why I make them -
10:32 - 10:36If I ask to any of the architects this, they'll
think I just gave up. -
10:36 - 10:38And I...
-
10:38 - 10:43I don't want to go back top the subway thing
just because some nut got the idea. -
10:43 - 10:46This work for me is done.
-
10:46 - 10:49Yes but I, I don't know how can I help you.
I didn't participate in this project, -
10:49 - 10:52and I'm not even an architect.
-
10:52 - 10:55I don't need an architect.
-
10:55 - 10:59Besides, no one wants to go back
down there, it's very hot. -
10:59 - 11:05I called you 'cause I know you like problems.
In fact, you dedicated yourself to math, isn't it? -
11:05 - 11:11- Topology
- Ah! The fascination for the analysis of surfaces, -
11:11 - 11:16one formula, one calculation
and you keep it in a book. -
11:16 - 11:25It seems to weird to me... Like those expositions
that CEO of the subway does... that Blazi. -
11:25 - 11:28Go and see what is happening to him.
That way I can be more calmed. -
11:28 - 11:33Maybe you'll find that crazy nut interesting.
-
11:33 - 11:37Although I doubt it, Anyways, I don't want to
tire you more. When we finished the perimetral -
11:37 - 11:43construction, everything was okay and we were
done. Now they have flaws. -
11:43 - 11:50One more thing, just in case... The original
planes are in the public works archive. -
11:50 - 11:54Ours are an identical copy from
those approved a year ago. -
11:54 - 11:58But that's just a detail, actually I
don't know what they want. -
11:58 - 12:01But if it's Blazi, it can be
just about anything. -
12:01 - 12:07Anyways, please don't look
for me for nothing -
12:07 - 12:11- What's that for?
- I don't know -
12:11 - 12:17They told me it potentials the perception.
-
12:17 - 12:19Resolve it.
-
12:19 - 12:54Oh! And tell Blazi I went far, far away,
by the highway. -
12:54 - 12:59I assure you we're doing what we can.
-
12:59 - 13:07But you can imagine that I cannot look thru
all the network for just a supposition. -
13:07 - 13:14Well, you know how the kids are,
they just love the subway. -
13:14 - 13:20Ma'am, 5 million people pass by
here everyday. -
13:20 - 13:28I'm sorry, it's your responsibility.
If you don't know where he is, it's your problem. -
13:28 - 13:36- Mr. Blazi, someone of the construction arrived
- Let him in... -
13:36 - 13:44Yes ma'am, I understand,
huh... excuse me ma'am... -
13:44 - 13:50You know... I have things to do, ma'am.
-
13:50 - 13:53Come in!
-
13:53 - 13:56- Sir...
- Daniel Brat. -
13:56 - 14:00Excuse my amazement, but I was
expecting my old friend Beker. -
14:00 - 14:03He might arrive later, 'cause
I told him I needed him -
14:03 - 14:08No, you see, Mr. Beker had to leave town in
a hurry, and asked me to replace him. -
14:08 - 14:13He might be nuts, as if this
is just bullshit... -
14:13 - 14:15I asked him not lo leave
me alone in this -
14:15 - 14:19He gave me all the instructions, so I can
resolve anything you might need. -
14:19 - 14:22How would you help me if you don't have
the slightest idea of what's this all about? -
14:22 - 14:27He should have called
-
14:27 - 14:31Beker, thinks these are beginners stuff
-
14:31 - 14:34I'm topologist, a mathematician.
-
14:34 - 14:36What is that good for?
-
14:36 - 14:44It's a branch of mathematics which studies
surfaces and converts them into formulas. -
14:44 - 14:52So useful for my nerves.
This is it! ...look go to the office and tell... -
14:52 - 14:54Mr. Blazi
-
14:54 - 14:57What's going on today that
nobody asks permission?! -
14:57 - 15:23It's happening again...
-
15:23 - 15:26Come.
-
15:26 - 15:29I need you to pay attention.
-
15:29 - 15:32I want you to look everything that's going on,
so you can tell Beker this isn't bullshit. -
15:32 - 15:36If I called him is not because I'm hysteric,
but I have a reason to call him. -
15:36 - 15:44Of course, I'm going to ask you have caution
and discretion with everything you hear or see. -
15:44 - 15:48Don't go around telling anyone,
you know how this is... -
15:48 - 15:53Then, anything can be published at the
newspaper and find myself implicated in nothing. -
15:53 - 15:56Imagine that, a man like me cannot
neglect those details. -
15:56 - 16:01What? That one doesn't work either?
