Remove recent browsing, search and download history

As you browse the web, Firefox helpfully remembers lots of information for you -- sites you've visited, files you've downloaded and more. All of this information is called your history. However, if you are using a public computer or share a computer with someone, you may not want others to be able to see these kinds of things. This video will how you how to delete this info. As you browse the web, Firefox helpfully remembers

lots of information for you, like what sites you've been to,

whether you're logged in or not and what you searched for.

If you're using a public computer or sharing a computer, you might not want people to have access to this information.

The clear recent history feature lets you go back

and remove some or all of this information.

Just click on the Firefox menu, go over to History and select Clear Recent History.

Usually, you can just click Clear Now and you are all done.

But you can change exactly what items get removed and how far back

they get removed. To do that, click the Time range drop-down menu,

to change from the last few hours to the whole day to

everything. But be careful with that Everything choice. Things like

the Awesome bar rely on your browsing history to help you quickly find

the sites you want to go to. So, you might not want to clear all of your history.

Next, click the arrow next to Details. Here,

you can change the specifics items you would like to remove from your history.