Fix it at once. -
16:01 - 16:06Millions of people are being transported in these tunnels daily, you cannot control everyone.
-
16:06 - 16:10Look, if someone plants a bomb. What face
do you want us to put, huh? -
16:10 - 16:13Everything that happens here
inside is my responsibility. -
16:13 - 16:20Imagine that being the CEO of this place isn't easy.
This is a very difficult situation. -
16:20 - 16:26Sir, we have train 101 coming from Ezeiza,
stopped at the access tunnel. -
16:26 - 16:37I already gave it the passing order. It's blocking
two levels and they refuse to go on. -
16:37 - 16:40Communication open to 101.
-
16:40 - 16:44Intern 101, this is the CEO.
-
16:44 - 16:46What's going on that you refuse to advance?
-
16:46 - 16:48From red it went to green and from green
it went to red, I cannot take that risk, -
16:48 - 16:50How do I know there's no other train
coming from the other side? -
16:50 - 16:53The pass is blocked.
-
16:53 - 16:56That's a negative, 101. The pass is free.
-
16:56 - 16:59Yes, no sir, but you know it's forbidden.
If we crash... -
16:59 - 17:03Advance 101, I repeat,
the pass is free -
17:03 - 17:06- But listen to me, I don't...
- Keep on going, I order you! -
17:06 - 17:13- I can't...
- Move! -
17:13 - 17:18If this keeps on like that, we will be forced to
stop that line and cross all the sector... -
17:18 - 17:20I don't think that would be convenient.
-
17:20 - 17:38Since the perimetral system was opened,
it became too complex to close. -
17:38 - 17:52Driver Rodriguez, Driver Rodriguez, you are
required at the signals cabin -
17:52 - 17:55Subway informs you: the temperature
outside in our city -
17:55 - 18:01is 38.7º C, humidity at 90%
-
18:01 - 18:04What's going on with you? I tell you to
move and you refuse to? -
18:04 - 18:07But the light changed constantly,
what did you want me to do? -
18:07 - 18:09if the 86 is coming at the cross, we might crash
-
18:09 - 18:13Lower your voice tone, I'm the CEO
-
18:13 - 18:15If I say you to move, you must move.
-
18:15 - 18:18But there's a regulation we must follow
Sir, if the light is red we cannot mo.. -
18:18 - 18:20Forget about the Regulation!
The only one that knows what has to -
18:20 - 18:23be done here is me.
And you must obey me! -
18:23 - 18:26But that can't be sir,
those are directives of the company -
18:26 - 18:28life of the people is in danger,
it's impossible. -
18:28 - 18:32I repeat, the only one that knows
what has to be done here is me. -
18:32 - 18:35Oh really?
-
18:35 - 18:44You drive then, Sir.
-
18:44 - 18:53Come.
-
18:53 - 18:57You still think I'm lying,
-
18:57 - 19:06I guess you already noticed how
bad this problem is. -
19:06 - 19:12Lights detect the pass of the trains, where
there are any, in other words, they're failing -
19:12 - 19:19There are routes changes when
we don't make one. -
19:19 - 19:24And there's a complete train we can't find.
-
19:24 - 19:31There are so many tunnels, that we don't have
enough personnel to search for it. -
19:31 - 19:36At midnight, some authorities will come to
the Park Station. -
19:36 - 19:41To do the same movements in the place
that train was last seen. -
19:41 - 19:46And I'm supposed to give them an
explanation of what happened. -
19:46 - 19:56Funny thing is that I have no explanation
'cause I don't know what's going on. -
19:56 - 20:00...and I'm the CEO.
-
20:00 - 20:05Listen, I need all the planes approved
by the ministry. -
20:05 - 20:09Just in case they ask something, you see?
-
20:09 - 20:15How do I explain the disappearing
of a complete train? -
20:15 - 20:19I trust you'll come with the planes.
-
20:19 - 20:21What was your name?
-
20:21 - 20:27- Daniel Prat.
- Okay, Mr. Prat, I'll be expecting you this evening. -
20:27 - 20:38And if you come out with an idea,
please tell me. -
20:38 - 20:51Driver Figueroa, Driver Figueroa, please
go to the mantainment office. -
20:51 - 20:53- Constructor
- Yes, I'd like to speak with Mr. Deker. -
20:53 - 20:55I'm sorry, he's not available.
-
20:55 - 20:57- Who is it?
- Daniel Prad -
20:57 - 20:58Would you like to leave a message?
-
20:58 - 21:01Tell him to call the ministry
-
21:01 - 21:26And authorize me to make copies
of the perimetral planes. -
21:26 - 21:28No one told me you'd be here.
-
21:28 - 21:3327, 28, 29, 30...
-
21:33 - 21:37I've been ordering these
archives for 40 years. -
21:37 - 21:40Are you sure they are over here?
-
21:40 - 21:44Of course, the question
is where! -
21:44 - 21:47Just about now, they think of
changing of building. -
21:47 - 21:49They may have done it on purpose.
-
21:49 - 21:53Excuse me, which requirement
did you told me? -
21:53 - 21:54The last one, the one about the
perimetral -
21:54 - 21:58Let's see, let me think.
-
21:58 - 22:00I think we're doing fine.
-
22:00 - 22:0831, 32, 33, 34...
-
22:08 - 22:10There have been other movements,
-
22:10 - 22:13but inside the building.
-
22:13 - 22:18Other floors, years ago there was a flood
-
22:18 - 22:21that made all these archives
-
22:21 - 22:23to float for days.
-
22:23 - 22:31It's in the upper shelf.
-
22:31 - 22:39Let me do it.
-
22:39 - 22:40There's nothing in here.
-
22:40 - 22:42- It can't be!
- There's nothing in here. -
22:42 - 22:46- It might be some other place
- Take a good look -
22:46 - 23:00- It's empty
- I'll be back -
23:00 - 23:03I think you're out of luck
-
23:03 - 23:05Those took'em
-
23:05 - 23:07But they can't
-
23:07 - 23:11- Original planes
- It depends who asks for them. -
23:11 - 23:15As always, the person who took'em...
-
23:15 - 23:18was a project adviser
-
23:18 - 23:21So, I couldn't say no to him
-
23:21 - 23:25You understood? I think I remember the fella.
-
23:25 - 23:29He was a very quite man,
that sometime before -
23:29 - 23:34He used to come and stayed
hours checking those planes -
23:34 - 23:38Here he is, Hugo Mistein
-
23:38 - 24:29Do you have anything to do with him?
-
24:29 - 24:31We must take on account
that they're analyzing -
24:31 - 24:32The aspects of pure theory
-
24:32 - 24:34Not applicable until the moment
-
24:34 - 24:36Which means...
-
24:36 - 24:38- Is this Topology 3 class?
- Yes -
24:38 - 24:42The conclusion is that 2 topological spaces
-
24:42 - 24:44Or that they're not formally identical
-
24:44 - 24:46Are the same that apply
-
24:46 - 24:48For all the ministries
-
24:48 - 24:50In other sciences branches.
-
24:50 - 24:52If for example an astronomer presents
-
24:52 - 24:54An acceptable theory about the universe
-
24:54 - 24:55For the normal street man
-
24:55 - 24:58Surely is wrong
-
24:58 - 25:00But if someone said, for example
-
25:00 - 25:03That in some regions, time paralyzes
-
25:03 - 25:07He could have, at least, listened it
-
25:07 - 25:11You might be right
-
25:11 - 25:13Sciences and philosophies still
-
25:13 - 25:15are a bit weir, gentleman.
-
25:15 - 25:31Thank you for your attention
Class dismissed. -
25:31 - 25:32Can I ask you a question?
-
25:32 - 25:34Are you a student?
-
25:34 - 25:37No, not anymore. I graduated quite a while ago
-
25:37 - 25:38How may I help you?
-
25:38 - 25:41Well, I'm looking for a professor
-
25:41 - 25:42that was in charge of this class
-
25:42 - 25:44At least he was for many years
-
25:44 - 25:45Doctor Mistein
-
25:45 - 25:49You don't lose your time
How much time since you last saw hi? -
25:49 - 25:51About 5 years...
-
25:51 - 25:53You must be from the latest generations
-
25:53 - 25:56he had. Sometime later, he left
-
25:56 - 25:58- the university
- Why? -
25:58 - 26:00He was distracted, lost interest
-
26:00 - 26:04During classes, he had his
mind in something else. -
26:04 - 26:08Do you know how to find him?
-
26:08 - 26:09Hum... Yes, possibly
-
26:09 - 26:12I have a phone number and an old address
-
26:12 - 26:14Where we used to call him
-
26:14 - 26:19He refused to talk to us and
we never knew why -
26:19 - 26:21I don't know what happened to him
-
26:21 - 26:24The few ones we are on this... here it is
-
26:24 - 26:32Appreciate him very much
-
26:32 - 26:42Well, please excuse me,
it's getting late... Goodbye -
26:42 - 26:56Thanks
-
26:56 - 27:08Downstairs
-
27:08 - 27:09Do you know where can I find a telephone?
-
27:09 - 27:14- Downstairs
- Thanks -
27:14 - 27:33Underground
-
27:33 - 27:34Hello
-
27:34 - 27:37Hello, may I speak to professor Mistein?
-
27:37 - 27:40- No
- But, is he there? -
27:40 - 27:44- No, he's not
-
27:44 - 27:46Can you tell me at what time he'll be back?
-
27:46 - 27:49- I don't know
- Do you know where he is? -
27:49 - 27:51How should I know.
-
27:51 - 27:55If you want to leave him a message,
I can do that for you. -
27:55 - 27:58Yes... Do you have something to write to?
-
27:58 - 28:00Yes, who are you?
-
28:00 - 28:03- I'm Daniel Prad
- Prad? -
28:03 - 28:05From the studio of del Plata
-
28:05 - 28:08It's about a job he did for the subway
-
28:08 - 28:11Slowly
-
28:11 - 32:19We need some planes...
-
32:19 - 32:29You live here?
-
32:29 - 32:33I wanted to know if
professor Mistein is here. -
32:33 - 32:40He lives here, doesn't he?
-
32:40 - 32:41I called many times before coming, but
-
32:41 - 32:45It's not easy to reach communication
with this place. -
32:45 - 32:47I thought that maybe the line was damaged
-
32:47 - 32:50And since I need to talk with the professor
-
32:50 - 32:56- I decided to come.
- You called just once. -
32:56 - 33:00And I said he wasn't here
-
33:00 - 33:05He came back
-
33:05 - 33:07I came 'cause I need
some papers from the job -
33:07 - 33:13He has them and I need them
-
33:13 - 33:17Look in the apartment if he's there and
if he's OK. -
33:17 - 33:23And if your not lying.
-
33:23 - 34:03Since when you don't see him?
-
34:03 - 37:26If you steal anything... I scream
-
37:26 - 37:50Wait
-
37:50 - 37:52April, April? Are you there?
-
37:52 - 37:58Open the door... Who are you with?
-
37:58 - 38:01- Over here
- Stairs are dirty -
38:01 - 38:02This is disgusting, you didn't
-
38:02 - 38:05do anything I asked you to, open
-
38:05 - 38:15open the door, you'll see
-
38:15 - 38:16You should be alone
-
38:16 - 38:19Damn girl, I told you I don't want
-
38:19 - 38:21- Come on!
- April! -
38:21 - 38:23April, open up
-
38:23 - 38:54April
-
38:54 - 38:58Come, come!
-
38:58 - 39:10Wait
-
39:10 - 39:14You know how to go back
to your house from here? -
39:14 - 39:15'Cause I have a meeting right now
-
39:15 - 39:17And people is waiting
-
39:17 - 39:19They won't like to see you.
-
39:19 - 39:22My mother wouldn't like to see you either.
-
39:22 - 39:26But I let you in anyways.
-
39:26 - 39:45Come
-
39:45 - 39:46Excuse me, the CEO?
-
39:46 - 40:26- Down there, underground 2
- Thanks -
40:26 - 40:32- Why are we here?
- We're looking for a ghost train -
40:32 - 40:37Sit there
-
40:37 - 40:38You keep this, stay here
and don't move. -
40:38 - 40:53Yes? Is here?
-
40:53 - 40:56Excuse me, I'm looking for the CEO
-
40:56 - 40:57Is he over here?
-
40:57 - 40:58He's out of duty,
-
40:58 - 41:29Who gave you authorization
to be down here? -
41:29 - 41:32What are you doing here?
-
41:32 - 41:35- Mr. Blassi
- What took you so long, Prad? -
41:35 - 41:38This girl is with you?
-
41:38 - 41:39I'm sorry I couldn't come before.
-
41:39 - 41:43It was impossible for me
-
41:43 - 41:46But I think what's this all about
-
41:46 - 41:50Are these the ministry's plan?
-
41:50 - 41:53What happened?
-
41:53 - 41:54I hope you know what you'll say
-
41:54 - 41:56The train is still gone
-
41:56 - 41:58And I don't want to have more
problems than I already do. -
41:58 - 42:07Now come with me.
-
42:07 - 42:12Here, I leave you this so you play
whilst I speak to these people. -
42:12 - 42:20Okay.
-
42:20 - 42:27Exactly, we checked everything and...
- Gentlemen -
42:27 - 42:30Mr. Daniel Prad.
-
42:30 - 42:32Representing studio Del Plata.
-
42:32 - 42:36They built the perimetral connection
-
42:36 - 42:40Mr. Kent, our Engineer Chief
-
42:40 - 42:43Mr. Aguirre, representing intendancy
-
42:43 - 42:47Dr. Canotti from the central military hospital.
-
42:47 - 42:52Dr. Nazar from del Sur insurance co.
-
42:52 - 43:02And our driver... Edmundo
-
43:02 - 43:03Please try to specify.
-
43:03 - 43:04You saw it, or not?
-
43:04 - 43:09Well yes, I mean... we practically saw it
-
43:09 - 43:10When we found that red light
-
43:10 - 43:13Just at the entrance of the General Paz joint
-
43:13 - 43:16Couldn't that be another train?
-
43:16 - 43:18All trains have been retired from the tracks.
-
43:18 - 43:23Except this one... We are the only ones we've
-
43:23 - 43:28traveling thru the system
during the last four hours -
43:28 - 43:30When Edmundo stopped in
front of the red light -
43:30 - 43:32I thought it was out of order.
-
43:32 - 43:37That's why I told him to keep on going
-
43:37 - 43:40That's when we heard the noise
-
43:40 - 43:44the other train was doing
whilst crossing the joint. -
43:44 - 43:47- You saw it?
- No, no, we couldn't see it. -
43:47 - 43:50The light is just before the curve
-
43:50 - 43:52But... we all heard it.
-
43:52 - 43:55Why didn't you followed it?
-
43:55 - 43:57Well... we were not sure about
where it went to. -
43:57 - 44:00It was there, we cannot be wrong about it.
-
44:00 - 44:02That was at 1:38, wasn't it?
-
44:02 - 44:05- Yes, the first time.
- The first. -
44:05 - 44:09Gentlemen, this chat is going nowhere.
-
44:09 - 44:11So, later it happened again
-
44:11 - 44:13Yes, but not in the same place
-
44:13 - 44:17We found another red signal
near the joint -
44:17 - 44:18Yesterday at 2:15
-
44:18 - 44:22Then, again at 3:30
-
44:22 - 44:23You saw the train at 2:15?
-
44:23 - 44:27No, we didn't but we felt
the vibration -
44:27 - 44:29So, I tried to reach it, but...
-
44:29 - 44:32It must have turn somewhere else
at the General Paz joint -
44:32 - 45:23'Cause there's a declivity beyond the light
-
45:23 - 45:25It's impossible that that train was
-
45:25 - 45:27circulating during all these days
-
45:27 - 45:29Without no one noticing
-
45:29 - 45:30What's impossible is that you
-
45:30 - 45:34are surprised being the main responsible
-
45:34 - 45:38- Now in the moment that...
- Wait a second, young man. -
45:38 - 46:12We aren't here to hear
questions, but to make'em -
46:12 - 46:23This time we've got it.
-
46:23 - 46:39It's passing by the inferior level
where Maloni is -
46:39 - 46:41You saw it? It's passed near by.
-
46:41 - 46:44- It passed by the lower level
- Not, the higher one -
46:44 - 46:48- No! It passed by the lower level
- What is going on, Blassi? -
46:48 - 46:50You saw it by yourself, it passed down here,
am I right? -
46:50 - 46:52- Yes, yes, yes.
-
46:52 - 46:53You really saw it?
-
46:53 - 46:56We heard it, it passed by the upper level
-
46:56 - 46:58And I think in that direction.
-
46:58 - 47:01Maloni, go back downstairs.
-
47:01 - 47:06Excuse me
-
47:06 - 47:10Tell the authorities I'll be right there.
-
47:10 - 47:12Engineer, Is there any way to communicate
-
47:12 - 47:20- to the Main office?
- Yes, yes, come with me. -
47:20 - 47:30Mr. Blassi says he's coming
in a moment. -
47:30 - 47:32Main office, this is Kent, it's urgent.
-
47:32 - 47:35Please inform what is sector fours reading.
-
47:35 - 47:37The consumption is equal to standard lighting.
-
47:37 - 47:42In tunnels and stations, plus an intern rolling
-
47:42 - 47:45Please specify consumption.
-
47:45 - 47:47Everything's normal boss, we only have
-
47:47 - 47:49you rolling.
-
47:49 - 47:52Cut the main electricity provision.
-
47:52 - 48:09until I tell you.
-
48:09 - 48:12Done, boss. Now, what do we do?
-
48:12 - 48:17Watch the monitors and warn me if
you see any change. -
48:17 - 48:20This is nuts, we've been transiting
only in one wagon -
48:20 - 48:23- That's too much consumption.
- What's going on, Blassi? -
48:23 - 48:27We have indications of a train
transiting by the system. -
48:27 - 48:31When will we know the circuit
has been interrupted? -
48:31 - 48:33I don't know, maybe it's just a flight
-
48:33 - 48:40Yes of course, the flight of a train
inside the system. -
48:40 - 48:43Now we're going to check it
-
48:43 - 48:55Restore the electricity
-
48:55 - 48:57Now there's consumption
at various sectors. -
48:57 - 48:59Did you authorized this maneuver?
-
48:59 - 49:02Different zones at the network
are registering that -
49:02 - 49:04Probably those are unhooked wagons around.
-
49:04 - 49:29Can you please explain
us what's going on? -
49:29 - 49:42Gentlemen, I think the young man
has something to tell us. -
49:42 - 49:45We have a disappeared train
-
49:45 - 49:48with people.
-
49:48 - 49:51But the system is closed
-
49:51 - 49:55Trains cannot go out.
-
49:55 - 49:5686 is at the system.
-
49:56 - 49:58What are you saying?
-
49:58 - 50:02All the system was checked and
It's not here, what do you think... -
50:02 - 50:04that we're playing to 'hide the train'?
-
50:04 - 50:08Shut up Dr. Nazar. Let him
finish his explanation. -
50:08 - 50:10We know the train was going to
the Plaza de Mayo station. -
50:10 - 50:15The morning of the 4th... but we
also know it never arrived. -
50:15 - 50:17Such a novelty, Prad.
-
50:17 - 50:20And when it entered the tunnel that
crosses Maldonado river... -
50:20 - 50:24it transformed into a boat and now's
sailing to Africa. -
50:24 - 50:27Excuse me, Dr.
-
50:27 - 50:29How can you explain a train can..
-
50:29 - 50:32be running wild around the tracks
since March 4th until today -
50:32 - 50:35without being seen for almost 5 days?
-
50:35 - 50:40That's exactly like that engineer.
-
50:40 - 50:44Is that this train cannot be seen.
-
50:44 - 50:48This train... Intern 86
-
50:48 - 50:52Without showing any kind of
mechanical failure -
50:52 - 50:54With the whole network working
-
50:54 - 50:58With other 300 trains around
-
50:58 - 51:02Somewhere during its route
-
51:02 - 51:05just vanished
-
51:05 - 51:06Somehow it found a node...
-
51:06 - 51:09A node! What is 'a node'?
-
51:09 - 51:13The system that keeps the track clean
-
51:13 - 51:15In those, nothing else but trains circulate
-
51:15 - 51:18I still don't understand.
-
51:18 - 51:23A node is not an obstruction
-
51:23 - 51:25In topology...
-
51:25 - 51:31a node is a particularity
-
51:31 - 51:32A pole of superior order
-
51:32 - 51:34I don't understand anything.
-
51:34 - 51:36And I think nobody else does.
-
51:36 - 51:39Dr. Nazar, please don't complicate
things even more -
51:39 - 51:43I think this was caused by a new branch
-
51:43 - 51:45And what does the perimetral
has to do with all this? -
51:45 - 51:48The system is a network with an
amazing topological -
51:48 - 51:54complexity, you'll see from the
latest extension. -
51:54 - 51:55But the perimetral must have done something
-
51:55 - 51:59absolutely singular.
-
51:59 - 52:03I still don't understand very well.
-
52:03 - 52:05But I believe that the new branch has taken
-
52:05 - 52:07the connectivity of the whole system
-
52:07 - 52:10to an order so high
-
52:10 - 52:11that I don't know how to calculate it.
-
52:11 - 52:15I think it has made it to infinity.
-
52:15 - 52:22If it's like that gentlemen, we can deduce
-
52:22 - 52:37that the system behaves as
a Moebius belt. -
52:37 - 52:39May I?
-
52:39 - 52:41If you look this paper, you'll find out that
-
52:41 - 52:43This is a simple two faced belt,
-
52:43 - 52:47but if we join both extremes...
-
52:47 - 52:55like this, we obtain a very
particular belt. -
52:55 - 52:56It's a one faced belt.
-
52:56 - 53:00on which we could circulate
endlessly -
53:00 - 53:05But this...
-
53:05 - 53:08Translated to a subway network,
-
53:08 - 53:13must have an infinite number of particularities.
-
53:13 - 53:19Could you imagine what can the properties
of a network like this could be? -
53:19 - 53:22I can't either.
-
53:22 - 53:25To tell you the truth...
-
53:25 - 53:28The structure of the whole perimetral
system, is way beyond -
53:28 - 53:32my reach.
-
53:32 - 53:34I can't do anything but suppositions.
-
53:34 - 53:36This is outrageous.
-
53:36 - 53:40We have 200 kilometers of tunnels
-
53:40 - 53:42How can it be that a finite surface
-
53:42 - 53:47Can convert into an infinite one?
-
53:47 - 53:49That's a good question
-
53:49 - 53:53But anyways it happened. It happened.
-
53:53 - 53:58Do you have any idea about the passengers?
-
53:58 - 53:59None.
-
53:59 - 54:01Hold on a minute, Prad.
-
54:01 - 54:04If what's making this whole confusion
-
54:04 - 54:06is the perimetral, first we close it.
-
54:06 - 54:09and then, if things are like you say
-
54:09 - 54:11We can keep on with our normal operations.
-
54:11 - 54:13Without collision danger.
-
54:13 - 54:18If you close the perimetral, the train will never reappear
-
54:18 - 54:20What is not certain
-
54:20 - 54:21is that when it appears...
-
54:21 - 54:26it will be translating itself
to the right direction. -
54:26 - 54:32And in that case...
-
54:32 - 54:33An accident may be possible.
-
54:33 - 54:37Mr. Blassi, how many people
do you think are in that train? -
54:37 - 54:45Well, I think between 30 or 40 people.
-
54:45 - 54:49Hey Prad, you want us to believe that
-
54:49 - 54:51the train has jumped to another dimension,
-
54:51 - 54:54that it's actually not inside the system
-
54:54 - 54:59that it's gone, isn't that true?
-
54:59 - 55:01It's a way to say it.
-
55:01 - 55:05And this peculiar behavior
-
55:05 - 55:08has been produced by certain mathematical
-
55:08 - 55:15properties associated to the
new perimetral joint? -
55:15 - 55:15Exactly
-
55:15 - 55:18And is there anything we could
do to bring the train back -
55:18 - 55:28to this dimension?
-
55:28 - 55:35I don't know.
-
55:35 - 55:42Is this the possible explanation?
-
55:42 - 55:43You're a lame.
-
55:43 - 55:46Is this the result of your study?
-
55:46 - 55:53Do you have any other idea?
-
55:53 - 55:55It's a disgrace you've got no one
-
55:55 - 56:25that can give us a coherent explanation.
-
56:25 - 56:30Prad, one question. To avoid
the possibility of collision... -
56:30 - 56:32Can't we leave the perimetral
joint open? -
56:32 - 56:34But without the train to pass by it.
-
56:34 - 56:37So that if the train from above appears
-
56:37 - 56:41Couldn't crash with another train
-
56:41 - 56:43That wouldn't be an useful protection
-
56:43 - 56:45'Cause now with the new joint
-
56:45 - 56:47The whole network has an infinite
connectivity -
56:47 - 56:49Hey Mr. Mathematician!
-
56:49 - 56:51Do you think you made me
a favor in this subject? -
56:51 - 56:55I don't want to see you here,
do you understand!? -
56:55 - 56:59Mr. Blassi, Mr. Blassi
-
56:59 - 57:25I found this girl at the first level
walking by the tracks -
57:25 - 57:28Where are we heading to now?
-
57:28 - 57:32Nowhere, besides you
must go back home. -
57:32 - 57:34Someone may be looking for you
-
57:34 - 57:36What! Now to my home?
-
57:36 - 58:33Just now?
-
58:33 - 58:35Come, we may ride it!
-
58:35 - 61:32No, you go if you want.
I need to stay here for a while. -
61:32 - 61:33Your attention please
-
61:33 - 61:35We would like to let the people know
-
61:35 - 63:40That there are only 3 more
train boardings. Thank you. -
63:40 - 63:42To all passengers.
-
63:42 - 63:45We'd like to inform you that
we have suspended -
63:45 - 63:48The service due to line flaws.
-
63:48 - 71:24We're sorry for any inconvenience
this might have to you. Thank you. -
71:24 - 71:28You had trouble arriving, didn't you?
-
71:28 - 71:33Dr. Mistein
-
71:33 - 71:43Calm down. I know you've got
a lot of questions to ask. -
71:43 - 71:45We're traveling at an impossible speed
-
71:45 - 71:49A simple track change.
-
71:49 - 71:54The train crossed a joint after a curve
-
71:54 - 71:56The just combination
-
71:56 - 71:58At the right moment
-
71:58 - 72:07To apply the properties of a Moebius belt
-
72:07 - 72:12Invented the perfect machine
-
72:12 - 72:14That's blasphemy, son.
-
72:14 - 72:18Man has invented numerous machines
-
72:18 - 72:20But he forgets he is himself a machine
-
72:20 - 72:23Much more complicated than any
machine no one has ever built. -
72:23 - 72:25There will be no limits now.
-
72:25 - 72:28There never were.
-
72:28 - 72:35Man doesn't know neither his limits
nor his possibilities. -
72:35 - 72:43He doesn't even know 'till what
point he knows himself. -
72:43 - 72:47But of course, we are so busy trying to find
-
72:47 - 72:52external values
-
72:52 - 72:55that we don't care what really matters
-
72:55 - 72:58But this is important
-
72:58 - 73:01I should say it and everything
would just change -
73:01 - 73:03But you said it!
-
73:03 - 73:06You explained it perfectly
-
73:06 - 73:10Today I passed by the Park Station
-
73:10 - 73:12And was able to look at you while
-
73:12 - 73:19you were trying to explain Moebius theory
-
73:19 - 73:21But, has someone believed you?
-
73:21 - 73:23No...
-
73:23 - 73:25But they'll believe you
-
73:25 - 73:32No, I would have used the same
words you used. -
73:32 - 73:36I would have said the truth
-
73:36 - 73:39What happens is that we live in a word
-
73:39 - 73:50where no one listens, my dear Prad.
-
73:50 - 73:52What do you plan to do with it?
-
73:52 - 73:55- Nothing.
- What do you mean "nothing"? -
73:55 - 73:59Don't worry Prad.
-
73:59 - 74:07The moment will arrive.
-
74:07 - 74:21Don't they understand what's going on?
-
74:21 - 74:26They... they will never awake
-
74:26 - 74:39Before finding out that they are asleep
-
74:39 - 74:42What are you afraid of Prad?
-
74:42 - 74:43Vertigo.
-
74:43 - 74:47That's normal
-
74:47 - 74:52No one can face the infinite without
feeling vertigo -
74:52 - 75:21No one can experiment it without
feeling a deep disagreement -
75:21 - 76:07If we're moving at the speed of thought
-
76:07 - 76:11How can someone be charmed of this life
-
76:11 - 76:16without attractiveness,
ingenuity or spontaneity -
76:16 - 76:20Why shouldn't I prefer to stay here
in the shadows -
76:20 - 76:23If out there is a sea of deafness
-
76:23 - 76:41That is taking us to be
irremediably ungrateful. -
76:41 - 76:52It can't be possible that all this gets lost
-
76:52 - 77:56Stay here in our souls
-
77:56 - 77:57Sir, sir, sir.
-
77:57 - 77:59The train was here
already when we arrived. -
77:59 - 78:01How much time since it's here?
-
78:01 - 78:04I don't know, we asked to the guarding
personnel, and they know nothing about it either. -
78:04 - 78:07Sir... what do we do?
-
78:07 - 79:07Wait, wait here.
-
79:07 - 79:14And Blassi, so much trouble and
the train was here? -
79:14 - 79:18Moebius
-
79:18 - 79:20Take it to the garage and
let's forget about this matter. -
79:20 - 79:32Understood?
-
79:32 - 81:05Nothing has happened here.
-
81:05 - 81:09I never imagined what will
happen to me -
81:09 - 81:12As soon as I reached the 86, I found
my old professor -
81:12 - 81:15Tired of repeating the same story
-
81:15 - 81:19Tired of fighting and speaking 'till death
just to be ignored -
81:19 - 81:24And in that precise moment, I felt
he was putting his time in my hands. -
81:24 - 81:26It's not difficult to understand why
I decided to follow his steps -
81:26 - 81:29In this no return trip
-
81:29 - 81:33Before trying to lose my time trying
to explain to a group of fools -
81:33 - 81:36Something they don't wish to understand
-
81:36 - 81:41Anyhow, the old man was right
-
81:41 - 82:25We live in a word where
nobody listens anymore -
82:25 - 82:35Hello? Yes? What? I don't understand,
are you sure about what you're telling me? -
82:35 - 82:41Lost... what was lost?
-
82:41 - 82:52Mr. CEO, Mr. CEO...

Sinopsis
